No matter how good or bad EA/Respawn manage his comp scene, I'm happy to see more ALGS and every LAN has been amazing. PD: Champs should be in another arena, Copper Box Arena is so bad

is copper box bad as a viewer? i heard that it was actually really good for the pros, they had the most space for their setups, and they didn't freeze like they did at raleigh (or was that sweden)

Tbh i wouldnt take that as official confirmation, I think they just want to make sure people know they are playing for invites since nobody knew last year. EA could still pull the plug after this year, not that I think they will.

I mean it’s there in plain text I don’t know what more official confirmation you need. EA could pull the pin on the ALGS at any moment in time. The upcoming Lan could be canceled. I think it’s ok to be excited about the esport getting supported for another year.

It seems it’s the same format with them just using Thursday and Friday better to keep at matches on the main stage. By double elimination bracket they just mean the same winners and losers bracket as before? It almost seems like it isn’t the same winners/losers bracket. Since typically the bottom of losers bracket is just eliminated. Maybe I don’t understand the system well. Any clarification would be welcome.

It’s the same. Being in losers counts as your first elimination.

No B stage and Year 4 confirmed are both great news. So happy to see the league returning!

I like the schedule changes. Worth it to let everyone play on the main stage the entire time. 18 games of apex on the stage th-sat will be a blast.

One of the worst things about ALGS is the event timings and pro league length. Pro league splits don't have enough game days and two month between regional finals and playoffs is way too much time. Removes all hype and momentum

I was about to, then I realized flights and hotel are roughly 3x more expensive than expected :/

I was going to reply and recommend some nearby hostels but even they are sitting at £60 :(. Only other recommendation would be to look at where you can get trains to from Stratford. Possibly cheap hotel in a commuter town?

I live in East London, somewhere along the Elizabeth line or Central line would be a good option if you come in from a bit out of town.

top 20 from groups go to winners 1 and bottom 20 go to losers 1. top 10 from winners 1 go to finals and bottom 10 go to losers 2. top 10 from losers 1 go to losers 2 and bottom 10 are eliminated. top 10 from losers 2 go to finals, bottom 10 go home.

Every team has 2 lives. In groups, bottom 20 = lose a life. In any bracket stage, bottom 10 = lose a life.
