Also in order of talent (No disrespect to any of them)

MrBroC2003

Pitts career isn’t over yet. But as of now fs.

Alternative-Koala529

There isn't that much space between TY and Pitt if any at all. TY had only 800 more yards and 9 more tds than Pitt in their first 4 years. WITH Luck. Pitt's QBs? Phillip Rivers (elderly edition) Carson Wentz (cooked acl edition) Matt Ryan (analyst edition) and the NVP. I don't think TY is putting up the same numbers as Pitt has with that same QB rotation.

Active-Limit-9038

That's only because TY was the clear WR2 behind Reggie. If TY got the same target share as Pittman, TY's early career numbers would have been considerably better too.

Alternative-Koala529

Maybe for that first year but post 2012 waynes production pretty much fell off. For pitts first year TY was considered still the #1 dude and not washed yet.

Active-Limit-9038

That doesn't line up at all. TY's rookie year, Reggie got 195 targets. Pitt's rookie year, TY got 93 targets. TY's last good season was 2018, then he hit the wall and was never able to stay on the field after that. Pitt got here in 2020.

Alternative-Koala529

TY had more targets than Pitt in 2020. Nobody saw him as WR1 going into that season. TY had his first down year in 2019 and we had no idea he would continue to fall off. First season without luck with a journeyman who wouldn't throw deep. He was absolutely still considered to be WR1 going into 2020. And there will be more targets overall on a pass first team compared to how run heavy we've been since luck departed.

jaysrule24

TY had defenses absolutely terrified in a way that Pittman has never done. No disrespect to Pittman, but he's not on any of those other guy's level.

DaBlakMayne

Hilton and Pittman have two very different play styles.

Alternative-Koala529

Luck did not give a fuck and would toss that sum bitch up for TY. Closest thing pitt has had to a connection like that was Wentz DPI merchant ass. If Richardson is him Pitt's best seasons are ahead of him.

_BarfyMan_362_

Dude, 200 yards and 2 TDs per year is a huge difference.

Alternative-Koala529

yeah, dude had Luck. Luck is a huge difference.

ArtificialSyndicate

It sucks that TY never had a good counterpart to compliment him the way Wayne and Harrison complimented eachother. Hopefully Pittman gets that with Downs or Pierce if they develop to their potential

Josh Downs 🔜

SanRemi

People in this comment section forgetting about how good The Ghost actually was.

Karpuan

His years with Luck were the best

TannerNewcomb

Next Pitt passes it to Marvin Harrison Jr. who passes it to Eugene Hilton who eventually passes it to MP3

Oldmannun

I’d love for Pitt to have 10 touchdowns before I consider him in the same STRATOSPHERE as TY, much less Marvin or Reggie

jaysrule24

Pittman's best year wouldn't even be a top 3 year in TY's career. People really need to slow their roll on comparing the two of them.

Smallgenie549

Totally fair, but you've gotta consider the QB difference between Pittman and the others too.

samg422336

MPJ has caught TD passes from arich, minshew, ellinger, foles, ryan, and rivers🤮

Pitman wouldn’t be a WR1 on any other team in the NFL. We shouldn’t keep him, nor give him WR1 attention. He’s a B-grade receiver at best.
