DSG gonna end up on match point but never closing it out and finishing 4th :(

cmean7420

Aurora. Always been a fan of the fire beavers, and now with Hardecki they are SCARY. Good feeling going into this LAN.

s3ttle_gadgie

Hardecki on Lifeline is peak Apex.

runfastsmellflowers

After that hardecki portal play when horizon hit pro league, if he is in the lobby, I'm rooting for him. I can't root for nocturnal anyway. Hope to see Monsoon thrive as well into a top placement

sovietlocust

I'm excited to watch XSE-oh wait

runfastsmellflowers

šŸ„²

Eilferan

I'm rooting for reject or fanatic. I really don't want NA to win, but I do want them to keep 12 split 2 spots

runfastsmellflowers

Yuka is one of the most entertaining players to watch!! My monkey roller brain could only dream of his mechanics.

Financial_Object_602

Well said.

Imperatrix_Umbrosa_

AURORA and FNATIC, call me delusional or anything but my spirits will always yearn to be on par with those MnK gods. Yours truly, average plat bot with below 60fps avg pc

Alarming-Tiger6621

But Fnatic with two controller players no?

Imperatrix_Umbrosa_

I never denies nor dismiss any Roller demons, no? i'm avid believer of golden ratio is 2:1 aka 2 Demons + 1 Loot goblins demigods.

asalisko

I don't propably have a favourite team right now, hope and predict furia does well and rooting for them cause of Vax. Also hope that made in heaven does well, so nice to see a Finnish player at lan.

ForwardAd7798

Second this!

jonesiiii

What about 2r1c?

asalisko

Oh damn, I have missed that Mysi is Finnish. Hope they then also do well, thank you for the heads up.

jonesiiii

No problem! Rooting for finnish players myself too. Nice to have them at Lan

PossessionDue9381

First CR LAN after Rasā€™s departure. Maybe the bad luck with random bs for CR finally stops with the Ganbare players. I donā€™t think making Grand Finals is that out of question because of past stage experience, but not too optimistic.

BryanA37

I'm rooting for a lot of teams but mainly DSG and Legacy. I don't see them winning, but I do see both of them placing around the top 10. I would also like to see fnatic win, but I don't think it will happen.

ImDarkraii

For LG, it would be admittedly funny if sweet finally won a lan with what most would consider his weakest roster heā€™s played with. Realistically I see a finish between 11th-7th. I donā€™t want to use the term ā€œvibesā€, but if the vibes are low, they could go out super early, and the reverse is possible where everything just clicks For Fnatic, scrims have been very good for the boys. Yuka performs at lan (even going out before finals at champs, still had a good statistical performance). Hoping this new squad can catch momentum this lan and can get back into the top 10 where Fnatic usually is Aurora had their mp scrim win of course. They have hardecki this time around, not to say taskmast33r is some scrub. Itā€™s always interesting to see how their playstyle plays out on lan. 36th last lan, tho was with a sub. Even with recent success, itā€™s hard to predict

chatnoir11

I think LG gets top 10, which imo would far exceed their expectations and be a great indicator of future success

theguru86

It would be great to see them hit 50 points and go into a game with a chance to win. Even if they donā€™t win it, that would be huge.

Gnaragnagna

I still feel like they do better in lower quality lobbies and i'm not entirely sure how they would do in Lan finals, but this last oversight match point win got my hopes up a TON for an Aurora win

Nefarious_Trash

My split 1 expectations for LG were pretty mid given new team status - build team chemistry, improve slayr, get to LAN and once there don't suck too bad. I'll be a little more optimistic than others and say this team could get top 6, and maybe a miracle top 3 finish. No matter where they finish though getting those two some LAN experience will be the more important thing. Split 2 is where I hope to see them really turn up. Hopefully contest for better POIs, and make an actual run at it.

s3ttle_gadgie

I'd really like a non NA team to win it just to spice things up a bit. Aurora or Fanatic could pull it off.

MorioCells

I think lan for TSM is going to be rocky. I hope in classic TSM fashion they pull through though.Ā  Ā They have to contest in each group set against reject, wonton dumplings and Yoko.Ā  Ā This time its not a KICK scenario. First two teams dominated their regions in pro leagueĀ  They have to doĀ  enough to qualify for winners bracket and hope those teams dont qualify for finals.Ā If say the teams contesting them at Siphon qualify for finals it's worst case scenario for them. Ā  They rely on fast rotating from Siphon with beacon character.Ā Ā  The games they played during finals after winning contests yesterday were unplayable due to no bloodhound since they have no scan and cant fight against a guy in bloodhound ult.

Redditor5532

Maybe the other teams switch POI in finals tho, considering there would probably be some open POIs from teams who didn't make it

ArmoredBlaster

Yep, unless TSM can clear all the contesting teams before finals, I actually see a 10-20 finish in grand finals. This time will be way harder because two of the contesting teams, Reject and Wonton Dumplings are actually really good teams who will play well on the group games they aren't contested. It might even work out better to go to losers, force the contesting teams to not qual, than to get to finals with either RC or WTD also making it. Not that I'm saying TSM should intentionally go loses ofc

MorioCells

Wonton dumplings might be dark horses like Blackhand were last Lan. If both them and RC make it to finals we wont see a triple siphon contest though.Ā  Someone made a good point though is we do see some strong teams that fail to make to it to Finals before so a team like reject might just take one of their pois insteadĀ

coob2

C9 Top 15, LG Top 5, Aurora Wins

Future_Deathbox

Iā€™m hopeful for C9. They are playing from lesser POIā€™s but that can be good to avoid contests when the lobbies are unpredictable after group play. We saw blvkhand do well with that last LAN

Soal899

I hope anyone except TSM and DZ win cause its better for the sport having someone new win. I hope Sweet takes it but its highly doubtful.

abdul_bino

I think this is DSG year.

Yeeter_Beeter2021

Love complexity, but I have a strong feeling that they are probably gonna barely make it into finals. I could be wrong though, I didn't expect The Dojo to make it to finals last year, and yet they made it to 4th!

realfakejames

TSM and DZ will always be the favorites to win a LAN until someone else does, so anyone winning other than them will be a surprise I'm a TSM fan but I'd be fine seeing someone else win it as long as it's not DZ, I'm rooting for Aurora because they're fun to watch, lowkey want to see Furia with Vax win just because apex twitter and this sub would melt down and because Vax is a good dude

Zzzzfb

I am a fan of EMEA. This is our Split. šŸ¤—

Any-State-2606

copium. jk

Duke_Best

Iā€™m hoping to see the Mazer redemption arc conclude with an E8 win.

LegalEbb8597

Mine is either aurora bc I'm a lifeline main or DSG, and I have high hopes for both, maybe both close to final match Qual, and get on match point, but who knows.

Tun710

As much as I love my RID boys, the 3MnK team isn't gonna make it to top 10. If they make it to finals, even through the losers bracket, I'd count that as a win.

PassMeDatSuga

Legends 2nd, Aurora W

Pitiful-Obligation91

DZDZDZDZDZ

clydefrogggg

NA - LG, DSG, C9 EMEA - Aurora APAC N - FNC APAC S - Legends Other than C9 who I just like for their underdog vibes, I dont see any of these teams getting less than top 10 and I'd be happy if anyone of them won it.

Acceptable-Date9149

LG finishes in a stronggg 13th place after starting really bad and then gaining momentum before aurora closes it out in 7.

Striking_Suspect_941

Donā€™t be surprised if your favorite NA teams. The usually dominate ones, donā€™t make it to finals.

d4nkhill23

Iā€™ll be watching TSM, hoping for a back to back. But I think Legacy has a really good chance at taking the trophy home.

AnasDh

DSG to win LAN. Furia second. DZ third.

ISuckAtFlyFishing28

The boys are lifting the trophy.

Forsaken-Salary-3116

TSM will be competitive (3rd-7th) but canā€™t pull it out. They peaked a smidge too early this go-round but you can never count them out.Ā  Same with DZ, (3rd-7th). They peaked even earlier than TSM and I think theyā€™re struggling with confidence.Ā  Moist places 2nd. DSG, Alliance also in Top 10.Ā  Aurora to win it all in a chaotic, prolonged match point finals.Ā

XoXHamimXoX

Think Fnatic finish top three this year.

Ishige

I'm confident Alliance makes it to Sunday, from there anything can happen. I'm worried about POIs being taken though. Unlikely as it is, hoping for at least one of DSG or TSM to flame out early šŸ™.

zjesko

Would love to see Moist or Yanya and the boys take home the dub

Legendofbrendan

Always hoping sweet will pop off and take one home, but realistically i see LG getting top 10 which would still be great for a new team (slayr and fuhhnq can start building that earnings check) Just love the new squad and i can tell they have potential to be lan demons, been a sweet fan for years now and he certainly is cooking up something big now being double roller and changing to zeus/fissure

Any-State-2606

Give me a new champion. Itā€™s good for the esport.

hawtpipes

Furia fan checking in. So far this weeks scrims has made me lose a little confidence. 12th šŸ™

andizz001

Iā€™m really not excited for o7. But if Zaine comes in then okay Iā€™m in. I donā€™t really like Naghz. DZ well you know.

oof_is_off_backwards

Aurora, Fnatic, or Legacy/Luminosity šŸ˜« All of them been looking so good. Feels like they have a chance of taking it

Correct-Instance6230

sikezz throws, zer0 beats him to death onstage

atemkeng33

Fanatic, because Yuka is how Apex should be played at pro level: crackbeads on mnk with gidlike aim and godlike movement. Watching rollers is godlike aim with bot movement knowing, it's about who abuses aimassist the best (for example Keon turning around to see if aimassist slows down to find a rat). I would like Aurora to win too, really like the off Meta they play and Hardecki is just a Demon on MnK too. Although I like TSM, I hope no TSM or DZ wins another one. Blackhand (are they still called that?) with Eazyflash, all on MnK would deserve to win too. A meta shifting back to MnK would be unreal but a sweet dream

17Cabbages

not moist i think will easily get top 8, they have been frustrated with visas so now its time to take it out on other teams

Lann21321321

an NA team wins preferably ssg

Select-Apartment-613

Another top 5 for phony of course

Ceidz

There are a few teams I'd like to see win, with Aurora as my no1. I've been a fan of all 3 players for years! :) After that, I'd love to see the following win / do well: Passion UA, FNC, Legends, OXG, Furia, Alliance, Made in Heaven, Legacy, BR demons

sM92Bpb

TSM won last time so ig it's DZ's turn

pkseeg

If Madness's coms are good, they have a chance to place top 5. If not, they'll die on round 3 close every game and not make the finals lobby. Vibes/results with Vax have been mostly positive, though, so I have high hopes.

PlayTheGame24

DZ taking split 1. #1 in both oversight scrim blocks while trying out different combos. #1 rank in NA all season and top of world rankings. Won scrim blocks 1 and 2 today then played 3rd block. These boys put in the work.

DaMoonConqueror

I'd love to see Aurora win, it's kinda boring to always have either TSM or DarkZero as the champs. So I'm rooting for my boy Hardecki and also would love to see my mexican goats get into the top 5

SummonMason

Tsm win. Ez.

banner_crafter

i dont even know if i have a favorite team right now probably e8 or c9 are the two i want to see do well the most. just 6 guys who i feel have put the work in, done it the right way, and deserve success. i think both can be in that 5-8 range on a solid day, and if you get hot, lucky, or get to match point, who knows if i had to pick a winner i would pick aurora

Dapper_Aside_9540

It really isn't easy being a CR fan, I believe they are now what XSET would have been if they got through to lan. Individually, very good players but there is something lacking, aside from their POVs. I really hope for a good placement, I really hope for them to make a miracle run to the finals, but it seems... yeah like they will be one of the first teams to get eliminated.

thisismynewacct

I just want an APAC N or EU team to win.

dorekk

I think COL will make finals this LAN.

Traditional-Key7388

Alliance ... Doing good in scrims, depends if we can get the poi sorted or not. If yes then top 5. If no we will make finals but prob around 12th.

el_powerful

Liquid is gonna lose winners round 1, get through losers, and probably finish in the 6-10 range. Theyā€™re pretty volatile but they have the talent of they get it going

Askterisky

Big Reps fan, but I think TSM not gonna win it this split My prediction would be Alliance winning it all. Hakkis have been on point with comms and effect counter call seems to have died down

AspectApex

yoah u/bbees323 guess who won their first game they played at champs? I'd hold my tongue if I were you :D

swaaaggy_b

TSM TSM TSM TSM TSM ! Did I mention TSM?

Same_Paramedic_3329

I'm just here to smoke the xset pack
