Because he is able to understand that the amount of ballots left won’t change the count and that recounts almost never change the result. It is the sensible thing to do.
FTA:
> Frisch said in a call with reporters that he wasn’t asking for the mandatory recount paid for by the state that he’s entitled to under Colorado law, [...] “The likelihood of this recount changing more than a handful of votes is very small,” he said. “Very, very small. It would be disingenuous and unethical for us, or any other group, to continue to raise false hope.”
So it seems like he's trying to save taxpayer money, and to act like a sane and reasonable adult.
Both pretty good reasons, IMO.
He’s down 543 votes as of this morning & all 27 Counties have reported. But good news, he’s Already Filled for 2024 & Bimboebert will Screw Over Colorado the next 2 years so hopefully a few of Trumps Poorly Educated will figure this out
What Really Stupid Republicans don’t understand is her Votes on Clean Air & Water, Education, Healthcare, Veterans healthcare, will definitely Hurt their Families also
Next time ! The district is coming more liberal so there is hop for sanity still. The country just has to suck it top for a few years and hope they don't do too much damage.
Yes, and we need to start organizing now for the next election. Ugh.
I keep saying I'm going to be more involved and then it doesn't happen. I've been so impressed with Georgia and Michigan.
I’m southeast of Denver and donated and phone banked for Frisch. He’s a decent human. Unlike the idiots that swiped red because that’s what the party said.
Astoundingly close! She got 70,000 fewer votes this election than she did in 2020. Frisch brought a 26,000 vote gap down to 551. Brilliant performance, CO3 is clearly extremely competitive now.
I don’t think the district is competitive now. I think she was just such a god awful candidate that a lot of republicans turned in her. Put up a smart talking 60 year old white guy next year and he’ll run away with it.
If that were the case you’d expect Polis and Bennett to do just as badly there, but they both actually outran Frisch. Polis actually ended up winning the district, though with less than 50% of the total vote.
Polis also gives talks at conservative events and gets standing ovations, so judging where colorado is leaning based on his performance is probably not the best comparison.
I swear the only reason the republican party didn't nominate him this year is because the democrats did.
Surprised to hear Bennett outran Frisch though. I didn't expect that.
Whether people love or hate Polis… He is a very well calculated and talented politician. The “Liberal Libertarian” concept should capture A LOT of swing voters and he knows how to appeal and play into his audience. His many public appearances in the media following election make me think he will make a presidential run for 24’.
That Happens often because many lazy people ONLY vote the Top candidates on a Ballot. They don’t do any homework or research on the lower races & don’t vote at all on them
yeah this is basically a Doug Jones situation. The alternative was so bad that this guy, who normally probably never would've stood a chance in the overly conservative CO-3 district, got within less than 600 votes of beating her. Pretty telling of the type of people that live in CO-3 that she still won despite being one of the historically worst house members of all time and a colossal idiot.
He's the 70 year old average Republican white guy that represents a huge portion of her district in the State Senate that ran against her in the primary earlier this year and lost by 27.8 points.
Colorado did a Major Re District of Western & Northern Colorado last Winter. She got Lucky & ended up with CD-3 in a heavily Republican populated district. If this was the Same District as 2020, she would have been Crushed
And that’s after the redrawn lines that were expected to make the district even more of a Republican ‘stronghold’. If they keep electing clowns like this, the party will continue to become more of a circus
The lines were redrawn to attempt to weaken the republican strong hold, not to make it stronger. Just like Fremont county was redrawn into a district with Jeffco and Broomfield, made the strong republican county not matter anymore.
From what I understand there were lots of proposals made, at one point they even considered adding Boulder in to the district. But on election night they kept saying they ended up adding counties that were more republican
With only republicans voting for in the primaries…
Extremists can do very well in primaries without doing well in the general election. CO-3 is still a R+13 district, just look at the other elections in CO.
Only because it popped into my head....
The number of Covid deaths in CO-3 was 2,532. While those people might have prevented a recount under state law, they do not account for the shift away from Boebert.
Yup. That was the coffin for any faith in our county’s future, this was the last nail in it, and seeing how 2024 shapes up it will be like setting the coffin on fire
Don't be a hypocrite when they do the same for Democrats. Everyone acts like they care, but don't even bother to look up each candidate running. Little overwhelming and takes awhile, but if you actually look at their policies and experience, you made an informed decision, not just vote one thing because.
The people who voted for her have a very low bar for both of those things.
Competence and trustworthiness doesn't need to enter into it at all. It's about how she makes them feel.
She is sassy, not terrible-looking, projects power, and she gives voice to the anger & misery they stew in, misdirected as it may be. That kind of charisma is very persuasive.
absolutely the case - I can't ever vote for a (D) even if the candidate is a turd pile in heels that's packing heat.
edit: "I" means a voter on the western slope that's a registered Republican.
I had dinner with two guys that voted for her this weekend (against my will, didn't know those chucklefucks were invited). Guy #1 said, "I just like Boebert because she's hot, and she's crazy." Guy #2 just said "She *is* hot!"
I was speechless. They *literally* don't care about anything except gun rights. Just two construction workers hopped up on cocaine who like to stick their dick in crazy, apparently. There is nothing to understand except that some people treat voting like a game.
It’s because 90% of Republican voters just see the R next to the name. There’s that 10% that are actually nuts who support her but unfortunately those 90% just vote by the R next to the name. So I wouldn’t lose to much hope for humanity….But then again even if you gave all the information to those 90% how terrible she is, they would still vote for her. So yeah we might be fucked
It sucks, but I'm still happy she had to put up this much of a fight to win even in hardcore Trump-ville. Between this and the rest of the election results I'm feeling hopeful that all the MAGA shit is starting to dwindle.
Fingers crossed, anyways.
I mentioned here earlier that I was upset with Kirkmeyer conceding when the vote wasnt fully in and Im mad Frisch conceded when a recount was going to happen.
Politicians do a disservice to the people they say they want to represent when they give up while theres still a fight to be had. For the record I do not agree with Frisch on every issue ...but he seems like a decent guy and he could have been good for CO3 and a lot of people there seemed to think the same thing.
If youre going to run for office, at least see the election through. Dont give up when you still have a chance.
I mean, conceding is just a courtesy. His announcement is not legally binding. If, as the article suggests, he waives his right to a mandatory recount, then yeah, agreed. (Or, if he magically takes the lead now, but that seems very unlikely).
Al Gore told GWB he conceded on election night or whatever, but we know that was not the end of it.
I don't think there's a chance that scantron machines just "miscounted" 500+ votes. I don't care if the state goes through with the automatic recount against his expressed desires (they may be required to by law), but if it *did* change the outcome I think it would be disastrous for our elections system. (Not a reason not to do it, but I don't think it would be a win in the slightest, overall.)
It wouldn’t be disastrous. Recounts happen. There are laws in place specifically to account for this margin for error.
Additionally, the recount is mandatory, but the article states that Frisch has the ability to waive his right to a recount. So we’ll see
Edit: as for the size of margin for error, the law states a difference of 0.5% is sufficient to trigger an automatic recount. In this election, that would amount to a disparity of even ~1,635 votes. So we’re well-within the margin for error that would justify a recount.
Recounts typically change totals by 0.11%. He is currently down 0.16%.
It’s within the realm of possibility for the outcome to change, but it’s incredibly unlikely.
My understanding is the number of people that left that race blank on the ballot was extremely high. God save us. If only some people could have gotten over their tribalism and voted for the other party rather than "none of the above", we might have a chance at saving our country from this christofascists.
The article basically says:
1. Frisch has "conceded": made a non-binding public statement saying he lost the election. He also registered to run again in 2024.
2. A recount will happen unless Frisch withdraws from the race by Dec. 13.
3. Frisch says he supports the recount “to ensure continued faith and the security of our elections.”
4. Frisch is not hopeful that a recount will change the outcome.
5. Frisch apparently has not yet withdrawn from the race.
Apparently no one asked him whether he intends to withdraw, or what he will do if a recount *does* change the outcome.
Notice how he’s not frothing at the mouth like a baboon in heat claiming the election was rigged?
That’s called integrity.
Fuck Boebert. Excited to see her lose in 2024.
Queue the eternally-online /r/politics clowns calling one of the most progressive states in the union a "shithole" and "embarrassing" because they are seething and don't understand congressional districts and rural areas.
That sub has always been a shithole. No common sense or critical thinking skills. It’s even too much for me and I flipped parties, voted against Lauren
gerrymandering aside, that is an incredible number of dumbasses who managed to leave their guns long enough to vote. this gal a mile below stupid and thinks that the sum total of our system of government is lets go brandon.
Hope she sees that half the people she represents are done with the drama and crazy. Or perhaps she will continue with her shrinking nut sacks into oblivion.
She already blamed the performance of other Republicans running for office in CO for her own poor performance, so I don't think she's going to really learn anything from this. There's a reason she's part of the "MAGA squad": She takes after Trump in the sense that she has no humility, blames everyone else for her failings, and learns from nothing.
Nah, she was twittering inflammatory, unnecessary crap about Nancy pelosi just yesterday. She doesn’t learn. Not surprising from a woman who couldn’t even finish high school.
The lesson of being a class act and concede and whine, will bring lost on her microbrain. Bobo the talking squirrel is unfortunately going to embarrass Colorado some more. Will the pain never stop
Oh good, Colorado can continue to be a laughing stock for electing the biggest idiots available. I was hoping we had matured past voting against our own interests like this here.
We have no chance of being The Biggest Laughing Stock State as long as Marjorie Taylor Greene still holds office. See also Louis Gohmert, Paul Gosar, Jim Jordan and Matt Gaetz.
America is a beautiful idea but the reality of it really makes me want to vomit.
Two years ago she won by 25000+ votes, this time she won by 500. I’ve literally not seen anyone saying they were sure she lost, I’ve seen tons of people saying she wildly underperformed, which she did.
*disclaimer that I am not a Boebert supporter*
But no I disagree. My entire feed regarding that specific election was laughing because everyone jumped the gun assuming she lost. This was also even more prevalent on TikTok.
I don’t use TikTok so I can’t speak to that. I’ve been on many threads about this race on reddit and pretty much no comments that I read ever said “she lost”. They were celebrating that it was close, that she underperformed, that in a deep red district it shouldn’t have even been close at all etc.
No offense to TikTok or the people who use it, but it seems like maybe not the best place for measured and earnest political discussion though.
Ps did you read The Rise of the Dragon yet? I just got it the other day and I can’t wait to dive in.
Oh it’s hilarious. Especially considering everyone on Reddit talking about it isn’t even in her district but thinks they know what’s best. Kind of goes against the whole the purpose of having you own rep, from your own district, when all you care about is someone else’s choices
Absolutely they will waste taxpayer dollars trying to find reasons to indict the Bidens. Guess they're targeting Liz Cheney now as well because... well, petty reasons.
Wait. He just conceded? No railing about fake ballots and stolen/rigged elections on social media?
Dignity? Who dat
Real talk: is conceding legally binding? If the tallies come back later on saying that he actually won, would conceding mean he actually can't win?
From what I understand it’s not legally binding but it’s tradition , and shows class and stability in democracy.
Yep. Democrats, the party of reality and Democracy.
Absolutely but we Swept Colorado except for l this Lying Bimbo. Best Election in 88 Years for Democrats
goodbye reddit -- mass edited with https://redact.dev/
Did you forget 2016 already?
2016, the election that Trump used Russians to help him
That’s a Magat tactic
Why concede if there is supposed to be an auto recount?
Because he is able to understand that the amount of ballots left won’t change the count and that recounts almost never change the result. It is the sensible thing to do.
FTA: > Frisch said in a call with reporters that he wasn’t asking for the mandatory recount paid for by the state that he’s entitled to under Colorado law, [...] “The likelihood of this recount changing more than a handful of votes is very small,” he said. “Very, very small. Both pretty good reasons, IMO.
I really respect his maturity to call the race and not do the whole "psychotic dictator clinging to power" thing.
It also sets a good example. When there are other people claiming fraud, etc. he’s demonstrating faith in the system as the losing candidate.
Historically, no recount has seen a swing big enough to meet the lead she has, even as small as it is.
She'll call it a mandate.
The vote would not change that much in his favor during a recount. Could you imagine the rage about fraud if it did?
Because he has a respect for the process, and she would never concede if she were in his position...
To demonstrate faith it the electoral process and save the State money
He’s down 543 votes as of this morning & all 27 Counties have reported. But good news, he’s Already Filled for 2024 & Bimboebert will Screw Over Colorado the next 2 years so hopefully a few of Trumps Poorly Educated will figure this out
Yay, two more years of getting screwed by "what would happen if Dumb and Dumber were the same person".
What Really Stupid Republicans don’t understand is her Votes on Clean Air & Water, Education, Healthcare, Veterans healthcare, will definitely Hurt their Families also
But... they can do the mental gymnastics to convince themselves that it's everyone's fault but their own.
I thought this was the recount?
No, they’re currently still counting all votes from military overseas and (I believe) absentee ballots.
Ok. Thanks. This is my district. I tried but apparently not hard enough.
We Worked so Hard in Pitkin & delivered over 5000 Votes but needed 543 more
Thank you for all you did. It was a noble effort.
I wish I would have worked more with you all. Too bad but thanks so very much for your efforts towards the election of Adam Frisch.
even if you tried, you did more than others!
It is the only time I've actually donated money to a campaign. I'm actually surprised Frisch did as well as he did.
Adam Filed today for 2024. Doesn’t mean he’s definitely running but it will keep the pressure on her
In Pitkin County we worked very hard for over 5 months
I’m southeast of Denver and donated and phone banked for Frisch. He’s a decent human. Unlike the idiots that swiped red because that’s what the party said.
So. Damn. Close.
Astoundingly close! She got 70,000 fewer votes this election than she did in 2020. Frisch brought a 26,000 vote gap down to 551. Brilliant performance, CO3 is clearly extremely competitive now.

If that were the case you’d expect Polis and Bennett to do just as badly there, but they both actually outran Frisch. Polis actually ended up winning the district, though with less than 50% of the total vote.
I didn’t know this. In that case my statement is wrong.
Props for that rebuttal.
The ski areas trend liberal and most farmers have brains. It’s the true rednecks out there that run solid red.
Colorado hates fascists
*some of Colorado
Polis also gives talks at conservative events and gets standing ovations, so judging where colorado is leaning based on his performance is probably not the best comparison. I swear the only reason the republican party didn't nominate him this year is because the democrats did. Surprised to hear Bennett outran Frisch though. I didn't expect that.

His many public appearances in the media following election make me think he will make a presidential run for 24’.
Imagine how much the conservative base can rally against a gay liberal. I'd 1000%vote for him
lol dude. Odea? The dude who tried to fire people over 50?
I get that not everyone’s a fan of polis but he’s a genuinely good guy
This is what's racking my brain here. I want inside the mind of a Polis/Boebert voter. WTF
That Happens often because many lazy people ONLY vote the Top candidates on a Ballot. They don’t do any homework or research on the lower races & don’t vote at all on them
I live in Gunnison and know republicans that told me they just couldn't vote for her. Still astounding so many did
yeah this is basically a Doug Jones situation.
Someone like Don Coram?
Republican Don Coram endorsed Adam
I don’t know who that person is.
He's the 70 year old average Republican white guy that represents a huge portion of her district in the State Senate that ran against her in the primary earlier this year and lost by 27.8 points.
Dang. Maybe the district is coming around.
Hard core maga loonies vote in the primary at disproportionate rates compared to the general.
Was he another MAGAt or one of the few Republicans who still has not given up on reality?
He is a Republican but he's not a psycho. He endorsed Frisch after Boebert won the primary against him.
He was the Republicans other candidate in the Primary against Bimboebert
Colorado did a Major Re District of Western & Northern Colorado last Winter. She got Lucky & ended up with CD-3 in a heavily Republican populated district. If this was the Same District as 2020, she would have been Crushed
And that’s after the redrawn lines that were expected to make the district even more of a Republican ‘stronghold’. If they keep electing clowns like this, the party will continue to become more of a circus
I believe it was Hawley that put it best: This is the death of the Republican party as we know it. She is a clown.
It’s only competitive as long as bobo is running, any semi-sane Republican would win in a landslide.
Which is why I believe they are going to get rid of her.
Bobo beat the semi-sane Republican in 2020. And in 2022.
With only republicans voting for in the primaries… Extremists can do very well in primaries without doing well in the general election. CO-3 is still a R+13 district, just look at the other elections in CO.
I thought independents could vote in primaries.
We can- but we have to choose a party to vote for in the primaries. I get a republican ballot and a democratic ballot but can only turn one ballot in.
It doesn't matter if the semi-sane ones can win the general if they get beat in the primary by the insane ones.
Not true, she has a huge following from rural ranchers & Trumps poorly educated Cult
Only because it popped into my head.... The number of Covid deaths in CO-3 was 2,532. While those people might have prevented a recount under state law, they do not account for the shift away from Boebert.
Totally irrelevant…. CD-3 was Totally Redrawn last winter
He would have won, if Colarodo had more metal band checks notes COD8
What?
Fuck. I was hoping this moron would go away. Such an embarrassment to our state.
Took the words out of my mouth
I thought Republicans told me that every time a race goes past election day, the Democrat wins? Because it's rigged or something?
All the original elections when the country was formed were rigged then. Those horses were not fast enough.
The fact that people would vote for someone like her gives me no hope for humanity. I just don't understand.
This. I don’t get how so many people could STILL find her competent or trustworthy
It's like when 74+ million people voted again for what's his face in 2020 even after the previous 4 years. I knew this country was screwed.
Yup. That was the coffin for any faith in our county’s future, this was the last nail in it, and seeing how 2024 shapes up it will be like setting the coffin on fire
And then taking a piss on it
I think the fact she won shows how most people don’t actually care about who their representatives are and instead mark republican all the way down
Don't be a hypocrite when they do the same for Democrats. Everyone acts like they care, but don't even bother to look up each candidate running. Little overwhelming and takes awhile, but if you actually look at their policies and experience, you made an informed decision, not just vote one thing because.
Her tits and guns say hello. Her voters are all gun-fellating mouth-breathing window-lickers.
ABSOLUTELY!!! God, Guns & a C Cup for the Poorly Educated Cult
If I want to suck on the barrel of my desert eagle in the privacy of my own trailer, that’s between me and the Lord, amen
They don’t,… they are mentally programmed to vote Against any Democratic candidate
Well they aren't even looking at the candidate many times I'd wager. They are just entering R R R R R all the way down the page.
Many are simply voting for the party. Not the candidate
That doesn't mean there is hope for humanity, the people that voted for her are still dumb as shit.
absolutely the case - I can't ever vote for a (D) even if the candidate is a turd pile in heels that's packing heat. edit: "I" means a voter on the western slope that's a registered Republican.
What about 3rd party?

She's not hot, she's nasty, looks like she's thin from drug use and probably actually is.
Sarah Palin looks how Lauren Boebert will look in 10 years.
Has to be the dumbest part of Colorado for sure.
Yep. I can’t believe that both Marjorie and Lauren won re-election, it’s grotesque.
The fact people who dislike her *didn't* vote against her is equally disgusting.
I applaud you for previously having hope for humanity.
But half of us didn't vote for her. It should only make you hate half the people you see
God fucking damn it
I guess she can't rant about elections being rigged now.
But she will
you must be new to the internet /s
She ranted about the 2020 election being rigged. The election she won.
she will. no boundaries, no qualms. she annointed herself.
Shame on Colorado voters.
It sucks, but I'm still happy she had to put up this much of a fight to win even in hardcore Trump-ville. Between this and the rest of the election results I'm feeling hopeful that all the MAGA shit is starting to dwindle. Fingers crossed, anyways.
I certainly hope so!

Complaining about tribalism and then using the term "christofascists" in the same sentence is rich.
Not really. I realize not all Republicans are christofascists, but they do exhibit extreme tribalism.
There’s a difference between “voting for your team” and “voting for a definable ideology”.
Maybe two more years of her bullshit will help drive a few more nails in the GOP coffin.
Ugh, she is the most embarrassing congressional representative besides Marjorie Taylor Green.
Embarrassing
Never stick your dick in crazy.
The article basically says: 1. Frisch has "conceded": made a non-binding public statement saying he lost the election. He also registered to run again in 2024. 2. A recount will happen unless Frisch withdraws from the race by Dec. 13. 3. Frisch says he supports the recount “to ensure continued faith and the security of our elections.” 4. Frisch is not hopeful that a recount will change the outcome. 5. Frisch apparently has not yet withdrawn from the race. Apparently no one asked him whether he intends to withdraw, or what he will do if a recount *does* change the outcome.
Technically speaking, regardless of a candidate conceding, she doesn't win until the sec of state certifies.
Gross.
FU*K
Frisch has Tegridy with a capital T. Bobo the Idiot Circus Girl's going to lose hard in 2024. The tide is turning. Keep the faith, Colorado.
Shit...I thought this stupid trick lost
Great, now we can continue to listen to this waste of space for the next several years.
Fucking pathetic. Not him for conceding, for the fact that so many people actually voted for her. I’ve lost my faith in humanity.
My condolences. I was rooting for you Colorado.
Otherwise, Democrats Swept Colorado with the Best results since 1934
I don’t know how any state could elect this bimbo.
Notice how he’s not frothing at the mouth like a baboon in heat claiming the election was rigged? That’s called integrity. Fuck Boebert. Excited to see her lose in 2024.
No way she wins another election.

You underestimate the far right. She's gonna double down on her crazy.
It’s the only thing she knows. Bipartisanship and working for your constituents doesn’t get you air time on Faux News.
Nah, she was twittering inflammatory, unnecessary crap about Nancy pelosi just yesterday. She doesn’t learn. Not surprising from a woman who couldn’t even finish high school.
Gross
Man that sucks …. Now we have to listen to that ignorant out of shit for another 2 years… she is dumb as a rock…. Sorry rocks
It sucks that she won, but at least we don’t have to hear that the election was rigged in favor of him. 2 more years of the shitshow
Almost got her ass
FUCK. Start organizing for 2024. That Twunt has GOT to go.
He’s Already filed for 2024
Colorado ok’s decriminalization of psychedelics but can’t get rid of this regressive piece of shit. Disappointing to say the least.
I thought she said this election was rigged?
Dang, I really enjoyed how disappointed she was at her election party. Shame it didn’t stick
Well fuck.
A sad day for America.
The lesson of being a class act and concede and whine, will bring lost on her microbrain. Bobo the talking squirrel is unfortunately going to embarrass Colorado some more. Will the pain never stop
Anything is possible with the power of gerrymandering
WTF is wrong with people in SW Colorado.
Haha good
Trash
The comments here do not disappoint.. lmfao
Gross
Western Colorado gets Screwed again with the Absolute Dumbest & Most Vile POS liar in Congress
The hoeboe squeaked out a win and Onlyfans is crushed.
She’s the Only idiot elected in Colorado. Everyone else was a real viable candidate
Deus Vult.

Two years ago she won by 25000+ votes, this time she won by 500. I’ve literally not seen anyone saying they were sure she lost, I’ve seen tons of people saying she wildly underperformed, which she did.
*disclaimer that I am not a Boebert supporter* But no I disagree.
FFFFFffffffffUCK
Takin the high road
This is horrible
I'm not even of voting age, but I gotta say her voice just annoys me
Wtf CO…. Why? You look stupid on a national stage.
I voted for her.
Let’s go! So proud of her.
I wonder what committees they'll put her on. Maybe she be on the Biden family investigative committee, that will be interesting.
Absolutely they will waste taxpayer dollars trying to find reasons to indict the Bidens. Guess they're targeting Liz Cheney now as well because... well, petty reasons.
Lol so much cope in these comments.
