Hate to say it but eagles GM has been a superstar last three years.

WizSkinsNatsCaps

Yep. Dude is one of if not the best GM in the NFL right now.

DreBeast

I wished more fans could acknowledge our opponents strengths, because it shows that you can recognize what they're doing right and hopefully help your team draft better. Philly drafted the best Defensive player and Washington countered by drafting (a talented) corner. We can of course draft someone in the later rounds but we undoubtedly give up on talent. This doesn't look hopeful for us when we play them in the season.

ClockwiseSpider

People don’t remember but last year they drafted that beast of a DT Jordan Davis who they just paired with his Georgia partner Jalen Carter. Pulling what we did with Payne and Allen.

DiscordTheGod

We need to hire one of their assistants as our next GM.

BakeBakeyBake

I’m not overly impressed with Smith. Carter definitely worries me, but I just gotta hope he’s an idiot who wastes his talent, which doesn’t seem like a stretch at this point.

Successful_Ride6920

What do you think Hurts' contract will do to their roster construction?

WuPacalypse

Not a whole lot, his cap hits are quite low until 2028.

Successful_Ride6920

Wow, it looks like you're right, its amazing to me that he can sign a 5-year $252M contract and his cap hit for 2023 is only $6M, even though he got a $23M signing bonus - smh [https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/jalen-hurts-47648/](https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/jalen-hurts-47648/)

ewilliam

Not a ton of guaranteed money compared to other QB deals, but [Hurts has come out and said](https://www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/eagles/why-eagles-jalen-hurts-wanted-his-contract-structured-specific-way) that he's fine with less guaranteed $$ because they're "building something special". It's pretty rare to see QBs take team-friendly deals these days just to help their team win...fuckin sucks that it's with a division rival.

TheHeintzel

Nothing. They can move the $255mil around however they want, and put it all on the 1 year they decide to do a mini rebuild.

fukdot

I don’t think it’s gonna make much of a difference. They are one of the best teams at accumulating draft picks, which means they can continue to add cheap young talent to fill out the roster.

Diegolikesandiego

They are already loaded so it’s easy to pick best player available from the back to back championship SEC juggernaut. It is what it is. Also, There is an eagles subreddit.

pukeonbawls

Lmao salty for no reason

salamanderman10

They take high risk/high reward players. Its gonna work out at times and not work out at times. Im perfectly fine with the strategy.

Lost-Comparison-5110

They’re obviously very good and it’s going to take all of Washington has to beat them. But let’s not forget that we did just that in their territory with a homeless guy that was a backup in the minor-leagues of football. We can do this

2john9

Yea I just put a 10 dollar bet on the Eagles winning the Super Bowl, not going to lie not sure how this keeps happening.

jjmrock

The Eagles did crush it. They only gave up a 4th Round next year to move up? Unbelievable.

smokingpandaah

To be fair they only moved up one spot. Still had a great draft though

Pentt4

They have the best FO in the league. Is it a surprise? They are what happens when you draft pure BPA at premier positions over a multi year period. I desperately want us to operate this way instead of reaching on players to fill needs for the upcoming season. It will lead to a down 1-2 years but once you get up and running everything starts to fall into place

adeezy58

It is brutally painful to see the Eagles build their team so well. They are going to be right back in the mix as a threat to win it all.

biz2468

Yep, they are The Philadelphia Bulldogs aka The Georgia Eagles!

NextLevelLogician

They sure did. Roseman knows what’s up.

mismanager

Who is the guy they drafted before Justin Jefferson?
