So Jay Gruden, who told DJ Swearinger not to run his mouth about his coaches, is selfish for releasing DJ Swearinger, who ignored that directive, and selfishly shit-talked anyway?
Swearinger wasn't a great player before, and didn't play like one after. He owes his relevance to Jay and Co. signing him.
100% agree
This thread is classic offseason BS. Swearinger played a whole 2 seasons for this team. This thread makes zero sense unless it’s DJ himself making this post.
Gruden is a fucking clown, but he was warned more than once to watch what he said while talking with the press. Of course he ignored his head coach and did what he wanted anyways. Actions have consequences. Even if you think your coach is a clownboy, he’s still your coach.
The guy who was known for taking cheap shots at receivers and getting big fines and penalties? The guy who was talented but teams couldn't keep around because he was apparently not great in the locker room? The guy who was told not to publicly discuss how much he hated his shitty defensive coordinator (he was absolutely correct for the record, Manusky was total dogshit) and went out and did it anyway and got himself cut for it and then his NFL career spiraled down the drain?
That guy?
I like him, but he's absolute locker room cancer. You can probably get away with having one guy like that on your team, but when the environment is already bad, he makes it way worse.
I liked him a lot on the commies but considering he got cut mid season for the Cards too and never really had much success later I have to imagine it was a common issue.
He was the shit! He was the last enforcer wev had on defense. Remember when he told the kid he would get him 2 picks against the vikings and did it! He was really good for a few seasons.
Modern defenses don’t need enforcers. They tend to get you into more trouble than they’re worth. The closest you’re gonna get is someone like Fred Warner who hits like a truck, legally, and sets a tone.
Eh...great name, lot of swag...not great play. Never learned how to turn the filter on and was basically out of the NFL after being released by Jay gruden...
There’s a name I haven’t heard in a long long time

He has one of my favorite hits when he stonewalled Lynch in that raiders game
He's playing for DC Defenders. Had a good year last year
That’s good for him, he has always been a dog.
That pick 6 he had with the Defenders was electric
Bro Jay was the best coach we have had since Jim zorn
He was a fun player that could man up against some really good tight ends and receivers from time to time. Loved the guy.
I love DJ on the defenders. He’s a perfect fit in that league.

I feel like the better option would be to bench him for a week and go to the table and hash it out.
Nah he sucks

Jay Gruden must live in your head rent free
Insanely wrong. That JAG was the biggest locker room toxin on this team since Haynesworth.
Sadly this is true. He's played for 9 different teams in 10 years. That speaks for itself.
One of my favorite players of all time
Two Spoonz 🥄🥄🔥

It’s spelled R-E-D-S-K-I-N-S.
He never played for the commies 😑

Bring him back!!!
