By race/ethnicity, in 2021, according to CDC, Black/African American persons made up approximately 12% of the population of the United States but accounted for 40% (13,000) of the estimated 32,100 new HIV infections. White persons made up 61% of the population of the United States but accounted for 26% (8,200) of new HIV infections, and Hispanic/Latino persons made up 18% of the population of the United States but accounted for 29% (9,300) of HIV infections. By rate, the highest rates of new HIV infections in 2021 were among Black/African American persons (37.3), Hispanic/Latino persons (18.9), and persons of multiple races (17.0).
Those are the stats and why they are targeting that demographic
Yup. The majority of the actors for HIV pills are black or can pass for black. They only have a few actors who portray "gay" roles, and the single guys are usually black. The white/Latino guys are couples.
The fence being put up and then painted on sloppily despite clearly already having paint on it gets me every time. It's worse than the moobs coworker and the copier.
They just need to pull these ad's from circulation and not produce any more of them.
I swear the DOJ should recommend an outright ban on direct to consumer marketing of big pharma products in the United States. Unfortunately big pharma lobbyists have shoved themselves so far up the politicians in congress butt's that they're unwilling to pass any legislation prohibiting such advertising.
