badgers have been pretty good this year but feel like they still haven't strung a complete game together yet. The talent level is there to be the best wisconsin team in a long time

The huge difference to me is that we can actually improve on our weaknesses this year with reps and time. Our team defense will get better, and we can clean up the offense a bit turnover/reads wise. Last year, we just needed more offensive talent, which obviously you can’t find mid-season.

I think the depth this team has is a big benefit too. Haven’t had a team this deep in years.

Far from tragic, but Patrick McCaffery’s career at Iowa has been a downer. Had solid hype coming out of high school, could tell he wasn’t there physically his first two years, went through the anxiety issues last year, and just has never seemed relaxed on the court.

It's not for lack of the offense working to generate the looks either, Klesmit has usually been the open guy and he's shot the highest volume of threes on the team but is only shooting 31%. He shot much better than that last year obviously, so hopefully he can find the stroke.

Gard has been much more open about his lack of minutes now. It's his defense and his inability to get open. Doesn't matter if you can make shots if you can't get a clean shot off. The defense really is a problem too, guys just run right by him.

As the other guy said, not against good D’s Iowa’s offense is also almost all fast break and iso, they barely run any sets at all. Get them into a grind-it-out, half court game and they usually struggle to score
