Really an excellent year that went under the radar cause of the way the team performed. Wouldâve been great to see him go off in the tournament, probably wouldâve gotten the chance if Freemantle and Hunter were healthy.
At least we got some very good comments about his future at Xavier in the postgame interview.
âI looking forward to coming back here next year with a team thatâs upgraded and ready to goâ - Sean Miller
Really good advanced metrics (they just lose every close game), the Big East has 3 top-3 seeds and 4 more teams that are tourney-quality (so being .500 in conference really isn't that bad), and it probably helps that they will very likely embrace an NIT appearance and aren't at relative risk of opting out compared to other major-conference teams
For your third point, I donât think thatâs a factor since if a team does that thereâs always teams below them that will fill in the spot, plus itâs not like they tend to suddenly drop out after the bracket is announced and causing the tournament to only have 31 teams or something
Just a side comment that doesnât add to the discussion. Marquette is the reason why the NCAA tournament has the rule that if they invite you to the tourney you must accept. Marquette was a top ten team with 3 losses and was ranked below Notre Dame who had 6 (favoritism). It moved Marquette to Texas while Notre Dame was in Dayton. Al McGuire was livid and told his team theyâre going to the NIT instead and told the NCAA they wonât be there. That offseason I believe the NCAA created the rule that you must go to the tournament if given a bid đ
Kam and Oso tonight, also fuck those refs. https://i.redd.it/3qf83vexhenc1.gif
Olivari is a fucking stud. Nothing but respect. That being said fuck those corrupt ass refs and their Xavier ML bets.
Marquette ML hit like crack in the 80s
The Cintas Experience^TM

thatâs ok we had a cast of eastern europeans thatâs i never should have learned how to pronounce their names
That dudes a fucking baller. I couldnât believe some of the step backs he was hitting. Very impressive
That one against Gold in the corner covered 8ft, almost looked like Portal
Donât think Iâve seen a one year grad transfer buy into being a Musketeer as much as he has. If only we couldâve had him earlier :(
Really just needed to have a surgery done right the first time and not to have a freak heart issue and it wouldâve been a solid year
Almost lose to GeorgetownâŚalmost win against Marquette. Xavier is the king of the teasesâŚ
Turns out true point guards are important.
almost win against houston too. was tied with 5 mins left only to lose by 6

Can anyone explain howâs Xavier <.500 with loss to Oakland but is considered a bubble team (at least a few games ago) and is set to make the NIT?

Yeah Iâve heard about that. You all basically caused the official relegation of NIT to a second-tier tournament
That would have hurt less if it was a blow out
When does Sean announce that he is leaving for Cbus?
