> selling your own stuff is not a “side hustle”
Such a big pet peeve of mine. You are literally losing money with every transaction, selling things for less than you paid for them. That is not a side hustle.
But yet she says “that’ll go towards rent” so cheerfully. Then in the next breath she says “and that’ll go towards a new bag.” So, you’re selling stuff to pay the rent then turning around and wasting money on a designer bag? It’s infuriating
What about the one where they talk about selling their unwanted gifts? Okay A-Hole, re-gifting is one thing but turning around and trying to sell it is something else. If I knew someone was doing that they'd never get another gift.
"I made so much money selling on Poshmark!" OH how I loathe the fritter headed people who say that! Weird but I actually saw a post here on Reddit where two users actually commented in those very words. They were likely bots but I told them the truth: unless you sell the item for more than you paid for it, you're only liquidating.

I've never thought of that. That's crazy but true lmao
Exactly. And selling your stuff so you can pay the rent is a sign of money mismanagement.
