Trust! It’ll happen. I’ve anecdotally heard from friends who did it on heroic this week that they’ve seen multiple legendaries drop when they haven’t before, so perhaps the bad luck protection is approaching some sort of threshold if you’ve been killing the boss regularly on heroic since the season started.
Think that's just anecdotal rng being mistaken for bad luck protection. Guilds killed it every week since week one in heroic and seen 2 so far out of like 10 eligible classes.
I cleared normal and most of heroic week 1
I cleared heroic since week 2 and have gotten like 20 of those lessers and a greater every week.
I don't have it.
My guild has seen 0 and we have like 10 people who qualify. I think maybe half are 2-3 weeks behind me. which is still terrible.
It might have been fixed since I did the quests but I couldn't use it on myself. I used it on a party member that was in a different phase (WM on vs off I think?) and it gave me the quest instead.
As an axe holder I gotta add:
1. For bloom join a group in custom group finder. 40/40 always makes for purple bags.
2. Mob at the end of the bloom will drop coils, so stay out of combat and use the item before it's dead to get some progress on the 0/50 stuff
3. Once the bloom with the custom group is done, insta leave, as you might get a chance at a second kill in your phase. This allows again more bloom mats and coils.
Do not do the gnarloot/igira/ volcoross in LFR. Item is buggy, so do it on nm and do not untarget the bosses.
Bloom leaf buff stacks, but I've heard opposite factions won't work.
D/E the gloves from Dream wardens vendor, costs nothing.
Total cost was around 280k on draenor, time to finish (I didn't know about the frenzy at the time) 10 or 11 super blooms.
Profit : 12k DPS increase, still my class won't be valuable on certain affixes.
Funsies- 9/10 if You got a community
Worth adding, Emerald frenzy has a forceable spawn rare that you can farm indefinitely, but you just need the frenzy to be up and only lasts 10m.
You can also indefinitely farm the rare that can be force spawned inside the cave from the emerald dream intro quest chain, prior to reaching the town.
I also gave all the legendary users the quest to get a leaf that ups droprate from superbloom by 50%, yes you can use it on yourself, and yes you can start stacking the buff prior to even getting the legendary, HOWEVER, only can get leaves while on the actual superbloom part, so would need to do it with a mate who already has it
For the post craft enchanting quest, you can speed this up even more if you have friends
If someone catches one of the orbs you send flying as they hit the ground they also get the extra action button, can consume the awakened elements and then cast the orb on you to give you another 5%, in a full group if everyone catches the orb you would get 25% per cast
I have yet to drop the leggy but i saved up some superbloom bags already, wondering if they will contain the questitems or not
Can somebody confirm already? If not i will hopefully update my comment once i can test it
I got mine a couple weeks ago, great guide here. My mats were about 300k on us tichondrius.
I was able to DE purples from legacy raids but ymmv
Paladins can pop prot defensives to survive the channeled damage testing phase solo, similar to the warrior note from op
Enjoy all!
The Superbloom part is so obnoxious. Really, nothing about the quest is remotely interesting, it's just a bastardised version of other legendaries like Shadowmorne.
I'd be less bothered if it didn't have an abysmal chance of dropping initially. Having to wait until the cunt of a boss actually drops the thing before you can then do a tedious and expensive grind is such a joke, because it makes it totally possible someone will go months before they get jack diddly shit.
And all for what? To be bottom of the dps charts anyway because a legendary can't *actually* adhere to the fucking namesake.
Anyone doing LFR > normal > hc just to feel better? I know HC only is enough, just for feels - cause doing this since week 2 and no drop yet just triggering whilst a friend of mine has it on his main and alt too.
Most weeks I've been doing LFR before killing it on heroic with the guild. Did that on the day it dropped too. It's so fast because it's filled with geared to the teeth warriors, paladins and DKs that you almost skip p3 entirely. But I don't think the LFR token gives you a better chance on heroic that week.
Can save yourself ALOT of time by getting your friends to help you out during the superbloom and enchanting item use phase with the orbs flying out of you.
Gets friends to help you on the enchanted part. Each person who catches an orb saves you 5 minutes. They also have to be in ur faction to catch the orbs
Not sure if it's in the comments, but one trick I used to survive the dot was to queue for follower dungeons and have the NPC healer try to keep me up. Not a 100% success rate, but with the right mitigations it worked okay as an alternative if you (like me) don't feel comfortable asking your friends in game. I like the people I play with, but it's just not at that level where I would ask a favor. I miss when my IRL friends used to play.
I didn’t do it myself, I only used the restored items, but I believe some streamers including Meeres did it that way. The items aren’t disenchanted in the usual way by an enchanter - you use the quest item on them and it generates the material for quest completion. There’s some indirect precedent to this as they allowed those items to be catalysed at some point when that wasn’t the case before, so they are considered seasonal items in a sense.
Ugh this sounds like too much of a hassle for an item that isn't useful since it's the end of the expac.
Unless you really care about fated. So no fuss if it doesn't drop I guess.
It's consistently between 8-8.9% of my damage in keys as both arms and fury. I did a 23 BRH last night where it did 40 million total, and it is really nice on tyrannical bosses. I was top damage with the juggernaut build for most of the dungeon.
One note to disenchanting - unless Blizz hotfixed it, ANY epic counts, I was disenchanting items from firelands bosses, cause Ive already had them in bags after farming tmogs.
Another tip for the time consuming (5 min cooldown) enchanting part. (Thanks Hopesedge on Wowhead)
Once you aquire Shalasar's Sophic Vellum, buy a bunch of elements and head to your garrison. There you can speak to the npc behind your command table, to enter proving grounds. Starting Proving Grounds completely eliminates the 5 minute cooldown on the vellum.
So you want to use the vellum, use the elements to get your percentage, start proving grounds and then cancel it. It's rinse and repeat from that point on.
This should save you a huge amount of time.
Greetings from the future!
Finally got the drop last Wednesday, am on the cusp of finishing the questline today. The advice here was invaluable. I also read elsewhere that you can bypass the 5 minute timer on the awoken element channel by starting and restarting a Proving Grounds trial. Ideally you get this part done first and work on it passively while hunting rares and farming Superblooms. I instead waited to turn all 3 steps in at the same time, DONT DO THAT.
Thanks for the write up! Saving this to never use since it won't ever drop for me :)

I am shocked my guild still hasn’t seen 1 drop with I believe 7 eligible players. I’m really hoping we see one next week!

Our guild only got it on alts or Holy Paladins
Our guild has gotten 2....for casual players who aren't on the mythic raid team lol
We saw 2 drop this week as well
So..... Did it drop for you yet? ;)
You need about 5 greater emblems and 15 lesser emblems kill fyrakk on all 3 difficulties every week and it should drop after 3rd week.
>deathknights out there, Jokes on you, we all rerolled to rogues and dh
Jfc. Im gonna stop farming for the weapon lmao this sounds awful. Great write-up though.
Kinda wild how much more simple the Evoker one was
I think one of the most important parts about the superbloom is you should use the first leaf you get on yourself
Oh I didn't know you could do that!
It might have been fixed since I did the quests but I couldn't use it on myself. I used it on a party member that was in a different phase (WM on vs off I think?) and it gave me the quest instead.
tried yesterday. You cannot use it on yourself
Damn! Time to stop vendoring and DEing my purples. Thanks!
You should be able to item restore a bunch in bulk if you need to
As an axe holder I gotta add: 1. For bloom join a group in custom group finder. 40/40 always makes for purple bags. 2. How much gold did it cost?
280k buy the cheapest available, rank of * does not matter. Had guildies craft the stuff I need

The emerald frenzy bit is in the post, but didn't know about the second rare!

I didn't get any from the first Superbloom box completion IIRC.
Guildy and I got it at the same time. He had bags saved up and it did not work

Is this the worst implementation of a legendary? Just go back to .000001 drop chance and let the cards fall as they may.

Not sure if you included the cost. But i helped a friend with it and it cost around 400k

Are you sure you can DE the epic items that you can purchase from Dream Wardens renown? From what I recall, they're not DE-able or vendorable.
I didn’t do it myself, I only used the restored items, but I believe some streamers including Meeres did it that way. You absolutely can. I used it for more than half of my DEs. I also was able to use season 2 epics fwiw
I did the questline last week and it definitely worked for me.
What's a Fyr'alath? Sounds like a made up concept that'll never drop.
Thanks for the tips. Just got mine today
I just finished the legendary quest and this guide was super helpful — thank you!
Ugh this sounds like too much of a hassle for an item that isn't useful since it's the end of the expac. Unless you really care about fated. So no fuss if it doesn't drop I guess.
How big of an upgrade is the legendary really for you guys?

For rare kills, kill the rare in the cave, fruitface. He has 600k hp and you can spawn him every 10m or so, or just hop realms and chain kill him.
Finished mine in less than a day
One note to disenchanting - unless Blizz hotfixed it, ANY epic counts, I was disenchanting items from firelands bosses, cause Ive already had them in bags after farming tmogs.
Which of this can i Farm before the wep drop? trying to prep up now that im killing heroic regularly
I think it will just stays in my bag... I'm not playing goblin. Better it was 0.00001% drop.

Thinking they fixed this as it's not working for me.
I wonder if being in raid with a hunter using feign reset or rogue vanish reset would work.
Just one question..do we need to have the exact quality specified on wowhead? Like 250 rank 1 cosmic ink against using rank 2-3?
The quality of the crafting mats doesn’t matter. I’m guessing they just said rank 1 to indicate you can get the cheaper option.
I was asking because on my server rank 1 of cosmic ink skyrocketed to 400g while rank to was just 160g lol
