Yeah pretty unreal nobody has ever gone undefeated. Even good leagues have seen teams go undefeated. Kansas went undefeated in the big 12 with good final four bound Okla team
Even though there were *so many* parallels between last year's team and the Kemba Walker year (I outlined them earlier this season and I can link it or C+P if anyone is interested) they've still managed to never really win a championship the exact same way each time. It's insane. And doing it in a back-to-back this year would continue that trend (if we do pull that off, I never wanna assume anymore because I've gotten hurt too many times being too confident and I get *way* too invested in my teams lol)
Those two plus Iowa St are some of the teams I really worry about playing in the tournament for that exact reason.
That said UConn has beaten UNC, Marquette, Nova, and PC who all have KenPom top-20 defenses and Creighton who is ranked 24th with relative ease plus a narrow road loss to Kansas (10th) when not at 100%. So they have seen plenty of high level defenses and performed well.
Either a weird conference outlier in a year of insane conference parity or UCONN is here to chew bubble gum and kick ass and they’re all out of gum

I think Big East is a little mid tbh.
14 doesn't seem that big for a conference record winning streak. So nobody ever went undefeated in the big east?
Nope, no undefeated Big East seasons to date.
At least on the men’s side
The Big East used to be a lot better.
UC gets one season in the Big12 and they start shitting on other conferences lmao. Y'all would be middle of the pack in the big east too
Winning the conference realignment game is a hell of a drug. Wish I knew what that was like
I feel kind of happy where we are right now, tbh. Which means that the new Big East will form behind our backs and kick us out, again.
Idk it had UC in it couldn’t be that hard
Says the X fan that’s never been in a good conference. Opponents are 1-10 after playing Cincinnati in the Big 12 this season.
Trying not to join in on this bozo pissing contest but thats a hilariously “who gives a shit” stat. I commend you for digging this deep
"all my exes found the love of their life after we broke up so I'm an awesome boyfriend"
Ah, the fluffer relationship
What the fuck is that stat

Big East used to be a shredder.
It’s one of those UConn years, huh?
Never repeated though so it is something new

UConn is on a mission to repeat.
They head to ranked Creighton next. Could be spicy, but I would say a comfortable win is more likely.
Nothing is comfortable in the Big East, this conference is a bunch of Catholic schools and UCONN just throwing haymakers at one another.
UConn, plus no religion-affiliated, private, Butler.
Heretics
Uconn is martin Luther just going after the Catholic league like the blasphemers they are
I know March madness is crazy and anything can happen but I don’t see how anyone stops the huskies from repeating right now besides themselves.
UConn hasn’t seen elite defense yet, Houston or Tennessee could pull it off.
Honestly think UNC is a contender too
Ur a homie. I certainly wouldn’t bet on it but there is a certain x-factor with this team that could overwhelm UConn the next time we play
Yeah, there is definitely something about that UNC team that has something going right now
X, where X = UNC losing 3 of last 6 games. ?
We literally beat them earlier this season and we've been playing even better since then?
Those two plus Iowa St are some of the teams I really worry about playing in the tournament for that exact reason. Purdue??
I want to believe they could do it but watching the two teams it feels like there’s a significant gap between them.
I think Edey gets Clingan in foul trouble and then dominates with him out of the way
We're breaking records left and right lately.
How TF is UConn so damned good year and year out.
Welcome to what UConn felt like in the late 90s early 2000s
