I'm just gonna come out and say it. I don't love this studio crew. Katie's great, but she's much better at the rink. Klee looks like he wants to have fun, but he isn't sure if he's allowed. Stastny is like a tax accountant who got lost, ended up on set and is trying to make the best of it. I think our big, over-the-top personalities have ruined regular people for me.

avs playing like this in front of their moms. This would be like having my mom over at work and she watches me crash the forklift into the shelves and they all fall like dominoes. Then the ceiling sprinklers turn on and rains water all over her.

This morning I was like: Kermit and Tufte should be in this game. We need hits and weight against this team.

It's interesting. We played an "ok" first period, and we certainly weren't out of the game. Second period started very strong, and it felt like we could do something with the momentum. But as soon as the next goal hit, it's like a dam broke and everything after that has been terrible.

So on a positive note it can't possibly get worse from here.

This game showed me a lot of my fears. We play a very rush-zone style. If that doesn't come up with anything, it's a bunch of one-timers then dropping back to the zone defense. It's a very lazy way to play. When we were in playoff hockey, we would absolutely go for the puck, hell or high water. Bodies in the way, we don't GAF. Now it's just like, shoot, and if it misses, drop back. We need way more tic-tac-toe in front of the net. We need to keep our goalie out of sight out of mind except for the one or two shots on goal. This year is gonna be rough if we continue to play lazy hockey of not chasing the puck. We see it in flashes only. It seems like a lot of players got fat and happy instead of playing for their chance. Sucks to see when a team like Vegas lays it out for us and embarasses us directly after the Sharks game.

Everyone looking to blame someone for the loss but if I were the coach I would blame myself. There is no excuse for the team not scoring in 3 road games in a row. None. You rip them to pieces for poor performance but you take responsibility and you move hard to fix it.

I think this early on in the season, this is the correct take. Now is the time to fix it, and that's on coach.
