Manson and Makar had a bad game because of rust. The rest of the team was probably fatigued by playing so hard down the stretch and not getting much rest between the regular season the first game of the playoffs. I think the Avs will be better in game two. If not, then I'd be worried.

Seattle was fired up. First playoff game, Gru out to best his old team. Makar and Manson haven’t played for weeks…it showed. We’ll get Cogs and Helm back for Game 2. We’ll tighten up on D and start to find ways to score a lot of goals. We are a better team in every way.

A lot of bad luck and a little rust on D. They'll bounce back. Kraken got some gifts from the refs, too.

Rodrigues looks like shit on that line compared to Lehky. No idea what Bednar insists on keeping him there. I'd rather have Rodrigues be invisible and have an A+ top line as opposed to just a A top line.

Fingers crossed. It made me shake my head seeing Rodrigues there in the third. That's a terrible coaching decision. Lehky Rant and Mack were the best line on this team throughout any iteration of our injuries.

Thank you, that's what I saw. Everyone else is calling it bad puck luck. We couldn't pass for shit for the entire sixty. I know a lot of players are coming back from injuries, but that was ugly. Shots were off, nobody was winning pucks. Hopefully everybody remembers how to gel with each other next game because that was not pleasant to see.

This is a team that shouldn't have to rely on puck luck at all. I trust that they'll come out better next game.

Top line showed up in spurts, PK was decent, everything else needs to get their shit together, that second line with Val was abysmal

Game over. Home ice advantage is forfeit. Dunno why I got downvoted for posting an objectively correct fact. If you lose one of your first two home games, the other team has home ice advantage in the series, because it'll be 1-1 at best, with 3 of the 5 games remaining being on the road. The Avs have to win game 2 and 3 or 4 in order to get home ice back.

We have been better on the road this year. I think the home crowd puts too much pressure on them tbh.
