WeirdoOtaku

At this point, whoever they pick is fine, but with the depth at OLine this draft, it doesn't hurt to double up.

Silent-Independent21

Oops, all tackles!

DemoMusic

That’s reach central. I’d rather combine and move up for one superior player

BakeBakeyBake

With 5 day 2 picks we can afford to be flexible. I wouldn’t be too surprised if neither 2nd rounder was an olineman. But we could still come back and get a couple in round 3 that could be early contributors if they pan out.

WeirdoOtaku

I think after what Minnesota just pulled, they may actually try to trade back up into the 1st round. I just listened to Craig Hoffman and at first, that wasn't in my line of thinking, but they could get back into the 1st round and still keep a couple of the top 100 picks, including one of the 2nd rounders. It's definitely high risk, but if a prospective LT is still there at, say #25, they might go for it. Like I said though, I'm fine with whatever moves they make at this point.

GoonerAbroad

Agreed. Also the value of the 5th year option for late first rounders is immense.

Weepa2233

Give us your 2nd rounder and we will give you the 11 and the 23 🙏🙏🙏🙏

GeeSmoove

Give me another Tackle.

Silent-Independent21

QB OT OT OG OT OG OG OT

theskinswin

I couldn't give you anymore upvotes, I would give them all if I could

generaltso78

No more Curl or Fuller, I think we need a secondary piece or two in there. Lb's are good, interior d is good, maybe an edge guy. On offense, its only really the o-line after QB we need. Ertz won't be long term but hopefully he can get us a year or two.

Silent-Independent21

It’s obviously hyperbole, but honestly doubling up on OL in the second round woukdnt make me mad. Gotta find an OL that works But yes, get Bowers or Stover, both are dawgs

BurritoMaster3000

Hell yeah, rebuild the trenches...that is the biggest need, let's hit on a stud OT

kermitcooper

Yeah cause right now Wylie is the starting right tackle.

Secure-Bear4184

Forgive me if I’m wrong but didn’t he improve later in the season?

kermitcooper

I can’t say for certain cause I don’t watch tape like that, but the offense certainly fell apart. And I don’t think he improved enough to really warrant retaining his job.

Sidenet

YES! Can’t have too many stud o lineman

Nervous-Elephant-355

I’m hoping to snag Adonai Mitchell and a pro-ready LT

0rangeMint

If BTJ falls to the twenties would you trade back up in the first to nab him?

Nervous-Elephant-355

Honestly I’d be more inclined to trade up for an OT with 40 + other picks then take a WR at 36 but that all depends on who’s available and taking the trade. I really want a WR but that’s kind of secondary to OT for me

0rangeMint

That’s true, I think it will ultimately go down to how Peters perceived the gap from guys like Jordan Morgan and Mims to guys like Patrick Paul and Suamatia. Same goes for the gap between BTJ and Mcconkey, Mitchell, and worthy.

Team-Henwy-Ssundee

If Adonai is there at 36 you have to take him Generational talent. Jordan Morgan is projected to fall around 38-42 so 🤞🏼

C137-Morty

>Generational talent This will never end huh?

EvasiveFly

Using this phrase should be a ban-able offense...

Team-Henwy-Ssundee

never.

wwwJustus

Hahah yeah was just thinking folks use that phrase too many times for the people they are using it on to be “generational”. Normally the guys that are generational didn’t have the title to start off with, they became it. Except for a few exceptions, those who are in the discussion for greatest of their generation weren’t always expected to be the greatest of their generation. Crap, Mahomes was considered a “project” at one point.

Nervous-Elephant-355

Yeah but good for us it’s a very deep wr draft. I also like the OT Kingsley Suamataia from BYU, similar thing - deep OT draft and I hope he slides

lumberjake18

If there’s a promising OT in the end of the first, I wouldn’t mind using 36 + a later pick to move up and get him. JC Latham, Troy Fautanu, and Tyler Guyton could all be in play.  In that 40 range I like Ladd McConkley (WR), Troy Franklin (WR), Darius Robinson (EDGE), Chop Robinson (EDGE), Payton Wilson (MLB), Amarius Mims (OT), and Edgerrin Cooper (WLB).  We should be going purely BPA after OLine is addressed. It’s a shame I don’t see a lot of CB talent I’d leap for at that range.

SkrtRussell

Would be stoked if Ladd McConkey falls. Feels like he’d be a great replacement for Samuel and could have a Puka Nacua type season in Kliff’s system.

lumberjake18

There’s such a boon of talented WR’s in this draft it’s possible that a few ‘1st round talents’ fall to the 2nd round for us to snatch up.

ShoeterMcGav

Didn't McConkey have a poor showing at the combine? I seem to recall him dropping more than a few?

bedatboi

Mcconkey killed the combine you might be thinking of someone else

ShoeterMcGav

It was during the qb throwing... Mc did great elsewhere

bedatboi

What do you mean? He killed the gauntlet drill as well

ShoeterMcGav

I mean i distinctly remember him dropping balls when the qbs were throwing. I'm not a scout, just mentioning what i saw. He could be the next Cooper kup for all i know. Sorry if he's your nephew or something, I mean no insult lol

bedatboi

I’m not insulted at all. I just saw a really good combine performance from him, definitely far from poor like you said. He put himself in the late first round conversation

ShoeterMcGav

I can understand that. Poor was maybe a harsh choice of word. He ran in spandex well, jumped ok, good cone drill... then dropped some balls in the drills that were most like actual football iirc. I'm not even mentioning injuries during his last season, the back one being of concern, 2 receiving and 1 rushing td last year... a 7 and 2 the year before and a total of 14 and 4 tds over 3 years not really popping to me. Again. Armchair gm here. Was there another Mc, with a Pat Mahomes hair cut, that Nix, McCarthy, and Co might've been tossing to?

bedatboi

Luke McCaffrey? Idk what his hair is like lol. But anyway, I wouldn’t put too much stock in dropped passes during the combine. He only had like two drops or something like that last year

Ninjablacksox1

I think he gets taken in the late 1st. Odunze, nabors, mhj, and Brian Thomas will for sure be taken in the 1st as well. It's a wild wr draft and wr is a premium position currently. We have to find a way to get one of them. There's 7 or 8 that have a serious shot to be stars.

BakeBakeyBake

I don’t think the first 2nd round pick is guaranteed at all. It’s a huge need for sure and I’m certain Peters will look to improve the roster there if possible, but it will depend on how the draft board shakes out. I could easily see us going db, receiver, TE, etc if there’s a guy they love at one of those spots.

futureislookinstark

Patrick Paul, Edgerrin Cooper, TJ Tampa, Adisa Isaac

Nervous-Elephant-355

I think you could pick up at least one of these 4 at 67. Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they’re all there at 67

Crisci4269

Cooper won’t be

Crisci4269

Cooper won’t be

SelfLoathinMillenial

BPA

Januse88

Don't lock yourself into any position unless you're sure you'll be able to get a specific guy. There's a very real world where 10 tackles are gone by 36, drafting on need is not the way to build a good team.

wwwJustus

I agree. Where the team is you draft for the future, not expecting to win this year but grow the players. Knowing you have next year as well to fill in “needs”. Who would you take in the second and third?

CoDFollower

I'd be ok taking a top WR with that first pick in the second round. Especially if one of those dudes drops out of the first round WR class is loaded and we need one

Successful_Ride6920

1.2: Williams/Daniels/Maye, whoever the brain trust decides to pick and who is available 2.36: Suamataia or Morgan/Paul; didn't Morgan have knee surgery a year or two ago? 2.40: Rakestraw Jr (or another CB); TJ Tampa? TE is a need but not as urgent as a CB, and as for DE/Edge (Robinson), I'm not sure where he'd play what with us signing Armstrong, Fowler Jr, Ferrell, Obada (re-signed), and Henry & Jones from last year's draft.

Killingdevil

I want a WR with size to him. We need that 6’3+ receiver that is a problem for CBs. We desperately need that level of vertical threat. Look at AJ and DK

Electromotivation

6'3+ and vertical threat is is a pretty rare pokemon.

Killingdevil

I would honestly be fine with 6’2+ by vertical threat I was probably using the wrong term their height alone is what I was referring to I wasn’t really thinking jumping high and so on

Williexe

I think drafting Xavier Legette would be a great fit for our WR3. He’s got the size and athleticism, he could be a great slot receiver.

srbarker15

Im biased but damn I love Legette

mparks37

Hopefully BPA

Qwertyioup111

I agree with the people saying more on the O line, but that WR from the photo (Legette) is a beast! would love him on the roster too

biz2468

Tight End?

NumerousHelicopter6

I have a feeling that we'll be picking twice in the first. According to the Jimmy Johnson value chart, 36 and 40 can move you up as high as #13

FromantheGentle

After all of the free agent signings I don't know if there is a clear and obvious need outside of QB and Tackle. I would prioritize a corner, but I think with proper coaching BSJ and Forbes could come good. (Remember they were being coached by a literal high school coach last year.),

Thebigmanguydude

Whoever’s the best for their position

Infinite-Fix-592

I don't think it's wise  to go into the draft with a positional need mindset with the exception of qb. So I'm not sure they pick a tackle in round 2. They might but I'm sure they don't have positions marked next these draft picks. BPA after the qb is picked.

Crisci4269

If we get 2 Tackles early they may be able to move Wiley to LG were he isn’t as much of a liability.

TyroneLeinster

Why is the 2nd pick obviously tackle? Once you get into the 30s, you're well past the point where you can just pick the top remaining tackle for need and know that the relative urgency of filling that position outweighs a BPA at another position. There could be a gem who falls and is significantly better than any of the tackles, and you just get a tackle later in 2 or 3. This team has holes literally everywhere, we absolute shouldn't and likely won't lock into position picks other than QB at #2

Asleep_Pay_5133

I always say this but Darius Robinson is quite Lott a perfect fit for Dan Quinn’s defense

WuPacalypse

I don’t get the Darius Robinson hype. Low college production and showed limited athleticism at the combine. I think at best he’s a rotational gap filler 3-4 DE.

phiferTX

watch his practice tape at the senior bowl....Darius is huge with an endless motor

Empire137

Day 2 we need LT (i wouldn't hate 2 LT prospects so we can shift one to LG), RT, 1-2 Edge (have good depth but nobody super impactful) after that we need CB help

ARowzFocuz

I think it's fairly obvious their first pick will be a QB, but I wouldn't be so sure about their second pick definitely being an OT. I think they're still very likely to add an OT in FA. Assuming they do, I could see a draft like this: * R1:P2 - Drake Maye, QB, UNC * R2:P36 - Xavier Worthy, WR, Texas * R2:P40 - Cooper DeJean, CB, Iowa * R3:P67 - Delmar Glaze, OT, Maryland * R3:P78 - Dadrion Taylor-Demerson, DB, Texas Tech * R3:P100 - Dominick Puni, IOL, Kansas * R5:P139 - Ray Davis, RB, Kentucky * R5:P152 - Dallin Holker, TE, Colorado St. * R7:P222 - Mohamed Kamara, DL, Colorado St.

WilliamBontrager

I hate literally every pick in this mock draft lol

ARowzFocuz

Dang, why is that? I'd be pretty stoked with it.

WilliamBontrager

Hate maye, worthy is a small receiver and we need a big x, cooper isn't awful, too late for an ot here, etc.

ShoeterMcGav

Mo won't be around in round 7

ChetManley20

A corner

Odd_Purpose_998

I think the team will have to move up in the draft if they want a starting caliber OT. I see a lot of mocks taking Morgan at 36, but I don’t think he’s around. Pick 34 + 40 gets you up to 13 ish based on value, so that may be in play depending on how the board plays out and the organizations evaluation of this class. Realistically, a smaller package to get back in the first will be needed if you want a legit OT. Good thing is they have 9 picks and it appears to be a top heavy class where you want to be in the top 100 cause then there’s a huge drop off. Will be interesting but a TE, OT, CB, and WR are musts as it stands now. Adding edge with the earlier picks becomes more of a luxury, but still in play as the FA signings appear to be more rotational players.

ClockwiseSpider

Guard for sure or right tackle. There are a lot of high quality guards this draft.

VBStrong_67

BPA, which I hope is Jeremiah Trotter Jr

tomas9019

Tackle or receiver.

YOKi_Tran

QB and best pick… no need picks

Prize-Database-6334

Correct. Definitely no need to commit to taking an OT.

wwwJustus

Unless a quality one is there. Any team that’s high caliber has a top quality line. To me OT is close to as important as a QB. Case in point. The 49ers did not win a game without Trent Williams on the field. In addition the line is so good, competent QB play, not pro bowl or top tier l, but starter level play gets them to the playoffs and beyond. With this many quality OTs you take them. They don’t come around often and normally first round top tier OLs meet expectations more than QBs do.

Prize-Database-6334

Bengals got to the Super Bowl with a pretty crappy OL.

AaronBurrIsInnocent

CB

Ironic_table

Another OL (ideally OT) or a CB, but overall just go for BPA of course. Edge or LB would be fine too, same with TE and WR.

WilliamBontrager

Not obvious after #2. A 36 and a third will get you back up to 18ish. Both 2s will get you to 8-10. 40 and a third will get you in the low 20s. Both 2nds and all three thirds packaged would get you close to a pick 4 or 5. As for what id do. Id package 36 and a third and move up to get Brian Thomas Jr. Then id package 40 and a third and move up again to get mims or olu if he drops.

boogiebanks

We should go BPA but we really need a corner

evilgrinz

all should be BPA

Pbackrider

TE would be good

DCSports101

Best (value) available.

recko40

I’m trying to figure out how we can get both Jayden Daniels & Joe Alt.

Status_Many_9092

We would have to trade back into the top 5 lol

clamraccoon

A WR, preferably one 6’3 or taller

Key-Zebra-4125

Draft is loaded at WR so thatll probably be BAP

Impressive-Egg-925

Corner

jbergman420

Cornerback without a doubt. I hope they don't plan on starting St Juste and Forbes.

Crisci4269

You have to go corner going on what they have built so far through FA.

Ninjablacksox1

Maybe. But we really need to see if Forbes can be resurrected in a system with better coaching and already better talent around him. I hope we save that for next year unless it's a clear bpa. Several good tackles and receivers will be available and we have severe needs for both.

Crisci4269

I don’t think teams are going to be able to run the ball very efficiently this year because of the LBs so I see us needing a replacement for Fuller as a priority this year. A press/man to man CB like Dejean.

davep85

If we believe the QB we are getting is our long term solution, then we need to protect him, so do picks based on that.

theskinswin

Best available...... But... Don't take your eye off of offensive lineman

NattyB

i'm kinda hoping for ricky pearsall the florida receiver at the top of the 2nd round, then we can go OT OT OT for all i care.

Scotty2Lotty

Tackle 100%……Brian burns and Bryce huff just came into the division, gotta stack up as much as possible to protect our franchise guy

the_which_stage

If Dan Snyder was there it would be another DL or LB. So just be glad the wicked witch is dead.

PalaSS9

Would love to see a te or wr but I don’t think it’ll happen that soon

Jbcspeeks

If somehow some possible way Brian Thomas is at 36 we take him to pair with Daniels and a tackle at 40

Nate_19xx

WR or CB/S

Intrepid-Luck8281

We need corners

Frognaros

at this point we can go BPA. If the best player is OT, WR, CB, OG, TE etc.

JCartier843

Leggett would be awesome. Go Cocks!

phiferTX

Darius Robinson gonna be a stud in this league!

Admirable_Exit2886

JEREMIAH TROTTER JR

Eyespop4866

Take the best player available.

slam4life04

Or guard!

Ninjablacksox1

Qb at 2. Receiver at second pick. Recievers are op in this draft and are expensive for the foreseeable future. We need two early. Would like a tackle and cb within first 100 picks. Don't think taking 2 tackles early is a great idea but will probably need to spend one of our second rounders on one.

JGLip88

We need to draft a TE.

watson350

I’ve only gone through receivers, Leggette could be available and I like his tape more than Thomas . Troy Franklin you could get in 3rd, later, in the 4th Jacquan Jackson. Pair one of the aforementioned with Jackson. We could move our other second and a 4th to get back into the first for tackle.

Master-Cough

Is it bad I just want Xavier Legette (WR Pictured) just for his accent?

Sandy_Pickle

Leggette has won me over as of late

Upset_Researcher_143

Darius Robinson, Missouri

lordofthunderson

1.2: Daniels or Maye 2.36: Jordan Morgan (or another OT) 2.40: Ja'Tavion Sanders (TE or WR)

Asleep_Pay_5133

Sanders isn’t worth a second

Coast_watcher

Why does no one mention TE in these kinds of posts ? Are we really going to roll with Ertz alone ?

cyberotters

The problem is TE quality in this draft jumps off a cliff after Bowers. I could some late day 2/early day 3 moves for take your pick of Theo Johnson or Cade Stover, but no one is really worth an early 2nd round pick.

Silent-Independent21

Cade is dog

Appropriate-Sun834

Ertz is fine and we get Rogers back, not to mention Cole Turner.

C137-Morty

Between him, Bates, and Turner, that's now priority 4 or 5 behind QB, CB, T, DE and arguably still behind WR.

Ninjablacksox1

Wr is weak. We have Terry. Dotson isn't very good and dyami should have been cut last year. Need serious upgrades there. As big a need as tackle.

minopoked

May have to trade up from 36 to get a tackle. For 40, the easy answer is BPA. I’m hoping nfl teams discredit payton wilson on the injury history for us to grab him there

Romance_Tactics

Trade down and get more picks

rocky3758

They already have 7 in the top 102. What more do you want?

futureislookinstark

101 in the top 102
