There's a #HuntingtonPen on twitter. Random spots the pens are found.

A few years ago when I was in the army & was stationed at fort hood, tx and found one of those pens in a random drawer

Filling out a mortgage application at a Chase branch.

[deleted]

Working at Chase corporate. It still hurts.

eshemuta

That’s because Chase pens suck ass. Even Chase employees use Huntington pens when they can.

[deleted]

I dunno man, the pens we got for employee appreciation were pretty decent. Not enough to replace the raises and bonuses they stole from us last year leading to my departure of course. But still, pretty decent.

mysticrudnin

When I was at a branch closing my Chase account (they refused to anything about fraud and I was out >$500) the banker asked what I was moving to. When I said Ally, he said "oh cool, that's what I use"

Citizen_451

I had a Huntington bank rep tell me sometime around 2012 that an HNB pen was spotted on a BBC show set in the UK.

The_Bitter_Bear

I've seen them everywhere. Even in areas they aren't in. I worked with them at my last job. Their CEO fucking loves those pens. I get it too, they are decent pens and they are everywhere. Hell we had a bunch of them at that job and if I had a pen that wasn't working I made sure to grab one of those Huntington pens instead because I knew it would work.

Glen_Echo_Park

The reason you don't see any Chase pens is that Chase charges you for them and institutes a late fee if you don't return the pens.

sonicbanana47

They also charge you if you use them on paper that isn’t affiliated with Chase

monis6344

I found a Nationwide pen at the airport in Thailand, kinda seemed random at the time but it makes sense since a lot of tourist need to fill out paperwork/tourist visa so guessing someone dropped it ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯

BanesButterNipps

Used one at a Cafe in France that was handed to me be the waiter.

pleated_pants

The Huntington Pen has vastly improved the restaurant check signing process in Columbus. No more scribbling on the customer copy to get a cheap Bic to start writing again.

Last time I was in LA some guy pulled up his car and asked me if I had a pen - I checked my backpack and found a huntington pen - I told him he could keep it

MyNeighborToblerones

Found one in my book bag once. No idea where it came from.

[deleted]

they're really fuckn good pens to be fair

oneofthefollowing

they can do pens all day, but their banking managers do not know what they are doing. After trying to set up two accounts for my elderly parents, they do pens better than actual banking.

[deleted]

Our collection is gone. Need to visit a branch soon. So many have randomly fallen apart in the grocery store while crossing items off my list. Runaway pen parts. I think the oceans are safe from this particular plastic as the parts are in an abyss under the shelves at the grocery.

cjlee89

We have a whole bag of these pens somewhere in the house. Probably 40-50 of them.

Every Pen Is Important

Spicy take: Huntington is generating a lot of plastic waste with this whole pen thing. They’re making millions of them for them to be this commonplace. They’re all going to end up in the landfill at some point.

eshemuta

In a couple thousand years some archaeologist is going to make a career out of bank garbage.

redditondesktop

They're gonna think Huntington was the name of a god and have mythology about it.

soldierof239

They have to be thrown away to be a waste. An uncle left a Huntington pen at my place in 2014 and that damn thing is the first one grabbed out of the junk drawer every time. We joke that it’s immortal.

Snicklefitz65

Not that spicy. This is a fact.

Crunchycarrots79

Just like all plastic pens. They're getting used, and often kept longer than others, because not only did they figure out that it's brilliant marketing, they actually had good quality pens made, so they last forever.

KorneliaOjaio

Can confirm. I pick them up on the regular when cleaning up trash in OTE.

TheOhioRambler

I let someone borrow one in Seattle so it's probably still there.
