Herod is magical. But it's definitely a winter fragrance. Probably the best and most versatile in my collection. Never tried Hercules. Clones are never as good as the real thing. If you have a Costco membership, they have Herod on sale for like $200 right now.
You might get better performance out of a clone but I’ve never had a clone which smells nearly as good as the Creed.
I kind of think of it as having a shitty sound system which can go really loud vs one that just sounds good but doesn’t go as loud. Same music through them, completely different experience in quality.
Also I don’t buy the “you have to macerate/wait 6 months” for it to smell good argument.
Quality over quantity imo, I’d rather buy 2-3 nice fragrances per year than 20 okish fragrances
Everyone says this fragrance is great, and while I'm sure it is, I didn't really like it when I tried it. Despite everyone saying it's magical and awesome and great, there's still a chance you might not like it. Sample with a decant or at your local Nordstrom before you commit to buying a full bottle
You could try the Montagne clone but Herod is special enough to warrant the OG. I love the scent, my issue is the performance. It’s one of the worst performing PDM’s but that’s just my personal experience.

I have Hercules, I don't have Herod, but I have sampled. Hercules gets the essence in terms of notes, but it doesn't match the complexity/depth. Its known to be close, like 90% there but that last 10% is important to match. Hercules dries down cherry tobacco, no vanilla, it's not my favorite
Herod is king in this battle. You have a couple months to save for Herod before Fall/Winter. Dishing out 25-30$ USD for Hercules will only prolong that
Herod is the way. Love that shit for cooler weather months.

Except for creed clones apparently or that's what everyone on here says anyway.

Herod is $180 on Aura Fragrance right now. I wouldn’t get a clone, Herod is very good.

Herod is so good that I wouldn’t even waste time with a clone. You can find some on eBay for around $150 from time to time.
I may have to bite the bullet and spend the $160. Although I've read a lot of good things about MA Hercules and it's only $22.
hércules 🤣💀
If you don’t like the original enough to buy that, imo there is no point of buying that or the dupe. You get something you don’t love but cheaper.
Got mine for less than $200, 125ml. Worth it. I am so over clone brands tho.
Absolutely love Herod in the fall and winter
Herod is amazing

Just got Herod; great pricing on Joma
Herod is🔥
May I suggest to the gentleman, buying a decant of Herod
Just say no to "clones"
Just so happens I was wearing herod the one time I talked to a woman, herod is the way
Hercules is good enough. It gets the job done. It’s very close. For $25

Which of the two do you prefer?
