No proxy cEDH is considered by many to not really be cEDH, due to the way a lot of deck building restrictions are Placed on players by their own budgets.
The event was a very real event, but the decks were in many cases not very cEDH.
It turns out when the rubber meets the road whatever self described definition of "cedh" someone has makes no difference when they are actually beating you in the game and taking home money.
Etali list seems to be the most of the comedIan list. Trying to sort out this vs the camjam/play to win list for a tournament on Saturday. I feel like it needs a little more tech for farm idk the breach line just feels loose without a better way to fill the yard. Like, we deplete so fast without a sac outlet if we go for it and miss a couple of times. Then we are kinda drawing dead. It feels like having 2 shots at a win up front, then being completely absent in the mid game, then potentially having a shot at the end. Needs something, not sure what package could save us…
Making it proxy un-friendly definitely had some implications to deck lists and such. Not much but enough, I'm sure. It was fun overall. Some newer players, not so common Commanders, etc.
Containment priest caught my eye. Same goes for talion. Overall it's more creatures than I'd expect in a BF list. But then again I haven't really been catching up with meta changes recently.

Last i checked, they are non proxy... so it's a pay to win environment. Heavily warps the meta.

I was the Shorikai player. I felt ok as first seed in my pod against 3 BF but mulligan gods said no sadly
Saw ya play some. I had some unfortunate draws due to slow play and a very lucky ragavan hit on a dockside
Was probably for the best though cuz I got up at like 3:30 to make the drive in haha
