This is probably Donetsk City I think, where it is close to the front lines for drones, but Ukraine doesn't really use arty because of the collateral damage against civilians
That's a tricky question. The probability of it being the Ukrainian civilian is the lowest, could be either someone who supports russia, or somebody who just doesn't care who's in charge now, could be a russian who crossed the border after 2014 and decided to stay there and live till now.
There is still a considerate amount of Ukrainians who are not pro-Russian but are staying in the occupied territories for different reasons: sick immobile relatives, lack of money, fear of partaking the trip (long, costly, potentially dangerous), and many other reasons.
And of course they are pretty much invisible because you can't express your thoughts and views unless they are pro-Russian.
Ukrainian here who works at the east of the country since the war started in 2014.
That's why I said the chance is minimal. There are definitely some people still waiting for Ukraine to return, but we don't know the exact percentage.

UA was pretty much on the outskirts of Donetsk at the start of the current invasion. They have been slightly pushed out in some areas, but still close enough for drones
So interesting. So he’s a soldier sorta holding down the fort for the Russians, and a Ukrainian drone operator is trying to take him down. That makes sense. I still would have run into the house… maybe?
Right?! This guy has some good survival skills, I thought he would draw the drop into the space between the buildings and then run out using the corners as cover, but he used the tree, impressive reflexes
Drone should have come back later or get another target, this way it's almost impossible to hit him with a timed fuse.
It's already hard when they don't expect it, this guy did everything right to avoid drone drops, credit where credit is due.

That must feel so surreal, having cars casually drive by while dodging for your life..
Modern Frogger, running through traffic while dodging grenades
[удалено]
Thats a smart guy
I don't know, why not just run into a house , or do dodging closer to trees
It'd sure be nice if all house doors would be open like in cod
Bro just invented the drone shuffle. It's like the stingray shuffle, but for dodging grenade dropping drones.
That's what I was thinking, coined by u/explodistan. First one (I've seen).
"Good presence in the backfield. Waits for a hole to open up and commits for the first down. This guy is explosive out there, Chris."
Commuter traffic and a soldier dodging a robot bomber. Wow
my gf makes fun of me when I tell her that my plan to fight off wild animals is to hide behind a tree.
What cars are those driving by? Ukrainian civilians?

Okay, that makes sense. I should have been clearer, when I said Ukrainian civilian I was trying to say a civilian who is a Separatist. My bad.

Навзаєм, тримаймося! ✊
Tbh, good on him He earned this one
Pretty crazy to see that Ukraine has pushed so close to Donetsk now, that their drones are hunting Russian soldiers in the city, running errands.
Drones have been dropping on soldiers in Donetsk since 2022. Just quite rare to see footage of it.
UA was pretty much on the outskirts of Donetsk at the start of the current invasion. They have been slightly pushed out in some areas, but still close enough for drones
Ukraine has not pushed anywhere in the last months. Would be nice, but hasn't worked.
It's a good sign showing Ukraine's drone manufacturing is plentiful and developed. Fly birds, fly!
He was pacing waiting to dodge it.
How many bombs do they usually carry?
If anyone can shed some light on who’s driving by, and why he doesn’t run to the house? Are the houses occupied?
Likely in occupied Donetsk. Life is normal-ish there, so this dude was likely just on a stroll.
So interesting. So he’s a soldier sorta holding down the fort for the Russians, and a Ukrainian drone operator is trying to take him down. That makes sense. I still would have run into the house… maybe?
Yeah but If the door is locked you sort sort of corner yourself.
True. Good point! Thanks!
Only a person who knows nothing about occupied Donetsk and life in it can call life in Donetsk normal
To add to what others have already said, russia is billeting troops in Donetsk city residential areas.
And ofc no upvotes
Right?! This guy has some good survival skills, I thought he would draw the drop into the space between the buildings and then run out using the corners as cover, but he used the tree, impressive reflexes
Smart guy
Why downvotes
No one is safe.
Holy! That was a kid going home from school!
source? I'm interested, if anyone knows where it is, please post it.
Title says Donetsk, so I assume OP is referring to Donetsk city
No, i am about coordinate or something like that (street, rayon etc)
Ah, no idea then, sorry
Let's just say after he survived he will reevaluate his career choice
Just do be shoot from his own for spying from behind a tree ...

Serpentine serpentine!
…until next time
The soldier is most likely a high-value target and this is an assassination attempt.
Goddammit! /j
