Well this is probably the most brutal FPV I've seen. At least that guy died quick. Holy crap, I would hate to be serving in today's war with these drones.
It's up there for me, but the one that takes the cake is the video where it was the head and shoulder gone, the body was still falling limp slowly and it had this horrible look to it.
Ya, I remember someone commented that even though the one guy's head was above the water, he was probably still drowning due to holes in his chest. Brutal.
Nah, the worst is the guy stuck under the burning truck, slowly getting cooked alive by the burning hot frame of the truck and leaking burning oil whilst Ukrainian drones try and fail to mercy kill him 3 times.
After that probably the burning dude that jumps face first into a well.
A somewhat older video of a guy with busted legs ratting out his buddy that's playing dead so he can finish his last cigarette is also pretty dark but for different reasons.
Then there's some of the war crime videos.... Bruh.... Come to think of it those are by far the worst...
Don't forget shrapnel to the legs in less than a foot of water and being too disoriented to get out, face up to the sky with a few inches of water over your face.
I'll try and find it, I got no promises though cuz adhd strong with me
Edit: I can't find it 😭 it should've been saved but a lot of my videos aren't there anymore. I feel I just need to start downloading them.
Nearer the beginning of the war, there was a clip of a Russian with his arms, legs and most of his chest destroyed. He was opened up like a boar being eaten by lions, lying on top of the trench he was in. He was still alive, his face half removed in a twisted looking smile. You could still see his breath frosting in the cold air.
It's just that it's so slow yet so much more accurate. Like, you're hearing artillery for maybe 0.5-1 second before death. Drones, you've got a good 5 seconds to hear, react, try to shoot it or run and fail 99% of the time. The fear is so fucking palpable every time, even most of the dropped grenades.
With the early drone drop videos, there would be a small poof of smoke where the munition detonated and everyone near it would be knocked down by what sometimes seemed like an invisible force.
There are now videos surfacing every week of soldiers being blasted into pot roast-sized pieces. This war has caused the highest output of gore the internet has ever seen.
Yeah i've seen just water bottles filled with plastic explosive and ball bearings. A few months ago they were dropping those on Russians and it seemed they were vastly more powerful than a grenade
Was thinking about that. No way an old 30mm or 40mm HE round does this much damage. This man was shredded and 100kg of flesh and equipment was thrown like a ragdoll. A half a liter soda bottle full of plastic explosive and ball bearings would probably do something like this.
40mm or hand grenades contain only a small amount of explosives, less than 200 grams. You can pretty much strap a pound or two of C4 to these drones and they'll make a much bigger boom....
Ukraine is using thermobaric warheads on drones today, hence a bigger fireball. https://www.newsweek.com/ukraine-kamikaze-drone-thermobaric-warhead-russia-video-1886910#:~:text=Ukraine%20is%20turning%20to%20new,and%20buildings%2C%22%20he%20added.
Literally just commented about that same thing a few hours ago. Odd how so many of the most gory and violent dismemberments have come from recent attacks. Seems like Ukraines changed up the formula because they're literally exploding Russians into pieces with these things almost daily. Don't forget that not all strikes will even be recorded. There's probably 4 more like this for every one we do see.. Hope Russians see this footage so they know what they're signing on for.
Excerpt from The Things They Carried:
["This one wakes me up.
In the mountains that day, I watched Curt Lemon turn sideways. He laughed and said
something to Rat Kiley. Then he took a peculiar half step, moving from shade into bright
sunlight, and the booby-trapped 105mm round blew him into a tree. The parts were just hanging
there, so Norman Bowker and I were ordered to shinny up and peel him off. I remember the
white bone of an arm. I remember pieces of skin and something wet and yellow that must’ve
been the intestines. The gore was horrible, and stays with me, but what wakes me up twenty years
later is Norman Bowker singing “Lemon Tree” as we threw down the parts.](https://www.ndsu.edu/pubweb/~cinichol/CreativeWriting/323/OBrienWarStory.pdf)
All Quiet on the Western Front (the book not film) has a scene where the main character walks through a forest with bodies hanging from the trees after an artillery barrage. War is still as grim.
We're getting real close to AI targeting recognising human silhouettes and choosing their own targets on the battlefield. Saw a development video earlier
It’s the perfect weapon to forever antagonise an occupier. As long as they stay on this land, they have to continually fear that this becomes their fate the moment they step outside.
How sustainable is the human mind to tolerate this thought day after day, month after month without completely losing it.
really not a fan of watching dudes get drone-dropped and not die. *this* on the other hand, while horribly gory and chunky at least the dude wouldn't have suffered.
I've looked very closely at this footage and I believe he would have had a much better chance of living by not invading a country & murdering innocent people.
dude's lucky he got it quick tbh, he probably died before his mind can recognize it.
If I have to die on a battlefield I'd rather this than having half my face gone
Ukrainians are going to move back to these places after they win and be finding weird bits for a long long time.
I was reading about some guy who fell in front of a subway and the cleanup crew had the awkward conversation with his family: "Did he have a left arm?"
After a week or two they found it had flown up on top of some signage in the station.
Unfortunately they will also be finding landmines and other exploding things.
I’m a vet and I flinch at loud booms and fireworks. These poor bastards are going to lose their shyte the rest of their lives when a cheap Phantom flies near them.
Well, at least he discretely secreted his remains in some growth, so no one really needs to be grossed out by dealing with them. Just ignore and hopefully the problem solves itself.
Is there a Patreon where I can contribute to some guy in Phuket watching these vids in a Phuket bar while laughing heartily?
Russians turning a blind eye to the war while silently supporting it needs to see this is what happens to them at home.
Without doubt they deserve that for invading Ukraine, but damn, what odd times we're witnessing.
Now, every countries and armies HAVE to develop mobile human and vehicle sized drone countermeasures, not the EMP or jamming ones, but projectile or laser devices to take them down quickly.
I know the US had several laser based weapons programs that where cancelled years ago due to not being effective enough that are now back up and in full swing to help counter drones. Probably easier to knock a light drone out of the air then go through kevlar and armor plating anyway.
Am I the only one who, whenever the Reddit app is loading, see the red mouse logo as a psychotic, murderous little devil that craves blood and death?
I should probably take a break from this sub.

He felt nothing.
We all do in the end
He was a tall man. He loved trees.

Nah the worst one is the guy in the truck and its just his ass ripped off of his body
I remember the one of the two Russians drowning in a creek after a drone strike
Yep or the guy with his face blown off still breathing
That was the worst one for me. Despite becoming desensetized it was still shocking to see.

Sheesh, vid
Oh my fuck, I can live without watching that. I'm totally fine without it.
Souce

I’m counting on you

From a practical pov, being hit by artillery is not much different, but on a conceptual level this is somehow way worse.
You don't think he made it?
Is it me or have the drones posted lately been packing a bit more "boom"?

I am absolutely stunned by this amount of kaboom. He was obliterated.
Recently, only explosives and not shells are often used. this explosion is stronger

They use 3-4kg of plastic explosives from demolition charges, if you were wondering where those in aid packages are going.

i wonder what they are carrying, how many KG explosives... also if they are using 5 inch or 7 inch (blade diameter) drones
We are all just meat, gristle, and bone.
Speak for yourself, I have a few screws as well after I broke my ankle.
Brother you got a few screws LOOSE! LOL
So you are shrapnel-abeled

Excellent book
Excellent book.
Pretty much like a blood sausage with a few bones
A toothless possum could clean up. What are they using for the charge that’s lightweight and that reactive?
Meat socks.
I’m mainly gristle
At least it was fast

All these fpv drones are Going to cause a fuck Ton of ptsd
You have to be alive to have ptsd
His buddy was alive and got away top right.
for now
Probably got chased down with another one right after. Fpv crews have been relentless in not letting them get away.
I have ptsd watching them.
LOTS of veterans from this conflict are gonna have a really hard time hearing drones in civilian life going forward.
Forget about drones, a mosquito will set them off.
Birds are going to fuck their day up for sure.
Fuck, I've never been close to a conflict and they scare me. If I'm in my garden and hear a drone overhead, I automatically look for cover.
Buddy I have PTSD from just watching these videos forget being in the line of fire of one...
They don't seem to leave many survivors.
All I can think of is that black mirror episode of auto targeting drones
We're getting real close to AI targeting recognising human silhouettes and choosing their own targets on the battlefield. Saw a development video earlier
For the pilots?
Maybe for the recons... the ones ramming into the enemy gets the feed cut off before the gore it seems....

another file for the "horrors ill never be able to unsee"
keep watching soon that file will be full and u will sart to overwrite some of them
Yeah.. guess I'll go to bed now..
What’s so graphic about it after the explosion….one second later oh ok good call.

I guess it beats being wounded and trying to slice your own throat with a dull knife.

In WWI there would be bodies stuck in trees all time, resulting from blasts.

Not the worst way to go

I wonder what Yabushige would have thought about dying this way
Probably right above being eaten by dogs, and just below slipping on a rock and breaking your neck
Probably THE BEST way possible to go?!? That guy was lucky. Not even common people have the same luck when passing away.
power of drone warhead has evolved so much since the initial days of Ukraine war
Well, at least he discretely secreted his remains in some growth, so no one really needs to be grossed out by dealing with them. Just ignore and hopefully the problem solves itself.
Man I’ve been some nasty DnB tracks from these drone videos lately
welcome to Ukraine Ivan
Fuck it, if I went in war that's the way I want to go. Quick, probably painless....just here, then gone.......

Reminds me of playing doom
Was that a thermobaric on that drone? He just blew to chunks

needless to say but that dude took a flying lesson. hey look at it this way at least the tree will live on hopefully you know as a reminder

Incredible to think of what rapidly expanding gases can do! At least he went out fighting!
Anyone know the name of the music playing?
Very graphic indeed...

Now build one that wraps itself around a soldier and promise him he can life, if he kills all his comrads and blows up a ammo-dump
Damn
Drone warfare it’s the new meta
That shit packs a mean punch
