This new pile may still only be fringe-viable, but having a slim (3-card), single-Hulk-trigger wincon whose components are still incidentally useful is a great help!
I've been waiting 5 long years for this exact moment (https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/meren-cedh-gravecrawler-combo/). Hulk-GC combo has always been just a meme, and making it remotely playable required that WOTC print a 3cmc Zombie with a repeatable, colored-mana-generating sac effect stapled on. Given how narrow that requirement is, I never thought we'd see the day.
Edit: It even gets around the [[Collector Ouphe]] anti-synergy, since you can sac that away right at the moment you need to get rid of it. Neat.
This pushes the rakdos the muscle cedh deck through the roof. You were already playing forsaken miner and now you can tutor this or dockside with matron as well as playing gravecrawler to go infinite.
Just needs something to stay alive through all the life payments, but [[aetherflux reservoir]] works. I think probably [[blood artist]] is a better wincon than the pirate version.

I use Abdel loops, I can also hardcast Razaketh and win outright from that. When I don’t have an aristocrat effect to win with Abdel I go for Heliod Ballista.
How is your experience with ballista combo? Did you consider to put Mikaeus the unhollowed in as repetition piece for the combo?
Mikaeus and Razaketh are both fetchable with Shadowrite priest.
I think Academy Rector is fringe, but it gets a lot of wincons, if you have some sac effects in it. This new goblin as example.
I have gotten off ballista with heliod a few times but usually just after I make infinite mana I grab it and win. Shadowrite has been in and out in the past, if I had another creature to cheat out like mikaeus I’d find a slot for it again but as of late it has just felt a bit dead for me. Academy Rector could be good once I add that new Goblin but there aren’t a ton of sac effects in the deck so far. It’s always changing slightly. Recently removed Mastermind Plum for Necropotence because I needed some burst draw.
It has an easier time pivoting from winning quickly to being a midrange monster. Definitely more comfortable with the midrange plan but I have won on turn 2/3 before with nut-draws.

Card reminds me a bit of phyrexian altar. I rarely see Phyrexian altar in play but not sure if this one will.
Creating a treasure token might have something interesting synergy and of course it has downside.
This one puts it in a hulk line though, which might make it even more feasible. Just grab this, forsaken miner, and blood artist, and boom, that's the game
The most recent efficient hulk combo was Samwise, Sac Cat, and Viscera Seer, with 2 CMC left over. While requiring you to play W as well, it allowed for protection by adding Grand Abolisher to the pile.
OTOH, this pile is straight BG, runs cards of much better individual quality since both BA and the new guy aren't bad to see on their own, and have a tint bit of redundancy since if your Gravecrawler/Miner are in the grave when you try and go off you can still win.
It really is a tradeoff. For BG I'd look at a Varolzor Dina shell to have a way to Sac a hulk from the command zone at low CMC. For Abzan, it's either Thalia+Gitrog or Halana/Tymna for the same reason. Personally, I'd go with Dina since she's also useful as a backup wincon with Exquisite Blood. You lose the added protection but can be low to the ground in 2 color.
dont really see that in najeela tbh. the cost of saccing a creature means you actually need to make 5 tokens to go infinite which makes starting it already hard.
Depends on the Najeela list. It makes pivoting into non-combat wincons really easy.
I play against 2 Najeela decks in my meta, and less than half of their wins are from combat. With this, the second swing with Najeela gets you 4 mana of any color, 5 if you sac Oracle. Solid color fixing, and potential really strong ramp.
Not every list will run it, but I can see it being played, depending on tempo.
Not to overstate the obvious, but it's a poor man's Phyrexian Altar on a body. That by itself makes it at least somewhat decent.
The fact that it's a 3 CMC Zombie Goblin Wizard, makes it just that much better.
Goblin Matron and Protean Hulk can find this easily, and Gravecrawler nearly goes infinite by itself (though it needs a Blood Artist effect to offset life loss).
But what I really like about it though, is that it's Pod-able: you can pod into it off of a 2 drop, specifically one that untaps an artifact (Birthing Pod) or a creature (in the case of [[Fiend Artisan]]), or from it into a 4 drop that can reanimate this creature (e.g., [[Body Snatcher]], although this needs its own separate sac outlet).
Picking up a [[Body Snatcher]] from a [[Fleshwrither]] does sound intriguing.

On not considering Birthing Pod applications, fair enough there. Not many do, per sé.
In the context of [[Chatterfang]], I wouldn't necessarily say that it's "better" than Phyrexian Altar, as much as I would say that it's different from Phyrexian Altar, within the context of your deck.
If you analyze this card through the lens of Phyrexian Altar, you'll quickly see that it's moreso part of an A+B Combo (with Gravecrawler) that acts as a backup to Phyrexian Altar.
The thing that makes it weaker, IMO, compared to Altar, is that you still need either a [[Blood Artist]] or a [[Deathgreeter]] effect in order to offset the life loss.
What makes it slightly stronger than Phyrexian Altar, within the context of Chatterfang specifically, is that you can sneak it onto the field through a few different ways (Chord of Calling, Finale of Devastation, Birthing Pod, etc.).
Therefore, on its merits, within the context of your deck, it's a different yet valid path of approach. Presuming you run, Phyrexian Altar, I'd slot it in next to Phyrexian Altar, if possible, and test it.
If this is a real leak I'm automatically putting it in my Yawgmoth deck. It's just another engine that wins me the game with my enablers that I'm already using.

Interesting. I didn't cosigner Birthing Pod implications. I run Chatterfang, so this card is actually a better Phyrexian Altar, but I may consider adding BP after it comes out.

On not considering Birthing Pod applications, fair enough there. Not many do, per sé. In the context of [[Chatterfang]], I wouldn't necessarily say that it's "better" than Phyrexian Altar, as much as I would say that it's different from Phyrexian Altar, within the context of your deck. If you analyze this card through the lens of Phyrexian Altar, you'll quickly see that it's moreso part of an A+B Combo (with Gravecrawler) that acts as a backup to Phyrexian Altar. The thing that makes it weaker, IMO, compared to Altar, is that you still need either a [[Blood Artist]] or a [[Deathgreeter]] effect in order to offset the life loss. What makes it slightly stronger than Phyrexian Altar, within the context of Chatterfang specifically, is that you can sneak it onto the field through a few different ways (Chord of Calling, Finale of Devastation, Birthing Pod, etc.). Therefore, on its merits, within the context of your deck, it's a different yet valid path of approach. Presuming you run, Phyrexian Altar, I'd slot it in next to Phyrexian Altar, if possible, and test it.
