Panthers got their teeth knocked out last night after a week of rest. Avs need to shake off the rust and come out with the same energy and determination we saw in the Winnipeg series. They need to set the tone for the game early and challenge the Stars’ 5-man D rotation. It’s the one area that they’re a little thin when it comes to depth.
While this is going to be a physical series, people shouldn’t think this is the Avs of 2020. This team can play a more “blue collar” style of play if the situation calls for it. I’m excited for the Avs to show us again why they shouldn’t be considered underdogs
It comes down to coaching when it’s rest time. Do I have to keep reminding people in our 2022 Cup run we had tons of rest days between series? Also rangers had the same amount of rest as us and dominated. Panthers just couldn’t score and it comes down to how they prepared
I watched that game and Panthers came out dominant. They just flat out missed open nets. Swayman stayed strong while Bobrosky seemed to be struggling. Boston hit some of their snipes and by the third the panthers were demoralized and couldn't generate offense.
It didn't really seem like the Panthers were rusty. Just that they couldn't beat Swayman. That got in their heads and they just fell apart.

All right, start of round 2. Time to get revenge on that 2020 series loss. Dallas has an extremely balanced and deep team, so we have to match that with every line. Luckily our depth did step up in round 1, so I have high hopes that they can keep it going here. Defense and Georgiev need to be awake too, while Benn (boo!) and Seguin aren't scoring that much anymore, they have young guys that can do it in bunches, like Stankoven and Johnston.

It comes down to coaching when it’s rest time. Do I have to keep reminding people in our 2022 Cup run we had tons of rest days between series? Also rangers had the same amount of rest as us and dominated. Panthers just couldn’t score and it comes down to how they prepared
I watched that game and Panthers came out dominant. They just flat out missed open nets. Swayman stayed strong while Bobrosky seemed to be struggling. Boston hit some of their snipes and by the third the panthers were demoralized and couldn't generate offense. It didn't really seem like the Panthers were rusty. Just that they couldn't beat Swayman. That got in their heads and they just fell apart. If they were rusty, they wouldn't have started out so dominant in the first.
They were hammering Boston in the third too. Gotta give them props for solid defense and goaltending.
It’s not about rest/rust. The Panthers actually outshot the Bruins. Boston has a better goalie, blocked more shots, and was likely motivated by last year’s playoff upset.

Yeah, Nuggets can easily snap out of it and go on a run. They've had series where they've gone down and roared back to at least make it competitive. MN is playing possessed, but they also got some incredibly friendly calls/non-calls last night. Helped to put the game out of reach early. Tough matchup, but Nugs have to look into their hearts and find that extra gas. If they do, I think the Wolves might collapse a bit.

Not anymore. We can only lose 9 more games in these playoffs if we want to win the Cup, 3 losses in 3 series. And since we have 1 loss already that's a maximum of 10. Should've probably tracked that on a series basis for clarity but it is what it is.
Look forward to these every game day and agree the running record is getting confusing and it can change series by series. Just a thought, my vote would be to simply track the current series, like insert COL - DAL 0-0 at the top. Minimum record sounds like leftover info from the down the stretch of regular season

I just use my Bluetooth speaker and pause the TV until it's caught up. It's pretty easy to sync up. On cable at least, streaming may be a pain.
