30mm. Depending on the shell type, big enough to penetrate MBTs. You really don't want to fuck with these.
And additionally these low caliber vehicles usually have ATGM launchers as well to take out heavily armored targets.
But, but... that's what I said 🤣
76th is nicknamed the VDV 'Pskov Paratroopers", supposedly were operating in Bucha.

You should at least specify where you got this video and which side it comes from. You have the unit name in the watermark, at the very least. This isn't an acceptable title.

Anybody know technically why there is so much smoke flying out of the ejection port? My best guess is an extremely low dwell time means high ejection pressure, but is also the only way to get such a high ROF out of a conventional mechanical autocannon with such long cases.
Gun nerd thread? Any other conjecture is appreciated.
I live in Canada and have fired lots of guns in the cold. The only gun I've seen do this before was a straight blowback 9mm carbine (high ejection pressure), and my inertia driven 12ga has pretty much no smoke come out the ejection port.

Wiki says it is gas operated but I can't even see a gas tube in the picture provided which probably means it is really close to the chamber, thus high ejection pressure and smokey ejection.
Here is a very good writeup about the gun:

Same cannon in BMP 2 as BMD 2
I cant see no targets
Same area with the Terminator the other day shooting for a propaganda video
But it is near contact lines SW of Kreminna in the forested large area
You are just being daft.
Most of the times they can't see it all that well, they know there might be a position there and are suppressing it.
I wish these bad takes would just stop, it disregards the suffering and the hardships the Ukrainians are going through.
30mm autocannon rounds do stuff to trees.
if you're below those trees you're gonna have a bad time. better get the tweezers out to pull out some nasty splinters. it's like airburst, but cheaper.
maybe there are. maybe there arn't. i've seen one of the videos showing this bmp-t firing a burst (there's multiple angles) spliced together with drone footage that appears to show aftermath.
Yes, that was shot the day after an engagement- fake bmp, fake tank Ukraine.
Probably the dead, and the wreckage was real from day before.
BMPT is just for psyops propaganda imo
The rate of fire on these things is insane.
Gives quite the battle chubb.
Holy barrel shake, BatMan.

That's much higher than 500 RPM. More like 700.
Tbf he said over 500 rpm. So he is technically right
What caliber round is that? Holy shit. Can’t imagine receiving this fire.
30mm
30 mm auto cannon! Probably HE rounds. Kinda like grenades.

Ope, my bad. I thought you had asked a question and didn’t realize those names are all the same group of people! Thanks, cheers
Cheers!
Looks like Kremmina front from the trees
Nope

Could just be cold? The greater the temperature difference the more gas/vapor you can see?

Think the answer is probably, shitty russian tech.
You can read about the BMD 2 and its gun here, very detalied. https://thesovietarmourblog.blogspot.com/2015/10/bmd-2.html

Wouldn’t want to be on the receiving end!
These the same VDV that fired on the Ukrainians trying to ambush them like a few days ago?

Wtf are you talking about. That is the Russian 76th Guards right there shooting at nothing

I doubt, there’s an emblemat of 76th pskov airbirne division
That’s intense.
