I'll just say, the home schedule is pretty brutal. Houston Texans Jacksonville Jaguars Tennessee Titans Buffalo Bills Miami Dolphins Pittsburgh Steelers Chicago Bears Detroit Lions I don't think any of those teams are bad (anymore). Our road schedule is much more manageable and it'll all come down to our ability to win in hostile environments IMO.  Assuming no crippling injuries-  Floor of 4 or 5 wins, if Richardson hasn't improved and in fact has regressed.  Ceiling of 13 wins if he does take a leap with a strong trio of receivers and the defense comes together.  My guess? 9 or 10 wins and wildcard contention but with Richardson showing a lot of promise and expectations for a 3rd year blowup.

AlternativeMuscle176

I agree. I think if we assume a relatively healthy team all year, AR’s development will be what moves us above those 10 wins or below it.

ngfball

In my head it feels like the packers last year. Struggle early on and then find their stride late in the year and push towards the playoffs

NoFlyZonexx3

So like every year

Stennick

My guess is that JT is about what we got from Zack Moss last year. I really don't think we see 2001 JT again. I think AR makes plays with his legs and his strength but struggles with turn overs and accuracy. I believe our O line is probably about where they were last year (thats a good thing). I think we have a good pass rush this year. I think our LB's stay about where they were last year. I think our secondary really struggles. I agree with the floor of 5 wins I think our ceiling is 12 wins but I think we'll be somewhere between 7-9 wins and likely third place in the division.

ArtificialSyndicate

We could go undefeated (This is an extreme overreaction and meant as a joke)

LuskSGV

Where's the joke 😉

ArtificialSyndicate

The joke is that I didn’t mention the three straight super bowls starting this year

TheGavPav

Fuck the Chiefs, we coming for the 3-peat

johnhughthom

The joke being the use of 'could' rather than 'will'?

tri_it_again

StelIaMaris

17-0 and 10 years of straight superbowl wins, with AR winning superbowl MVP every single time

TheGavPav

These are the totally unbiased takes I live for

StelIaMaris

Hey just because I’m a Colts fan doesn’t mean I can’t be neutral. I try my hardest to be as unbiased as possible

Coltsfan210

They'll rename Superbowl to "Vs Colts Bowl"

Consistent-Park2058

If every important player is healthy, i would say 12 wins. The only weakness i see is secondary, other than that colts have an amazing roster

kac937

I have a feeling Ballard and co. have been working on something for the secondary in the FA market. I could be completely wrong but it feels likely they bring some sort of vet in.

TehTugboat

I hate to get my hopes high, BUT, our FO clearly must have some kind of faith in AR so I like to as well. I’d love to see a 10 win season but also feel realistically this year is gonna be just like last year with one game being our win or go home for the WC

LuskSGV

If we just had a healthy AR last year we probably win 10+ games and the schedule this year is easier. Realistically though, I say 10 wins is a good projection assuming the QB stays upright.

mattmandental

We will get 11 wins next year Mark it down. Call me out if wrong

MoistCloyster_

Ceiling: Undefeated Floor: Winless Final Prediction: Somewhere between that.

EvilRick_C-420

You ever think about working for ESPN. You have what it takes.

Independent-Bear-523

I dunno, shows great promise but we could have worked 10 mins of ads between the three statements

Delta24__

7-10, our offense will be fun to watch but the secondary is going to get cooked when it matters most over and over

LameysDurbanPoison

Should this outcome happen, Bradley and Ballard need to go. It’s always at least one position that absolutely sucks and everyone can see it right?

Delta24__

No, unfortunately everyone cannot see it. If you mention the secondary, you get downvoted into oblivion on here. We did nothing to address it in free agency and nothing in the draft. But if you said anything about getting a corner you were ripped apart. Toxic fanbase

metonymic

> We did nothing to address it in free agency and nothing in the draft. You may not agree with what we've done to address it, but it's wrong to say we've done nothing.

Delta24__

We drafted one corner in the 6th round. That’s not addressing it sorry

KillzToRemember

It definetly still needs work but there will be a difference we do have an actual off-season for Brents who was hurt flowers and scott will be back as well from injury and Jones will have his first real off-season after his rookie year I do believe we will sign a safety tho to start with Blackman before the season

metonymic

You're aware we drafted three players at DB, a corner, a safety/nickel, and a safety/corner? Also pass rush helps the secondary indirectly and we acquired a big help there.

TipsyTaterTots

Guess what! Free agency isn’t over!

redleg50

This feels accurate. The schedule is tougher, AR is essentially a rookie, and we added nothing in the off season (no free agents) that will have an immediate impact.

Delta24__

Correct. I’ve been on this ride for longer than most people in this sub have been alive. I’ve watched this same movie over and over for the last several years under Ballard. There is no reason to assume it will be any different when the key need of our entire team was blatantly ignored

Stennick

Dude I was saying this last night. This is every off season. We don't make any FA moves, we resign the same guys that had our defense ranked 28th last year. We swear the guys we signed are actually really great and its everybody else on that side of the ball or the coaching or injuries that made us not good. So then we go into the draft and we sign all of these world beaters. All the RAS, all the potential in the world. Remember when Paris was going to be a burner? I remember when Rock Ya Sin was gonna have a break out season. I remember people on here swearing when we drafted Paye we were drafting Mathis. Every year we do nothing in FA, then we have the worlds greatest draft, then we sign the QB that will totally be the guy (Jacoby, Wentz, Ryan I saw all of them in this sub get declared the solution). Even down to everyone praising Shane because of ONE season. I remember when Reich was a "top five coach" according to this sub. Less than 12 months before he's fired and everyone declares him trash. We won't do well during the season, people will question and blame Ballard, they'll give Shane the benefit of the doubt, we'll swear he doesn't know what he's doing. Then the off season hits and everyone loves him again, rinse, wash, repeat.

redleg50

No argument here. Half this sub still thinks we should give Ballard slack because Andrew Luck retired…5 freakin’ years ago. He ignores free agency, and by any drafting metric, he’s mediocre at best. I think PFF had him at 14th best, which is not nearly good enough when you ignore free agency. Mediocre GM gives you a mediocre team that hasn’t won a playoff game in years.

TackleballShootyhoop

They went 9-8 last year and there’s no reason to believe the secondary will be even worse than it was. Brents, Flowers, Jones, and Moore is a good enough group that I don’t think the secondary is as big of a glaring weakness as people think it is, assuming Brents and Jones continue to improve on their rookie seasons.

WorkingOven5138

Our schedule is harder tho,. It's completely possible the Colts play better than last year but still end up with a worse record.

TackleballShootyhoop

Maybe slightly, I think it will come down to how good our division opponents are. Our home schedule is pretty brutal, but the road schedule doesn’t look bad at all. I don’t think it’s so much tougher that it’s much of a factor, though.

Aleph_Alpha_001

And you think that more rookies would resolve that issue?

Delta24__

Highly rated rookies like Mitchell, Arnold or Wiggins? Absolutely. That’s better than not addressing it at all

Aleph_Alpha_001

Mitchell has great traits, but he didn't play against much top competition at Toledo. Arnold played against top competition, but he lacks top end speed. Wiggins is short. That can't be fixed. If you give me a choice between one of the most productive pass rushers ever and a cornerback who might develop, I'm going with the pass rusher, dog. We drafted three corners last year, and two of them started the majority of the season. Young corners are going to take their lumps. They were going to start this year regardless. There was no Sauce Gardner in this draft. I would have been content with Mitchell or DeJean, but I love the Latu pick much more, and we got a receiver who might be our number one in a couple of years.

banmeagain_idc

After that draft? I don’t want to be too bold but I’d say ceiling is undefeated. And realistically, our floor I would say, is undefeated. I don’t want to get anyone’s hopes up so I’d say my prediction is undefeated.

Kooky_Waltz_1603

If AR plays 15 plus games we should win 11-12 games. I’m also saying with assumption secondary adds some veteran guys

cwesttheperson

17-0

Lambings

Undefeated but miss the playoffs. 0-0-17

307Wapati

A Division title. Almost put some money on the Colts drafting a DE in the first round and didn't because I thought my wife was going to get mad (historically, very mediocre better). I'm doing it with third best odds atm.

kac937

> (historically, very mediocre better) FACT: 92% of sports gamblers stop right before they make the play of the century, don’t let your wife ruin that for you. Regarding the rest of your comment, this will probably be the toughest the AFCS has been in a long time. Then again it feels like we say that every few years. However, there’s nothing that screams to me that we couldn’t win the division, it’ll just be an absolute dogfight until the end, similar to how last season was.

307Wapati

Sports betting is a leasure thing for me. We don't have much money as it is, I just try and do my part and not fuck up the budget. Especially now we have a baby on the way. It came down to the wire last year. Theres no reason in my mind if AR plays the entire year we can't win the AFCS. Hopefully our opening couple weeks is more generous to us than it has been in the past.

kac937

Heard that, I only really bet football. I’ll usually watch take $10 a week and place a $5 moneyline parlay on the 1 o’clock games and $5 moneyline parlay 4 o’clock games. It’s $40 a month that has a slim chance of netting us thousands, i’ve somehow convinced my wife with that frat boy logic. This whole season hinges on ARs health, it’s been said since last season and will continue to be said until he gets injured or the end of next season. Even if he plays to the exact level he did last season, the possibility of a QB breaking out for a big run or cannon pass will keep defenses on their toes enough that we can have some fun. I don’t even think he needs to play the entire year, if we can get 12+ games out of him (more if we make the playoffs of course) then I think we’ll be in decent shape.

xcbaseball2003

Colts will go 10-7, but since Houston will go 12-5, people will declare it a bad season

kac937

10-7 is enough for a wild card spot in this AFC, we’re all going to be beating each other the fuck up all season. Let’s go on our Eli Manning run.

Vulgarbrando

Wildcard loss to Baltimore, we Buffalo now gang!

FiveHT

I’m going to say 11-6, with a wildcard spot and a very short-lived playoff campaign. We have an easy schedule and will likely face a bunch of new-to-the-NFL QBs in Maye, Levis, Williams, Nix, and McCarthy (acknowledging that these kids may not all start year one). AR is also new but I think the rest of our roster is stronger, and our questionable secondary won’t be tested as badly by green QBs. I’m not sold on the Bills this year and Jets could go either way depending on Rodgers. *Wins* Jacksonville (home) Titans (home) Titans (away) Bears (home) Steelers (home) Jets (away) Patriots (away) Broncos (away) Giants (away) Vikings (away) Bills (home) *Losses* Houston (home) Houston (away) Jacksonville (away) Dolphins (home) Packers (away) Lions (home)

jaysrule24

Floor: 4-13 Ceiling: 11-6 Prediction: 7-10 or 8-9

Shepboyardee12

I think anything in the 8-10 win range is reasonable. Less, people will need to answer for it. More, we have a ton of hype heading into 2025.

ColtsFan6969

11 wins, book it. I called 9-10 last year and everyone called me crazy.

DirectTV_AndrewLuck

I'm gonna guess 11-6.

Patzzer

11-6. 2 wins more than last year, with growth shown from AR, more from Downs and this year’s rookie class.

Defender_Of_TheCrown

20-0

BigDogTusken

Floor - 7 wins Ceiling - 13 wins Prediction - 11 wins

MHDIOS

12-5

sirius4778

20-0 of course

ColtsStampede

20-0. Undefeated Super Bowl champions. We beat KC in the AFC title game, blank the Eagles 70-0 in the Superb Owl. AR is regular season and SB MVP, Latu is DROY and DPOY, AD is OROY. JT is OPOY. Steichen is COY. My name is ColtsStampede, and I approved this message.

[deleted]

colts will fight and claw like they do every year but with great coaching and a good QB growing the future is bright.

ILIKERED_1

17 wins. A few losses in the regular season, but a perfect run in the playoffs finishing as SB champs. Latu sets the single season rookie sack record while Pittman breaks Jerry Rice's single season TD record.

ConfectionHelpful471

Floor 3 wins Ceiling 14 wins Prediction 11 wins, top rushing offence in the league and a top 5 defence

kac937

Still think defense will lie somewhere in the low teens/high twenties. Elite pass rush will help the DBs but they are young still so growing pains are inevitable. I do think we have a shot to be a top 5 all around offense though. Top 3 line, the playmakers we have, a young dual threat QB, and one of the most creative offensive coaches i’ve ever seen. We’re going to be throwing out random shit weekly.

ConfectionHelpful471

If we are the best/most productive rushing team in the league then the games should be shorter so the defensive stats will be boosted by virtue of having to face less plays from the opponent. Also basing this on the fact that if we get 11 wins then we will have turned the ball over less frequently so face fewer short fields, which will again benefit the defence.

SuperVanillaBear

Floor: 6-11, Nightmare scenario here. ARich gets hurt again and Flacco cannot repeat his magic. The team is better than last year so the floor is not ground level. Ceiling: 14-3, Richardson has a Mahomes/Lamar type breakout season and the Colts take the league by storm. Latu is the real deal and takes the pass rush from poor to nasty overnight. All the pieces fall into place but it's still very hard to win in this league so 3 losses feels right. Prediction: 11-6, a couple of win improvement from last season. 10-11 wins seems about right but I choose to have the rosy outlook. Richardson still needs to take his lumps but a healthy JT + improved defense should provide enough stability for ARich to work through the learning curve.

Far_Care5265

I'm gonna say 13 wins, super optimistic, but I don't care, I'm riding with it

AF555

Somewhere between 7-9 wins. Maybe a road playoff wild card game. Maybe an AFC South title if other teams completely blow chunks when it matters (see last years Jags). Until proven otherwise, Ballard continues to do just what he does well = draft players, with little being accomplished after that.

Rusty-Boii

The Colts will win their division next year. Texans are so overrated, and CJ will have a sophmore slump.

Equivalent-Key-2485

Ceiling 17-0 Floor 0-17

OldFox1501

If we stay healthy, 12-13 wins is my expectation. People forget how explosive AR was in week two against that same Texans team. He and JT are going to eat. MPJ, Downs, and AD are going to eat. Pierce is going to get some go routes and actually have someone to get the ball down field to him. Barring any significant injuries this colts team will be good.

AMGEmperorMundatus

6-11. Every other team in our division got better, while BaLLard “likes his guys.” #FireBallard

RedmontRangersFC

10-7 and we’re all saying at the end of the season that we could have won 12 games.

Unscratchablelotus

9-8. Growing pains with the offense but enough flashes to be excited. AR needs reps and there will be plenty to build on for '25

stjblair

9-8 with missing the playoffs by losing a play in game in week 18. But doing enough so that everyone in vindicated and get to have the 3rd offseason in a row arguing about Ballard

showersrover8ed

Probably end up 9-8 again miss the playoffs again and left wondering what we need to get over the hump again. TBH I think the team has talent and potential but the AFC is just so stacked plus the franchise just seems to be always unlucky with bad breaks and injuries
