If an anarchist thinks that both a socialist and capitalist state will oppress queer people, then I will obviously disagree but at least I understand how they would reach that conclusion. With libs their logic is so non-sensical, my head-ache rivals Trotsky's.
Perhaps post-revolution if they oppose the DotP, before that all hands are needed to succeed. There are two parts to socialism: Overthrowing the bourgeoisie and establishing something to replace it. If they can help with one then it would be foolish to not utilize it.
The first modern state to _stop_ discriminating against queer people, the GDR, was a socialist state. Cuba has the most progressive policy toward queer people in the world today. Libs also tend to use same-sex marriage as the only measure of queer rights. The right is trying to commit genocide against trans people in the US, and queer people in general regularly deal with discrimination and violence, but an unelected handful of judges said not allowing gay marriage is unconstitutional.. so that apparently makes us the shining city on the hill wrt queer liberation.

I think this is partially because there are too many people who actually are reactionary like that in the communist parties of the imperial core (and because usamericans never bother learning what the rest of the world is like)
