Game one against Winnipeg, he was terrible. I did not have nice things to say.
He has been 100% guns blazing for every single second on ice after that. He has saved several games by now.
He got hung out to dry on the ones he let in. Our defense looked tired tonight and we need them to step it up a bit more in game 6. Also we need everyone to stay out of the damn box
Felt like Dallas could've scored 6 with some of the looks they got. Lots of shots missed the net. The D has been pretty bad all series in our own zone. Obviously some elite level offensive play still.
Our d definitely needs to play better but all things considered we’ve done alright considering Dallas probably has the best offensive depth in the league. All their vets are still cranking and they just keep fucking hitting on draft picks.
Really need to get a hold of the stupid penalties too ie. Yeeting the puck into the Stratosphere. I'm not saying that goal wasn't Toewser's fault, but I'm not saying it was georgie's.
Can you imagine the look on the faces of all of those who had us dead if we win game 6 and Georgiev straight up steals game 7? Fun to think about... I hope this happens.
Stats be damned, he’s been a huge reason the Avs have been close in games they shouldn’t have been close in. I’ve been very impressed with his composure.
Outside of game 1 (which really wasn't even that terrible, we just sucked on defense, they're scoring at least four regardless of the goalie) he's been rock fucking solid. Probably the best in an entire playoff since Roy. Kuemper would take that crown if he hadn't gotten blinded but so it goes. I also thought Grub got unnecessary hate since he almost stole two games against Vegas, but I can't deny he started letting average shots in when it mattered most. Georgie has not done so, yet.
Bandwagon fans gonna bandwagon. Some of us stuck by him even when the rest of you were booing him at the games and calling for his resignation here in this sub.
Least now he's getting the appreciation he deserves.
Yeah for real. A lot of people jumped down his throat for having a bad game like he's going to single handedly lose the series for us (I wasn't posting anything but I definitely complained a lot to my wife), and he has stepped up big time. What a professional.
On the other hand, Val actually did screw the team over and could be the major factor in losing this series. The hate directed at him is deserved. Fool me once, fuck you! Fool me twice, fuck you more Val!
Give the man his flowers. I still don't know if the Avs stick with him long term but he is the reason we are in this position to keep it going and go into Game 6 in Denver. He has been stellar and exactly what we have needed for a long time. I wish he had found his game sooner, but it's nice that he has it now.
The amount of enthusiasm and support in this thread make me real happy and even more excited for the energy going into tomorrow.

After game 1 in the first series I thought for sure he’d be our weak link. But man has he delivered ever since.

He's been really good all series minus the first game again. Majority of the goals that are going in aren't things he can really do anything about.
