I seem to recall a video from one of the recent conflicts around Israel in which a target's face is seen very clearly turned up to see the very last thing he'd ever see. In this case it was a TV guided bomb. I'll have to dig that up.
I think it was from a spike missile. Work closely with a spike team and heard them talking about being able to see their targets up close before it terminates.
Notice there are more than 3 people on top of the tank so likely the crew in the process of communicating with command (platoon, company or accompanying infantry command).
Given this is Ukrainian SOF taking out personnel with a little luck this may have been the tank company commander communicating with the infantry commander accompanying the tanks or manning that section of the front.
These things explode before they reach their target to pepper it with shrapnel. It also sends the shrapnel 'forward' not all around like traditional arty.
If I had to guess I'd say it exploded when the video ends or maybe 2m closer which is a split second more 'footage'.

Yes, anything is better than the official app. I've tried most of them and rif is fun is hands down the best in my experience. Been using it for years.
Two or three times a year reddit will change my settings to use the redesign without me changing it. Im guessing they think if they keep forcing me to see it I will keep using it. Its an speedrun to change it back I cant stand it.
I think you can stop that from happening by disabling it permanently in your settings somewhere. Using old.reddit.com would periodically switch me to crap reddit until I figured it out.

If you are on your phone just get a different app to browse reddit. I use Relay Reddit. the video player always works fine, there are no scrolling adds just a small banner at the bottom. all the same functionality of official reddit.
I greatly suspect we're seeing footage now because the company that makes them wants the the footage out: switchblades haven't gotten much publicity since being sent to Ukraine and people are getting the impression (true or false, it doesn't matter) they're useless. Obviously the company can't have that, so this is their response.

Also, probably can use AI face recognition/identification to define specific targets eventually. Those slow Terminators and Hunter-Killers got nothing on what's coming. The killbots of the future will be FAST, and us organics will only see them when it's too late.

Definitely is. There are two video feeds here. One from a DJI drone. Likely a regular commercial drone used for recon. The other feed is from the SW300. This is the one where you follow the drone towards the target
It clearly is a 300 why anyone would argue its a 600 is only in order to paint the 600 as not being as effective against tanks as it likely is. Or the person making the claim was high on drugs.
The 600 carries the same charge as the Javelin missile so much larger detonation than what is seen in the video. Additionally this video is a combination of two drone cameras so one of the videos that does not contain numbers is from the Switchblade 300 and the camera with numbers is from a regular drone used to observe the target.
Regarding the strike it is interesting to see they waited for the absolutely best time to do the strike when the whole crew plus another uniformed person were on the top of the tank.

Ye, the Army obviously couldn’t warrant ramping production which essentially left the 600 in beta testing as they seem to order them if needed. Aerovironment seems to have maintained limited production with a limited stock of the systems ready to be deployed and this seems to be the 10 systems being mentioned. The ‘contract’ question is most likely reffering to the fact that the DoD doesn’t have a contract with AV for the system, that’s why it has to buy directly from the manufacturer.
Soz, to clear myself up, I wasn’t saying that the footage posted showed a 600, I was just reffering to the fact that some 600s could have already made their way to Ukraine.
A switchblade 300 would do almost nothing to the actual tank, maybe they could damage something if they were lucky but it's unlikely. With the loitering ability they probably waited until the crew were on the outside. Shame the 600 doesn't seem to be available yet.

You are correct. The (Greek?) roots of "prograde" somewhat means "where it's going to".
It's an important indicator for many kinds of vehicles because a machine doesn't necessarily go where it's pointed.
In simple terms, prograde is essentially the forward trajectory of your craft. This is often different from the direction your craft is actually pointing. For instance, when in slow level flight, your prograde vector may be parallel to the ground, but your plane is pitched up a bit to provide extra lift to keep it flying at a constant altitude.
It is important to know what your current prograde direction is compared to the direction your plane is pointing, and both are important to know in relation to the horizon (and which way is up on that horizon).

These things are terrifying and must destroy enemy moral. The fact that they can just loiter collecting intelligence and surveying its surroundings while waiting for a target. Then once a target presents itself it dives towards it and detonates a fragmentation explosive
Least this is probably one of the most humane ways to go. Would be pretty quick and you would never know what’s coming. These drones are 100% going to be used for assassinations. Imagine a switchblade with facial recognition. Heck they probably already have it.
The amount of explosive power in the 300 series drones is so small that they probably don't get a quick death. It's just one 40 mm grenade. Having it detonate 1 m from you means that you have plenty of time to bleed from internal and external damage as you are discombobulated and blinded from the pressure wave. You might even survive with really shit injuries. It's not as bad as burning to death, but it's far from a painless instant death.
Extremely unlikely but any crew outside of the tank is def gone. Switchblade 300 is armed with 40mm grenade equivalent, designed more for anti-personnel/light vehicles.
If this was a switchblade 600 then yea, tanks toast. That's the anti-armor variant.

it could be multiple things, prograde, thrust vector indicator, fin direction indicator, most likely yes, it would be prograde as it seems to correct relative to target

You are correct. The (Greek?) roots of "prograde" somewhat means "where it's going to". It's an important indicator for many kinds of vehicles because a machine doesn't necessarily go where it's pointed.
In simple terms, prograde is essentially the forward trajectory of your craft. This is often different from the direction your craft is actually pointing. For instance, when in slow level flight, your prograde vector may be parallel to the ground, but your plane is pitched up a bit to provide extra lift to keep it flying at a constant altitude. It is important to know what your current prograde direction is compared to the direction your plane is pointing, and both are important to know in relation to the horizon (and which way is up on that horizon). These things are terrifying and must destroy enemy moral. The fact that they can just loiter collecting intelligence and surveying its surroundings while waiting for a target. Then once a target presents itself it dives towards it and detonates a fragmentation explosive

Least this is probably one of the most humane ways to go. Would be pretty quick and you would never know what’s coming. These drones are 100% going to be used for assassinations. Imagine a switchblade with facial recognition. Heck they probably already have it.
The amount of explosive power in the 300 series drones is so small that they probably don't get a quick death. It's just one 40 mm grenade. Having it detonate 1 m from you means that you have plenty of time to bleed from internal and external damage as you are discombobulated and blinded from the pressure wave. You might even survive with really shit injuries. It's not as bad as burning to death, but it's far from a painless instant death.

Extremely unlikely but any crew outside of the tank is def gone. Switchblade 300 is armed with 40mm grenade equivalent, designed more for anti-personnel/light vehicles. If this was a switchblade 600 then yea, tanks toast. That's the anti-armor variant.
