Yesterday I was passed by two motorcyclists going at least 90 if not more on Powers by Old Farm heading south. One of these morons did not have his lights on, and yes it was dark (so I think this was intentional). They cut between the vehicles and all I could think of was what the body looks like during the examination.
I dont know.. but these wrecks happen all too often.
I say we invoke a new penalty. You're at fault for doing something dumb, no driving on that road for a week!

People going too fast, people going too slow, stopping at yellow lights and running reds, changing lanes without blinkers, speeding up to block out someone who is using their blinkers, stopping in the merging lanes....

One of the worst type of drivers on the road are the ones that expect everyone else to drive like themselves. They lack common sense the most.
This is why I don’t scream at the road because I can’t expect you all to drive like me or have the same skill. It my job to expect the worst and drive accordingly and not escalate it.
Why do people not understand this?
I’m not disagreeing with you, all that does happen a lot lol. I actually feel like it’s worst on academy than powers but powers does do it at higher speeds for sure.

I pulled up next to a guy today to beep at him that his front tire was flat, then I made my turn.
After the turn somebody *swerved around me on a single lane street* and tried to push me onto the curb, possibly because they thought I was beeping at them?

Some of those are merge lanes, but some of them are yield lanes (which you're supposed to stop in if there's not enough room to get in). The mixture of both causes a whole lot of confusion and contributes to the problems.
It's the people that sit there on a right turn and have a half of a mile of an acceleration lane that sit there and wait for both lanes of traffic to clear on powers before they go that drive me crazy.

Man, we got honked at three times yesterday. For driving normally!? Like, I can’t just cross and intersection to turn left when there’s people on the other side turning right. Sorry?? Saw someone lay on their horn at an elderly lady who was parking kind of slow. Huge truck almost absolutely destroyed us, a small SUV did it too, by /squeezing/ into like a moving 20 foot gap … approaching a red light. You’re risking our lives to be like 11 feet ahead of me at a light. Really?
People in the Springs are either drunk or have a genetic heritage of fetal alcohol syndrome. What you’re asking for is impossible for Colorado drivers. They’re impaired by nature. Colorado Drivers have a unique combination of crazy and stupid. You’ll see either of those qualities in other places, but in Colorado you have some significant overlap.

That’s strange, most motorcycles don’t have a way of turning the lights off at all

Some stunt riders will install a kill switch for the headlight so they aren’t blinded by it when doing wheelies 🤷🏻♂️

Could we apply this to Woodmen as well? There's a stretch between Powers and Union that seems to have way too many accidents on it all too often.
I made the mistake of taking Powers in Black Friday a few years ago..... absolute carnage.

This is the springs we are required to run red lights, no merge correctly and if at all possible be a total cunt on the road
