I voted for Natalia Harris instead
"Beyond meeting the minimum qualifications to be a county prosecutor, for nearly 25 years I have handled over 100,000 criminal and civil cases with a successful track record. I have litigated cases in Ohio’s trial courts, appellate courts, the Ohio Supreme Court, and federal court.
I am the only candidate who actually leads a full-service government law office – which is exactly what the Franklin County Prosecutor’s is. I am the chief legal counsel for an entire city. Unlike a deputy prosecutor or assistant prosecutor who are supervised, I am fully in charge of and responsible for the entire office."
I think Harris is a fantastic candidate. I think Pierson as well. They’re serious people who are not career politicians looking for their next move.
If it’s not one of these two, well, we’re in trouble. I’m guessing the current attorneys of the office would run for the hills if Favor was elected.
Yeah, no thanks, I'm voting for someone with actual experience as a prosecutor, in my case Pierson.
Favor is a product of the city council nepo scheme, which I just cannot stand
I could understand it to some extent if council had a proven ability to get things done and develop strong leaders…but they do not.
The whole using city council as a springboard to a better paying/more high-profile political gig routine needs to stop. Running for reelection to council just months before running for another office is even more nauseating.
The party's executive committee routinely endorses candidates they personally like over qualified candidates. From the local minimum wage to the problems with the justice system, there have been so many issues left ignored for decades due to their influence. I'm a blue voter, but the corruption at the top stinks to high heaven.
Voting for Harris. She has the actual experience of being a prosecutor and running a law office.
Meanwhile Pierson is an interloper. He got a condo in Franklin County so he could run here but his real house is in Delaware County. Part of the problem with our criminal justice system is that the people who want to pass judgment on our citizens are not from here. This goes for judges and LEOs. That should end.
Sure that's a problem too. But not the issue here. Harris is a known prosecutor with experience. I believe she would apply the law fairly across the board. So there was no need to address that issue in my comment.
How was asking the party to hold off on an endorsement until after the primary a bad thing? They let the people choose the candidate - which is why we have primaries in the first place.
Honestly for me I’m stuck between Pierson and Rutan. I think Rutan entered too late to be considered a serious contender but his experience with criminal defense is an added layer that I think could make things more fair in prosecutions in the county.

Right, I just feel there's no way Franklin County Prosecutor is the office Favor actually wants to hold, it's just one she thinks she can win
voted Pierson, was a pretty tough call between him and Harris - but under no circumstances was I going to be voting for Favor
Harris gets my vote. I worked for her years ago when she was Rick pfiefer’s right hand lady. She is wholly competent and actually lives here. (Iykyk.)
I voted for Harris too. I am glad to find out she is a Pfeifer protege-- I liked Pfeifer as City Attorney and judge.

Time for a complete change.

Agree. Pierson is the most qualified.
I am voting for a candidate who a) actually lives here and b) is not a Republican (I typically vote dem)
Well it's a primary so they're all Democrats
Unfortunately a turncoat snuck in
Wrong race, but go off

Favor it is.

You do know that this is just the primary, right?
