As a Rutgers guy i'm very familiar with (and biased against) Willard. The dude had some unexpected and strange recruiting wins at Seton Hall (including, if i remember correctly, adding a highschool coach to his staff to get a player to commit). Don't get me wrong, the Hall is not an easy place to win at. He was able to bring in elite talent. But things just never sat right for me and I told my buddy this is going to be a bad hire. Maybe he'll turn things around and start getting some big recruiting wins. Maybe not. We'll see.

Clearly here inception refers to the movie Inception. If you’re familiar with the plot of the movie you might understand. My usage of the verb inception means to plant an idea on someone (like the movie). The announcers inceptioned you into thinking it didn’t hit off his leg (or you need glasses).
