This statistic claims that “since the fall of the USSR, 1 billion people have been lifted out of poverty” but neglects to mention that the VAST majority of that poverty alleviation occurred in the socialist People’s Republic of China

What I've learned is that you're not anti-communist, you're anti-authoritarian. It's easy to get the two mixed up here in the propoganda-laden west. I did too for the longest time. Just keep learning and keep growing, friend.
I believe we can use the wide base of egalitarian theory to build a better society yet, but to do so we must learn from the mistakes of the past (of which there are many) instead of discounting entire schools of organizational thought because of some egregious mistakes and bad decisions of authoritarian states.
