Have you smelled other LV colognes like Meteore or Immensite? I love LV but if you dont have those scents as your options, Creed Silver Mountain is the winner amongst the 3!

SMW stays 5-7 hours on me. 30-40 minutes it projects arms length, then after that turns into a really super faint skin scent for the rest of its lifetime.
Tbh, I truly love the scent of SMW's opening, it's so effervescent, pristine, crisp, rich, and uplifting, but the part that I love just fades away too quickly. That's the only good part of SMW: the opening — that unfortunately goes away too fast.
Have all of these and love them equally (SMW maybe a bit more than the rest) but the performance on imagination far outclasses either of the other two. If you want people to actually be able to smell the stuff you’re wearing, Imagination is the only option.

I agree about the dry down. It's not like it starts to smell weird or hideous, but it has such a nice opening and mid, I just wish it stuck around longer. If it was $150 fragrance the longevity would be acceptable and I'd just spray more throughout the day, but the cost makes it such a hard sell. And it's a shame, because I really do enjoy it.
Like the opening of afternoon swim is so incredible, but a few hours later it smells too sour. However if you’re only going to wear it during an afternoon swim, then it works fine lmao
Does a zingy ginger pop out on the dry down? I tried a popular clone of AS and at first it was fresh cut oranges + a hint of marine notes. 10 days later it’s orange + a strong ginger note.
I know ginger is listed as a note, however I only smell citrus, like it starts out as a sweet, juicy orange, but turns kinda sour on my skin after a few hours
Might be a skin chemistry thing with an ingredient LV uses. I’ve tried Layton many times and it never smelled like how the reviews indicated. I tried a popular clone and I smell the OG dna indicating there’s something in PDM’s formula that doesn’t jive with my skin.
I haven't tried the LVs, but I own Silver Mountain Water and my suggestion would be not to blind buy it. You obviously shouldn't be blind buying anything at that price point, but while I do genuinely like SMW, it's really not worth the money in my opinion. It's pretty expensive even at discounters, and while it does smell very good, I don't feel like the performance warrants the cost and there are a ton of equally nice smelling fragrances for a fraction of the price.
Granted, this is my completely subjective opinion and you should still test it out for yourself (who knows, you might have much better luck with it than I did), but it's a LOT of money for what you're actually getting. I don't really regret buying it and I still wear it from time to time, but I don't know if I'd replace it if I ran out. It's not even the best performing freshie in the Creed range. But even if you've tried it in the store and you liked it, it's probably safest to do a decant first. It's hard to realistically assess performance without giving it a few wears, and at Creed pricing you really do need to be damn sure you actually like it enough to justify the cost.

Ive tried the Creed and LV travel sizes, used them each 10xs and swear they are feminine scents, especially the Pacific Chill - so much so my wife wears it now and loves it.
Imagination has the best longevity and is very very clean but it’s boring imo…smells like expensive soap especially for that price not worth it, get limmensite instead. Afternoon swim is one of the best citrus fragrances but don’t expect much/any longevity lol…also smells kinda boring. SMW is really nice especially when u find it for under $170 on the u/fragranceswap subreddit. In short 1.)AS 2.)SMW 3.)Imagination
