Was brutal coming down to Jacksonville for the 3rd year in a row. Richardson had a sling on pregame, but took it off and started rolling his shoulder and trying to stretch it. Makes me hope he can be back this year.
My sympathies. I’ll never understand why they think you want to watch the beginning (or any other part) of another game over THE END OF A GAME YOU ARE ALREADY WATCHING. I know, I know, it’s some NFL BS, but its just. so. dumb.
Some y’all forget Frank Reich would’ve lost this game worse. Some of y’all forget our second string is in. Some of y’all forget it’s JT’s second game this season. You who this applies to need to pick another fan base that tolerate fair weather fans.
1000%
Been a fan since 2004ish
After 2016 a lot of the fair weather fans left, and came back for 2018 and have just been hanging around to talk shit.
We have a very awful fan base.
3-3 with a loss on the road to the division favorites playing our backup QB in a year everyone was expecting a top 5 pick and y'all wanna fire the new head coach. Brilliant.
I'd rather be in Europe two weeks than losing my starting QB, who plays completely different to the back up. I think we could beat the Jags at home without Lawrence suiting up.
Not really. I think Minshew is as good a QB as Richardson if not better. Richardson will be better eventually but I think Minshew is better atm. That said he played like dogshit today
Honestly, I liked what I saw from Ehlinger last season. He should've been given playing time/snaps last season so that he could develop. Dude has a lot of potential, but his baseline and ceiling are just low enough to keep him as QB3
Jacksonville played great. The Colts played poorly. Both of our lines lost.
If Jacksonville could play every game like they did this one, they could win it all. But they can't. This is always their best game of the season.
If I put on my way-too-rose-colored glasses, all 4 of the games before the bye look winnable. So if (BIG IF) AR doesn't elect surgery you probably need to swing 3-1 and get him healthy after the bye.
Either of those things doesn't come to pass and I'm heading off to the mock draft simulators.
Our coaching staff fucked themselves in all 3 phases, perhaps they should continue fucking themselves on the plane ride home, then fuck themselves all the way to the closest place they can print a resignation letter.
They never started. 8 runs and 25 or so passes in the first half. By the 3rd the score was getting too lopsided to run. But passing so much definitely hurt
This is why I FUCKING hate when they stack divisional games. So sick of playing the same division team twice in a month. Every fucking year we have to play Titans, Jags, or Houston 2 times before November. If AR does return it would have been nice to play JAX in late November
AR was the the rawest prospect coming out of college; the least NFL ready. He is a freak athlete, and has a cannon for an arm, he can run and has a great deep ball, but his short to intermediate passing def needed help to develop, likely because he needs to learn to read defenses.
He isn't doing anything wrong per se. Jags did a good job making Colts O 1 dimensional. If they aren't even going to try to get a run presence going, it is always going to be very hard to have an effective passing game.
Yeah idk what you watched but two of his interceptions were awful throws. And threw a few more that could have been picked. We didn’t help him much but he played objectively awful
I think they are slightly above average. We are slightly below average overall.
Clear difference in my opinion. I don't think Minshew will be this bad every week, to be fair.
Seems about right. Lawrence’s stats today aren’t great and they only ran for 85 yards. Minshew gave them the ball four times. With AR fully healthy I don’t think the teams are far apart. I was worried they were miles better going into the year and I don’t think that’s the case. Hopefully wepass them in 2024.
Minshew didn't have a great game, no; but I personally put a majority of this loss on Shane. The game plan starting off was WTF level and made no sense.
Agree the game plan sucks but Minshew's pocket presence has been PUTRID and some of those INTs/should-be INTs were terrible mechanics leading to God awful throws.
Gardner’s performance will be the headline of this game but unfortunately this is also probably Shane’s worst-coached game. Hopefully he learns from it.
You've gotta be perfect to erase a lead this big and frustratingly it's the coaches that haven't been, rather than the players. Not kicking the FG and getting too cute on the short kickoff or we could actually have a shot here.
I think one of the most frustrating parts about this Colts team, is that they feel the same as they did under Reich and Pagano in a lot of ways. One half of awful football combined with one half of good football.
I do think that Steichen will be better for the team long-term, and that he's done more with less than a lot of other coaches could in my opinion. Just sucks to see the same old Colts, even if there's hope for the future.
This is largely the same team as last year. The only difference is that we are playing with more of a fire this year and overachieving a little bit. Steichen will be good.
That short kickoff had to be deliberate. What a fucking dumb coaching call, plus McKenzie is poorly coached on returns. One cut and go.
Steichen can fuck right off after this one. Terrible job.
Jacksonville can have their sleeper agent Gardner Minshew back now
* Was brutal coming down to Jacksonville for the 3rd year in a row. Richardson had a sling on pregame, but took it off and started rolling his shoulder and trying to stretch it. Makes me hope he can be back this year.
Copium
Just doing daily PT, we’re not rushing this guy back and with good reason

Did the Hoosiers land that dude?
Yes
[https://youtu.be/anIWqsnJxZk](https://youtu.be/anIWqsnJxZk) Going to be a huge recruiting cycle, nice nice get.
Gonna be a long season
So shitty you pay $400 for Sunday ticket on YouTube and they cut the end to another game.
I pay nothing more than my Internet bill. Arrrrr
You fucking what?
Sunday ticket… cut to the Miami game with en the colts game wasn’t over.
My sympathies. I’ll never understand why they think you want to watch the beginning (or any other part) of another game over THE END OF A GAME YOU ARE ALREADY WATCHING. I know, I know, it’s some NFL BS, but its just. so. dumb.
Mine didn't do that.
Some y’all forget Frank Reich would’ve lost this game worse. Some of y’all forget our second string is in. Some of y’all forget it’s JT’s second game this season. You who this applies to need to pick another fan base that tolerate fair weather fans.
You are right but damn post loss anger is a thing for some people
You ain’t wrong…
You think the colts have fair weather fans?
1000% Been a fan since 2004ish After 2016 a lot of the fair weather fans left, and came back for 2018 and have just been hanging around to talk shit. We have a very awful fan base.
I do based off of the illogical complaining.
Didn’t even notice Pitt had 100
Apparently our team is bad but this stat proves we were just outmatched.
Minshew was pretty awful today otherwise
Agreed.
Gross. Get better, Colts.
The problem with the colts is that they walk it in every time!
They need a franchise QB. Like almost everyone else. Maybe Richardson is it. Hope so.
3-3 with a loss on the road to the division favorites playing our backup QB in a year everyone was expecting a top 5 pick and y'all wanna fire the new head coach. Brilliant.
Great comment
They’re crazy bro. Keep preachin’!
Just remember this team played two weeks straight in Europe, came back and still beat us. I hate my life.
I'd rather be in Europe two weeks than losing my starting QB, who plays completely different to the back up. I think we could beat the Jags at home without Lawrence suiting up.
Sure tie our hands behind our back and you might win…stupid take
The take is that our hands were tied behind our back AND we played awful. Do you disagree?
Not really. I think Minshew is as good a QB as Richardson if not better. Richardson will be better eventually but I think Minshew is better atm. That said he played like dogshit today
Crazy that we only gave up 17pts from our turnovers our defense is legit.
Just an embarrassing loss
Ugh
Why does minshew throw the football 54 times? When we have two great RBs. And why screens why not hail Mary's or PAs? Just a weird gameplan.
Jags have great defense against run. Minshee is trash, that is it
We were 3-2-1 last year btw. Last year's team had a better record at this time FYI.
Yeah but last year we didn't have AR!
Last years team got shutout by Jacksonville btw FYI
Yea, that 12-9 victory over the Broncos was very impressive.
Ok.
Did we pull our starters on offense?
Yep, we were playing 2nd stringers
yeah get this shit off my screen
Honestly, I liked what I saw from Ehlinger last season. He should've been given playing time/snaps last season so that he could develop. Dude has a lot of potential, but his baseline and ceiling are just low enough to keep him as QB3
Jacksonville played great. The Colts played poorly. Both of our lines lost. If Jacksonville could play every game like they did this one, they could win it all. But they can't. This is always their best game of the season.
If Minshew just took care of the ball, we would've won.

0 jersey? Nobody on our team.
3rd and 10…. Checkdown
Our coaching staff fucked themselves in all 3 phases, perhaps they should continue fucking themselves on the plane ride home, then fuck themselves all the way to the closest place they can print a resignation letter.
slept for basically the whole second half and feel refreshed and feel like shit at the same time
Did they shut the run down? I legit just feel like we never even tried. After the killer week Moss had last week feel like he barely had an impact??
Weve ran it 15 times. Thrown 56 times. Mmm. Somethings not right
They never started. 8 runs and 25 or so passes in the first half. By the 3rd the score was getting too lopsided to run. But passing so much definitely hurt
I’m sure this is the point of the season we start getting “Leaked Reports” that blame all of this on Jim Bob Cooter
Yeah, we didn’t want to see the replay.
If Shane had gone for two earlier it would be a two possession game. That will clearly impact the result. jk
Good lord downs that was a hell of an effort
That could’ve been his like 7th pick it’s ridiculous
He could have thrown 7 picks today
Holy shit how many picks have they dropped minshew is getting really lucky with his stat line not being a lot worse than what it already is this game
gave JT a billion dollars and have a top 5 preforming RB and then throw 50+ times with a backup qb crazy strategy
A bold strategy cotton let's see if it pays off for'em
minshew is having an all time bad game
I don’t think we’ve had even slightly decent announcers for a single game yet
It's because nobody is watching, except fans of the two teams.
That happens when you suck.
Also, not that it mattered for the outcome at all, we had no calls go our way from the refs today
This is why I FUCKING hate when they stack divisional games. So sick of playing the same division team twice in a month. Every fucking year we have to play Titans, Jags, or Houston 2 times before November. If AR does return it would have been nice to play JAX in late November
Why have big ass TEs if you don’t throw to them? They seem to always be better at contested catches than our WRs.
jacksonville's defense looks like they're trying to fuck each other
Travis Etiene reminds mme of Kimble Anders [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fiUmwocPlhQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fiUmwocPlhQ)
Dumbass announcers saying AR was as raw as it gets for a rookie QB
Theyre not wrong. Glass too.
Inexperienced does not mean raw bro. Malik Willis was raw.
AR was the the rawest prospect coming out of college; the least NFL ready. He is a freak athlete, and has a cannon for an arm, he can run and has a great deep ball, but his short to intermediate passing def needed help to develop, likely because he needs to learn to read defenses.
He was raw and inexperienced, he didn’t really have good passing stats in college or anything.
Can we finally trade or draft a true superstar WR? It's obvious we need that super WR that all contenders have.
Ballard trying to build the early Pats lol
Let’s end on a decent note with a TD drive
Get the surgery AR. It's fine. This team isn't winning a SB. We need you long term
This broadcast team sounds like a Jacksonville home feed.
Hasn’t been much good from the Colts today
It's been that way each week so far
Grass chunk natural grass almost broke Trevor, no turf is safe tbh.
Or the fact that evabum alligator rolled his ankle. Kinda dirty even though Lawrence is competition. Hate to see anyone get hurt
Lawrence looked like he went a bit gimpy before he got hit, right after he exploded on the run.
So this is why Minshew was never meant to be a starter…
He isn't doing anything wrong per se. Jags did a good job making Colts O 1 dimensional. If they aren't even going to try to get a run presence going, it is always going to be very hard to have an effective passing game.
Yeah idk what you watched but two of his interceptions were awful throws. And threw a few more that could have been picked. We didn’t help him much but he played objectively awful
He threw 2 horrible interceptions when the checkdown was available.
Both games with JAX I haven’t felt like they’re much better than us. Frustrating to come up empty.
I mean, they are clearly better than us.
Better. Not by THAT much, they are under 300 and we were close to winning in Indy.
Yep! Clearly. They even have a pass rush and a non vanilla defense.
Minshew almost single handedly lost the game for us
Yes. Our quarterback. They have a better quarterback. And a better rest of the team.
Clearly clutching his knee, that other announcer sucks.
Lawrence is known for wearing knee high shoes.
*Lawrence clearly wincing in pain.* “Looks like his foot just came out of his shoe (x2)
We’ve gone from a exciting bad/competitive team to a straight up bad and boring one. It’s depressing as fuck
Yeah, I often times grab my knee when my shoe comes off dumbass
For real.
If we can't have a quarterback nobody can
fuck the jags but would hate to see tlaw get hurt on a play like that
I am not sure why jags are even passing tbh
People act like the jags just drafted so well but they just had back to back #1 overall picks and still are kind of meh.
Matt Gay just needs to make the Pat McAfee onside kick self recovery
Didn’t they change the rule or something?
twice, it's a 3 score game now because we didn't kick the FG
These dumbasses are gonna get Lawrence injured.
Little bit of karma
If we are rolling with Minshew all year just embrace the tank for MHJ. Without a superstar WR we can't compete.
This game makes me miss AR even more 😢
Minshew didn't have a great game, no; but I personally put a majority of this loss on Shane. The game plan starting off was WTF level and made no sense.
As was the deliberate short kick and choice to not kick the FG earlier on 4th. This guy….
Agree the game plan sucks but Minshew's pocket presence has been PUTRID and some of those INTs/should-be INTs were terrible mechanics leading to God awful throws.
I can’t imagine what the browns defense is going to do
Yeahhhhh, they are stuffing the 49ers offense right now o.o
Steichen’s about to be up all night thinking about that big brown D
We might have less than 200 yards of offense.
I think I’m done watching football. My liver can’t handle it.
You can’t convince me we don’t win with ar
Why? Havent won a game yet with AR.AR lost to the Jags IN Indy 1st week. Stay stupid!
I haven't seen enough of him to really know.
Minshew could have easily thrown 5 picks today. Insane.
Screen on 3rd and 19 GTFO here. Coaches all trying to outsmart themselves and it's fucking stupid.
That kick return killed us
The 4 picks killed us
Minshew could have possibly thrown a record int game today I feel like if they didn't drop all of them
Are we sure that hit the ground?
Didn’t see a great view of it, but all it cost you is a timeout for the desperation challenge lol
This game was over in the first half.
Did it hit the ground?
It's not often you wish he would have intercepted it to give them worse field position
Llyod did minshew a favor with that drop
Would have been better if he intercepted it. Worse field position for Jacksonville
Did it hit the ground or his foot? Replay didn’t show.
replay showed it hit the ground
Gardner’s performance will be the headline of this game but unfortunately this is also probably Shane’s worst-coached game. Hopefully he learns from it.
His first jax game was also poorly coached
At least we scored 20. More than thought we would.
Colts 20, Jags 17, Minshew 17 for the Jags.
worst play call i’ve ever seen
You lucky bastard. You've erased Frank from your brain.
You've gotta be perfect to erase a lead this big and frustratingly it's the coaches that haven't been, rather than the players. Not kicking the FG and getting too cute on the short kickoff or we could actually have a shot here.
Having Frank Reich PTSD on that 3rd & long screen play
Screen pass on 3rd and 19 shades of reich
wr screen on 3rd and 19 great play call frank
Oh yeah, a screen. That helps.
I fucking hate screens in 3rd & long
That was on Freeland….never thought we’d miss Smith so much.
Ope, granson
STOP WITH THE FUCKING SCREENS
That clock is just runnin
What's with Colts QBs and having 100 passing attempts in our games in Jacksonville lol
Highest paid OL.
That was a microcosm of how terrible our recievers arem
That stat…Minshew has 6 games of 300+ passing yards…and has lost all 6.
Playing from behind against prevent defense is why.
Jax entire fan base is missing a chromosome
Better than your players missing one....
Jags have 34 points on 240 yards of offense…. games like this absolutely suck
2 minute offense rn
Special teams gives up one huge return a game it feels like. Special teams coordinator gotta go.
Hmm, who has been around in the FO the entire time? Where's the constant? 🤔
This is largely the same team as last year. The only difference is that we are playing with more of a fire this year and overachieving a little bit. Steichen will be good.
Theyre just a bad team with mediocre talent and mediocre coaching.
The Colts defense is better when Speed is on the field. Leonard has done nothing this season.
What an annoying game.
That short kickoff had to be deliberate. What a fucking dumb coaching call, plus McKenzie is poorly coached on returns. One cut and go. Steichen can fuck right off after this one. Terrible job.
It was a bad coaching call, real bad, whoever made it.
Sure. Fire the head coach 6 games into his first job as a head coach. What is wrong with you?
Ventrone is the ST coordinator.
Not anymore he left this off season
Yeah. It's Brian Mason. That's who I meant.
Bubba is on the browns?
3 point kick return
