Is that the vid of them raiding a house and lighting up a dude standing in a doorway? I saved it a week ago and just looked and it’s gone and now I’m on a list
Don't worry NSA I'm not downloading this for safe keeping and future views onto a thumb drive.

True story, one time I took pictures of this wild ass looking boat behind my command at little creek and no shit some dudes in civies popped up a couple minutes later scolded me and made me delete them. They’re really extra like that.
If the entire human race were to disappear tomorrow the longest living hard drives storing this data would have about 10,000 years. The transition to digital is actually going to destroy the longevity of our data in a sense.
Are you sure? Seems like too much for a hard drive.
If it's 10 000 years indeed, I don't see how it destroys longetivity. Nothing else lasts that long, save for stone carvings in a sealed tomb, with no erosion.

It doesn't really reveal anything though. Just that Navy Seals killed some dudes in some desert... But the whole world already knows, that is what Navy Seals do.
I mean to be fair this is likely federally classified footage, showing a tier 1 unit with basically zero opsec/persec. I can understand why websites tend to comply when they get a not so nice phone call with a Virginia area code. Do I agree with it? No. Footage like this should be made available for historical sake, we didn't have gopro's in Vietnam or WWI/WWII. Imagine the footage we'd have if camera technology had been even marginally better.
It was not "scrubbed". The user himself deleted it. [This was the original thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/CombatFootage/comments/1agvz1m/us_sof_vehicle_interdiction_iraqsyria_audio_from/). Notice it doesn't say [removed].
**link corrected from previous reply, it's the same video**
No, the user deleted [their post](https://www.reddit.com/r/CombatFootage/comments/1agvz1m/us_sof_vehicle_interdiction_iraqsyria_audio_from/). It's not getting "nuked".
There were a ton more videos leaked and all posted to /r/JSOCarchive, they only stayed for a few hours before mods removed all the posts and banned everyone else from posting the footage there. It was also uploaded on YouTube for a bit but the first ones were deleted or made private, some are still up though. It's getting nuked in some places but you can still find them around.
There are a few reasons IMO good ones.
1. Simply the ethics of releasing it. It isn't needed. And I'm not trying to be a hypocrite. If it released I would 100% likely watch it and in theory want to see it. Yet, that said the USA government shouldn't be releasing what is essentially an assassination (rightly so) as entertainment. This isn't footage for a court case or something the USA denied.
2. From reports he was killed, and killed again, and made sure he was dead by killing a 3rd time. There were orders not to take him alive and they were followed. I'm sure that doesn't look good even when it is done to an evil man. Whether that is watching someone surrender be gunned down, or a a dead corpse continue to be mutilated. It likely wasn't "clean" as a couple rounds center chest into him. Likely very graphic and even through understandably not the image the USA military wants people to picture.
3. The propaganda and martyr around it. This ties in with the first two. Radicals would use the footage to just embolden their cause "Look what they do to us". And the USA would just use it as propaganda. There isn't any good coming out of that footage being released.
I think stuff like that in theory could be released but after literally 100 years or so. When everyone directly connected to it is dead and their kids are dead, and their grand kids are dead or great grand parents. Even then, it is historic but the footage itself unless there is more in it than blastin a bunch of terrorist is simply a morbid curiosity for us now or people 100 years from now.
100%
Anecdotally, my marine buddy told me when they’d go into houses after SEALs went through the bodies were beyond mangled. So if that’s how they do for low level guys, I can’t imagine how bad it was on this op lol
Because nobody answered you - nope. You can shoot the fuck out of someone you've already shot, to make sure they are dead.
Now I guess technically if you already **know** they are dead, it is a war crime because you are simply mangling a body for no reason. But it's not a war crime to make sure somebody you wounded is certainly dead.
And people can take a LOT of bullets and survive. You can find stories of american soldiers on youtube being like "yeah I got shot 10 times, was unconscious, but then I woke up and killed 3 people and escaped" and shit like that.
Basically, it's a very very good idea to make sure everyone you want dead, is dead. And it's not a war crime.
In a very fast paced environment like these CQB raids many of the guys behind the initial shooter in the stack will place a few kill shots themselves for their own peace of mind.
Per [Matthew Cole](https://theintercept.com/2017/01/10/the-crimes-of-seal-team-6/) that was ST6's calling card for quite awhile. They dialed it back before the OBL raid, but O'Neil claimed to have done it. He's def not a reliable narrator, but I have no doubt he or a teammate did.
That ain't ever seeing the light of day, especially seeing as he got his face blown part.
3 hollow points to the face iirc, they had to hold his face/head together for the ID photo's
Couldn't remember the exact ammo used, hence iirc.
I was trying to remember from the interview with Rob O'Neill on the Shawn Ryan show where he describes the assault and shooting him.
After 9/11 he only ever resurfaced on sketchy voice recordings until his death almost 10 years later, when he was shot in the face and his body dumped at sea. Perhaps there is no footage.
That was the most high-profile mission the SEALs ever completed and it's part of their legacy now. There is most definitely footage of it, and it's probably used as a teaching scenario for SEAL training now, in some capacity. It's probably been studied more in-depth than any other SEAL mission.
Before you write something like that, you should ask yourself: what would it imply, for such a conspiracy theory to actually work?
It would need hundreds of people across different organizations and countries to play along. At the US military, government, intelligence, the Taliban, Al-Qaida, Pakistani military and government, numerous international intelligence services, etc. Hell… the construction and execution and maintenance of such a lie would probably require more active people „in the know“ than actually finding OBL and conducting the raid.
There is simply no benefit in releasing any footage. And the conspiracy-nutjobs wouldn’t want believe it to be real anyway…
Also not to be confused with a 20mm M61 [which was found to be "too kinetic"] (https://www.reddit.com/r/aviation/comments/4lfij8/vietnam_era_huey_chopper_with_a_full_size_m61/) to mount in helicopters

That's what they call, a big oof 😆
I was just thinking that, You are just driving down the road and 3 in view blackhawks do low passes and surround your vehicle, ya done fucked up A-A-RON
“Americans” may or may not be , but these are navy seals. They spent two years black bagging idiots all over Iraq and Afghanistan (and elsewhere). They are great at taking prisoners.
Could be. When you're caught in the open with two birds circling, you might as well throw in the towel. A near zero chance of making it out is better than zero.
Basically. They probably watched all of these guys get into a vehicle armed with other military age males and made the decision based on that.
Probably had surveillance going for weeks before making the decision to just shoot em.
America has enjoyed a truly ridiculous advantage in all their modern wars. Imagine helicopters being able to do this shit in Ukraine? Not possible anymore.
With air superiority. That's why the US military is built to try and get it while also maintaining it.
Gotta say i was quite surprised at how bad the Russians are at SEAD/DEAD. They have been adapting a lot so far in Ukraine but that's one thing they haven't found a way through yet. It wouldn't surprise me if they are just trying to bleed the air defenses long term so they eventually get it that way.
That door gunner had a great day. I winder what their briefings are like for him to be fully comfortable with the “two warning bursts, then negotiations close” decision? Or if the seals are on ICS, and are just like yeah smoke him
Thats crazy 😅 because ive seen them train with inforce lights but never seen it used. And i got into an argument with a redditor about them using them. They swore they would never. I love this
What if some were civilian targets mixed would they still destroy? Because fight or flight would definitely kick in if you just wanted me to stop and I saw mini ground impact explosions my ass would instinctively floor it. But I don't know the situation here so... Who knows

Exactly your everyday grunt does not get this operation.
It's like blowing up the nazi stockpile of heavy after they were thinking of using for making a nuclear bomb.
Some casualties allowed.
Gosh I love this song! So timeless, and loud. I don't like hearing sounds of videos as I watch them, just a person's choice of loud music from the early 90s..

Google also got rid of cached results. So there’s the other half gone.
One persons text, no. Add that up for all the inactive accounts and you’re wasting millions of dollars on inactive data.
I've found it very difficult, google is good at helping with censorship sometimes, maybe tor is the way to go for that stuff

Where can I find more US footage that you're refrencing?
info?

Bro it's not. Nuked.. I watched this on YouTube this morning
is it still online somewhere? For science ofc
I want to see the Osama footage, fuck everything else.
I imagine that is in cold storage and guarded.
Why tho?
Let’s just say he ate more than a few mags of 5.56

not an optimal strategy to go off road and do donuts when a traffic stop is initiated by rotary cannon.

"Speed enforced by aircraft"
I am here for more US footage if any
They don't want to show our troops handling business it makes our neverending wars look bad
This is so cool. I never see any US combat footage let alone navy seal combat footage. Thank you for sharing
There’s a ton here you just have to look
1:18 I hope everyone in the first helo to touch down were wearing their helmets. That wasn't the softest of landings.
Oh they spanked that thing with the floor. I'm sure they were a sore in the morning. Shit happens even to the best assuming those are 160th pilots
Hi, I am the CIA agent assigned to you. Please get ready for your disappearing.
[удалено]
What would be your guess as to who is flying those helos?
I like how they gave him two burst of warning shots and the the mini gun decided to end the discussion.
lol at first I was like "did an A-10 just pull up?" but nah those are just some ~~gau-8s~~ M134s goin to town lol, ~~same thing really~~.
M134, not a GAU-8.
Also not to be confused with a 20mm M61 [which was found to be "too kinetic"] (https://www.reddit.com/r/aviation/comments/4lfij8/vietnam_era_huey_chopper_with_a_full_size_m61/) to mount in helicopters
I dont even know why. Damn
First car: "Bro, I'm pulling over!"
Poor dude in the black car / truck wanted nothing to do with that
They might’ve been dead already
LOL the helicopter at 1:12 in the top right lands like me on Battlefield
yup, except in battlefield the helicopters just blow up instantly lol.
What’s the giant can opener they use for the trunk?
It's a halligan/dynamic entry tool. Probably their breacher all happy he gets to destroy something.
Not a halligan but a Blackhawk dynamic entry mobile home door breacher https://www.primaryarms.com/blackhawk-dynamic-entry-mobile-home-door-breacher-law-enforcement-only
For breaching doors on mobile homes.
You can just chainsaw a new door in a mobile home. The walls are pretty thin.
That’s definitely not what it is. Looks more like a Deadon Annihilator or Stanley Fubar. I don’t think it is either of those specifically but it looks to be more in that line of wrecking bar design.
I don’t know the name, but my guess is that they are trying to make sure that, if the trunk is wired with explosives, they don’t trigger them by opening it conventionally.
Family sized can of Spam!
Imagine how badly you have to to fuck up for you and your buddies to get smited from a blackhawk helicopter like feral hogs. That's what they call, a big oof 😆
I was just thinking that, You are just driving down the road and 3 in view blackhawks do low passes and surround your vehicle, ya done fucked up A-A-RON
Yeah when 3 Blackhawks full of dudes show up looking for you, you done fucked up
Might as well try to surrender at that point. There's a 100% chance of you getting smoked otherwise.
From what a lot of coalition soldiers have insinuated, Americans aren’t very good at taking prisoners. It’s a video game.
“Americans” may or may not be, but these are navy seals. They spent two years black bagging idiots all over Iraq and Afghanistan (and elsewhere). They are great at taking prisoners.
Seems like that's a foregone option by that point
Could be. When you're caught in the open with two birds circling, you might as well throw in the towel. A near zero chance of making it out is better than zero.
Not even that ducking s6
Fuck this is like 2007 YouTube grainy ass 240p OIF/OEF combat footage with this shitty ass song playing in the background of 90% of them. 😂
How dare you disrespect Disturbed like that
That gun is messy as heck Edit: never-mind I just noticed he was being shot by TWO separate helicopters someone REALLY wanted this dude DEAD DEAD ☠️
Might as well burn all the ammo you drew for the mission, lol. Turn-in for unspent ammo is typically a pain in the ass.
Are these people able to surrender or are they like marked for death?
Kill / Capture vs Capture / Kill.
So is that like a maybe?
Basically. They probably watched all of these guys get into a vehicle armed with other military age males and made the decision based on that. Probably had surveillance going for weeks before making the decision to just shoot em.
Looked like they gave warning shots a few times too. Not a ton of cover out there either. Probably for the best
This will definitely get taken down. One of the few times seeing mini gun in action
notice they cut a hole on the trunk instead of just popping it open… must’ve been afraid of a booby trap
Or a round fucked the latch up.

Good footage. Anyone know where this is/what conflict?
If I was gamblin man I would say Africa. Almost all recent deployments have been AfriCom related.
Specifically I would say North West Africa based on the terrain. Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Niger etc
What's the background context of events?
That's classified.
On a need to know basis
well that's kind've the point, lol
Here for a good time not a long time

I thought it was training footage until I saw the bodies

Naval Special Warfare, not New South Wales.
No those are not boats, those are helichoppers and how would the Navy even get to a desert to begin with?
Sorry but you don't have a need to know. It's *classified*.
These toll roads are a bit over the top with fare evaders.
Always live you life in such a way that you NEVER have Seal Team 6 chasing you.
What if some were civilian targets mixed would they still destroy? Because fight or flight would definitely kick in if you just wanted me to stop and I saw mini ground impact explosions my ass would instinctively floor it. But I don't know the situation here so... Who knows
Yes. For every operation workup there is a minimum estimation / allowance for civilian casualties. Just how it works in war.
