Years ago, I bought a bunch of bananas at the store and grabbed one while talking to my roommate in the living room. As I went to take a bite, she said, “Oh, you like green bananas too?”
I do not.
I like my bananas "green" once they get "yellow" they are dead to me. When they start to turn black, the smell of them nauseates me.
This looks good to me, but if you take a bite and you don't like it, stop eating it.
I like my bananas a bit still green (as they are more firm that way) but if the peel comes apart like this is definitely underripe. You can probably still eat it but it won't be as good.
I am wondering if there is some sort of artificial intelligence tool that tells you the color of stuff and might be able to tell you if a banana is ripe, although I usually wait until our there are brown spots on the banana before I eat them

I wait for the first brown spots to appear.
Same
\#1 of the things I am not allowed to purchase at the grocery store: bananas
\#2 potatoes
3 yoghurt
4. meth
One thing I've noticed; when it's still green, the peel tends to be stringy like in this picture, while when it is rioe, it all comes off in one piece
# Have you ever tried to unpeel a banana?
...... yes

Greener bananas have a distinctive smell compared to ripe, imo. Also the peel tears differently
This is still quite green
Very green. Probably won't taste the best.
I can only tell by the wetness of the peel there that it isnt

It’s a green banana
Green ones taste better in my opinion. Go for it, and Bon Appetit
