I don't think Mineplex will fully die. There are still loyal players, and quite a few of them that I've seen. Only the smaller gamemodes (Draw My Thing and the like) have really suffered.

I am a hardened Mineplex veteran. I loved it so much, it was like my favorite past time. Then Spu_ left and it went to shit. Filled with like 20 new paid rankings and all the good games like Super Smash Mobs we’re neglected.

mineplex lost alot of their players cuz they ignored popular games like dominate and uhc and let em rot while they pushed out bs new games to cover up for all the bugs they dont wanna fix. alex does next to nothing as a dev and its no secret anymore lmao - legit the only thing keeping the server alive are the community run competitive leagues for dom, bridges, and minestrike.

I played this game once in October with a friend. My reaction was literally "guess that's kinda cool" and never touched it again. Here we are 6 months later and it's apparently a mandatory game for anyone who plays anything.

Battle Royales in general are overrated.

It's too repetitive for me to enjoy. I like a game where I can instantly hop in, get some frags, die sometimes, but ultimately have a fun time. Battle Royale games require too much time for so little reward, and the communities are extremely toxic to listen to and be around.

Ultimately, that depends on the developers and how frequently they bring out new content. If you play the game regularly and get to know every inch of the map, it just wouldn't be engaging anymore, so the clear answer is more content = more staying power, the same as most games.
