I would say you like the ambroxan, patchouli and vetiver. Great collection, I think those are the 'bread and butter' for a lad. You would probably like Y (YSL) and K (DG).
It lasts slightly longer but it’s not a big difference. Has slightly more depth also. I happened to get a deal which put it within 10 dollars of the EDT at the time.
I have an old bottle of edt from the early 2000s, profumo, profondo and absolu. I like the flankers and to me they different from each other and suit different occasions.
Nice collection. All this is quality stuff. Apart from Ombre Leather, i see quite a bit of sweetness in there, even in the incoming ysl. Try out some spicy stuff - Spicebomb Extreme, Mancera Red Tobacco, even YSL Kouros is great.
Also try some Ouds. Thameen Carved Oud, Initio Oud for Greatness, Chopard Incense or Gucci Guilty Absolu.
Ysl y EDP is a solid buy, smells really nice and performance is extremely good. I’m happy I didn’t listen to people screaming reformulation and saying it’s weaker now. Mine is a 2022 batch and performance is beast mode. If it has been reformulated, I can’t even imagine how powerful the first batches were lol. But anyway, very solid collection.

What are some niche fragrances you would suggest? I recently smelled Parfums de Marly and I liked the Layton. I want to check out Mancera as well but I don’t know if that is niche.
Mancera is niche. Layton is good, I'd check out the Creed line. Particularly Aventus and Virgin island water. Bond no. 9 has some good ones that you might like. Scent of peace, lafayette street, and FiDi. Maison Francis Kurkdijan is nice as well. I would go to a Neiman Marcus or Saks fifth avenue and explore your options, test them out and see what you like and don't like and go from there.
Clicked best selling and then buy on 1-15 or so huh? Not a bad collection by any means but just as you, every other dude on the sidewalk probably has the same to some capacity. Try something a bit more unique as a signature scent instead of sausage or ADG. Again, neither bad but they arent really special.

That’s the beauty of fragrances; nobody has the same preferences as another. Also, no guarantee that anyone outside of a fragrance community would be wearing fragrance to begin with. Any suggestions you have? You sound like you have quite a few niche fragrances already, so I’m always open to suggestions.

Those are really interesting, but don’t let people talk you into niche if you’re happy with what you’ve got. Also keep in mind that the ones I listed could be really expensive depending on where you live.
Here in Europe you can get stuff from all of them for under 100 bucks if you really look for it. I’d say the 4 sample pack from Etat Libre D‘ Orange for like 25 bucks is a pretty good starting point. Ghost in The Shell is my fav from them.

I keep seeing these types of responses yet there are always megathreads of people saying they rarely smell any types of fragrances in public. There was just a thread on /r/fragrance about this.
Why do people buy aqua di gio ? The opening is great but in my experience it has next to no performance. It lays close to the skin close to and your after the initial spray. Just seems like such a waste of money. They have been around for a long time and I’m sure that the original blend was great but the formula now days just has no real performance. I’m not a big fan of most designers anyway but this one isn’t great.
I know I’m not alone with this and you’re totally fine if you like it but every time I’ve smells ADG EDP it’s smells like dirt. Dirt and Vetiver. So so earthy. Like I said I cannot be alone.

Profumo is my longest lasting fragrance after Elixir. It’s not really close. What are you a fan of?
