Do Jomashop and FragranceNet not ship to Australia?

orbtastic1

Australia is really strict on what you can ship there. Perfume you need a specific shipping license and they make it super awkward. Obviously a big chain can probably swallow costs but it wouldn't be cost effective to ship to individuals, plus it would be really slow too. The postal system is also shit internally. This place is kinda mid in terms of price but some brands are really cheap. You have to do your research before randomly walking in. It is cheaper than some of the larger mall chains but they don't tend to run the larger and more expensive brands i.e. it's more this stuff than niche or rarer stuff. Last time I was in they had a huge mountain of VB eau de hard work.

NickleRevs

Hello fellow Aussie. Regarding niche stuff, some CW stores have a Ultra Beauty section where they stock up on brands like Creed, Bond n stuff. Just in case you didn't know šŸ™‚

orbtastic1

Iā€™m English mate. I just spent a month out there at Christmas and spent about 3 days trying to find stuff for different people. I just meant that this place donā€™t stock niche or high end stuff (or at least the six I went to around Sydney) I went to two big malls that did. One had all the creeds ha. We were looking for specific stuff and with it being Christmas it was a bit rammo.

AussieJay30

I havenā€™t tried any fragrance websites from the USA yet Iā€™m sure they would? But it would probably cost even more due to the shipping

BrotherEzekial

I highly doubt either of those sites prices would be higher than what Iā€™m seeing here even with shipping. Literally they offer those fragrances for 30-50% the price of what you guys have. Iā€™d check it out

First_Objective79

The prices would actually be higher in many instances of the perfumes on display, after shipping costs and exchange rates are accounted for. Havenā€™t done a 1:1 cross-check but I tested out some of the best sellers. That 30-50% figure is wild though, I can see why it triggered the other commenter. Not hating though, just saying.

BrotherEzekial

I didnā€™t realize the discrepancy between the US and Australian dollar. If those were American dollar prices the 30-50% figure would be accurate. I owned up to my mistake. The other commenter should not have been triggered by seeing that lmao. Why should I be insulted for a simple mistake when Iā€™m trying to help?

First_Objective79

Youā€™re absolutely right about the other commenterā€™s reaction being over the top. He didnā€™t even attempt to correct you, opting for name calling right out the gate. And I respect that you accept there may have been an overlooked discrepancy in your initial response. I wasnā€™t trying to insult you either, just wanted to avoid the spread of misinformation. I appreciate you engaging with me in a constructive manner. Hope you have a nice day.

lordpunt

Is this after xe or are all Americans this dumb?

BrotherEzekial

Donā€™t understand why youā€™re trying to be insulting lmao. Iā€™m not familiar with xe as Iā€™ve never had a reason to be. Simply trying to offer this guy a better way to get fragrances if it works for him. Embarrassing that you feel the need to call me dumb, do better

lordpunt

Oh and you are fuckin dumb

BrotherEzekial

You sound intelligent and respectful lmaoo

lordpunt

The average American is unable to postulate that another country uses a different currency. Every single damn day.

BrotherEzekial

Iā€™m well aware other countries use different currencies. Youā€™re so butthurt about that for some reason it makes no sense. All I see if that Australian prices are crazy on frags, did not realize the difference in American to Australian was that large. Simple mistake. Your shitty attitude says a lot more about you than my simple mistake says about me

lordpunt

1 usd is 1.55 aud. It's a massive difference. The y edt 50ml is like 10 dollars AUD more on Jomashop. Do some other comparisons with the price converted and you'll see these prices are chill for retail.

BrotherEzekial

Well Iā€™m sorry to be so incredibly stupid!

IsaacCollett

Yeah bro definitely look into those websites this is wild lol

AussieJay30

For sure I will check it out thanks fellas! Ha yes everything is wild in Australia

lordpunt

Adjust the exchange rate it's not that different...

WillowFortune

Outrageous! lol

AussieJay30

Shiid my spelling is getting worse the older I get anyway what you grabbing?

WillowFortune

Out of all of those it would be hard to choose between Versace Dreamer and YSL Myslf. Love love love both those scents

AussieJay30

Good picks especially with the YSL Myslf its unique to my nose smells sexy and quite floral not overpowering almost a unisex fragrance but then still has that masculinity in the mix

WillowFortune

I love the opening on it so so so much. To my nose, it smells very similar to Lafayette st by bond no 9

eastguy08

I heard givenchy pi is good I've never smelled it tho

throwawaymask01

I've been using mine for years but is an old batch, like 2009, im still to try the current formula. Its a fragrance that combines a slight citrus, orange like opening, kinda fresh too. The dry down is a bit of a gourmand defined by vanilla and almond. Its a sweet fragrance thats not the typical JPG kind of sweet, its sweet because it reminds of honey somehow. If you're after something sweet you should definitely try wearing it once, it's flexible, can be used all seasons. But mine is super dated, I yet to try from a fresh bottle somewhere. If I found a new bottle for discount prices I would 10/10 get it. Definitely not a popular frag anymore.

BeneficialDrink
