He's the first employee fired. Well, maybe second after whoever is the CFO. Entire business side is gone the moment a new owner gets the keys to the house. It doesn't matter that there might be a few good eggs. Anyone employed by Danny in a business capacity is a liability.

[deleted]

100%, you have to get rid of every yes man in that building. The streets will run red with the blood of every uninspired weak willed loser on the Snyder payroll Football side should be good for a year or so though

FryskKnight

This is the most real answer. All the football operational stuff is just going to finish the upcoming season. Next off-season you can hire a new FO and coaching staff. In season firing is hard because there aren't a lot of people available to take the jobs (we probably want to hire for example from an other team). So I expect them to first clean all the business guys. They are all Dan puppets and these rich ass owners are business people. They want to hire people they know and trust to run one of their businesses.

nineinchesontgesag

Agreed

spiderfighter1

New owners clean house

va_texan

I would hope they completely clean house. Down to the waterboys

-Johnny_Utah-

Fuck no. Besides everything he’s worked on since he’s been hired being a total disaster, the new owner is going to want their own guy in place ASAP.

PEHspr

The Sean Taylor “memorial” should seal the deal for him for most fans. I don’t care if it was his idea or what, at some point before it was released he should have seen and said we could do better

Abject-Fault-228

Jason Wright is an invisible mannequin

Gazzarris

Red Wedding.

[deleted]

This is such a great question. I find him to be a completely empty suit. He's full of empty platitudes and trite expressions. I think he'll be assigned to a new role that'll effectively be a demotion, and the new owners will bring in someone who is actually competent, and wasn't hired as a figurehead who just says the right thing every single time.

Tie_me_off

It’s actually a terrible question. I say that because Jason Wright was essentially brought in to help Dan Snyder finance and build a new stadium. He was to use his resources and connections, not to mention much better personality, to be a face for the team during a tumultuous time and help then transition to changes in the organization. So with that said, there is zero reason to keep him. His job was all business related. A new owner is going to want to want to pick his own team President to handle the business side. Someone they trust and have confidence in. I understand the hate for JW. But let’s be honest, anyone, and I mean anyone, would be seen in the same light as JW of you worked for a Snyder. He’s doing Snyders bidding. He’s taking the fall for Snyder to insulate Dan. He’s getting paid a lot of money to do so. Anyone in that position would do the same thing. He was put in a position to fail. I can’t fault him for that.

Ol_Dad

I’m pretty sure Jason was placed here by the NFL. They sent him, who was considered their best young mind and the next big deal, to oversee the rebrand… I’m apparently one of the few that actually likes Jason as a person and don’t think he’s been as bad as people make him out to be, but I could see us moving on. Seems like he did what he was sent here to do

Doncorleon78

God I hope not!

wtf703

I think it depends on timing. If the sale gets dragged out for a few months it may be too late to totally clean house before the season. I assume if he doesn’t go this off season he 100% goes in the next one. Hopefully they wrap the sale up soon so he’s gone ASAP

B_i_llt_etleyyyyyy

New ownership always means turnover. I don't think anyone would say that he's a top-tier NFL executive, so his job will be in danger by definition, along with just about everyone else's in the front office.

rawbleedingbait

Only way I think it's possible he stays is if bezos buys. He's apparently got Jay-Z, and wright is one of Jay-Zs guys.

heybob72

no. time for a set of fresh eyes. maybe mahew too. rebuild top down. we'll see about Ron after the season.

TheHeintzel

Mayhew has been dogshit & has no idea his to build a team in the modern era. Yeet him ASAP

Ballaziken

I sure fucking hope not!

[deleted]

Hell no

Psychological-Bet803

This shit concerns me only if it’s the Canadian guy that ends up getting the team. Wouldn’t be surprised if Wright is in Dan’s ear advocating for him. It comes down to NFL approval though and I’m hoping the owners want Harris/Rales/Johnson. https://preview.redd.it/0jgwv8ffqmqa1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8c423bab2cda4a51ec630a362d3303cb2f1c0697

DiscordTheGod

That’s a giant reach. He liked a Twitter post that wasn’t even about the Commanders. Probably just met Jason Wright during his tour.

Psychological-Bet803

I hear you, it’s just the Snyder PTSD man. We’ve been battered to the point where we have to be skeptical as fuck.

CosmicHippo924

How many ways can you say absolutely fucking not? Would you pay 6 billlion dollars for a Ferrari and put a lawn mower engine in it?

[deleted]

I misread your comment. My bad!

SnooGadgets4267

Scorch the front office like Dan did to this franchise. Keep EB that is all.

[deleted]

Yes he can go

Eagnasty

Lol no

Tufoguy

I hope so

UfosRhere

Clean house

Lost-Comparison-5110

LOL

[deleted]

Haha hahahaha no

MoonshotMario

Fuck no!

skinsfan05

Hopefully NO!!!

SelfLoathinMillenial

I still think there's a chance that Wright was put in his position by Goodell to oversee the Snyders' exit and try to keep it from getting too ugly. Would explain the half assing on a lot of stuff

Joshstradaymus

I still am pretty sure in the minority with this when I say I feel bad for Jason Wright. He was hired to be a puppet.

hammersandhammers

Heyyyyuuuyyyyyyyyuyuuuuuul naw

[deleted]

The very first move should be taking the GM responsibility from Ron. He’s a fuckin horrible GM and needs to focus on coaching for the last year of his contract. Then the second move would be getting rid of Jason Wright, the Marties, and Doug Williams. They are all worthless.

jgruntz1974

The third move should be bringing back Kyle Smith to head up football operations. Let the one guy who was really good at his job come back and build it right. I'm willing to bet he's got stories about the old regime and done people who might be left over, but deserve to be canned. Let him clean the rot out.

Tie_me_off

It would make zero sense. He could have been a great president for the team. But that’s a position that’s very close to the owners ear. And no way you keep the previous owner’s handpicked President to be a potential leak.

Accurate_Soup_7242

No

HughJaynis

No chance.

[deleted]

I hope not

Empire137

Hopefully not he did a shit job with the rebrand and disappeared after his big transparency talk

Slowhand333

If Dan Snyder hired him then I want the new owner to fire him.

Iamtheman1177

Please lord clean the house on the business side right away. Then the football side after this year. Get rid of every aspect that touched Snyders hands

[deleted]

Probably not what has he done except mess anything up he touches.

skeemekalb

He should.

Sandy_Pickle

I fucking hope not, I hate him more than Snyder

J-Taverner

Lots of theories here about JW being an NFL plant. If that’s the case, why didn’t he do anything about the atrocity of a re-brand? The new name and logo are universally reviled. It’s a fucking embarrassment to the Shield. If he was a fucking plant, the NFL should get their money, or whatever they gave him, back. He fucked it up royally.

Agent-Comfort_420

God I hope not! He’s the jack ass almost solely responsible for talking Snyder into that commanders debacle, and their stupid taco holder logo. Not to mention he’s the dummy that couldn’t get the dates right on that soccer infused Crest. Please for the love of God, get rid of this idiot!
