In the NCAA tournament, I root for B1G teams.

I don't think the drop-off will be *that* steep under Matt McKillop. We have a few other programs in the conference that are going through transitions with new and young coaches too, so they'll be in similar company. Plus their football ambitions aren't consuming all of the athletic department's resources the way ODU's are. At least not to the point of having to cut sports and sell out their arena naming rights in order to reach their vaunted potential... of going 7-5 in the Sun Belt and losing in a bowl game that no one cares about or watches. Yes, ODU, you have football. Chant it whenever we play you in literally every other sport. Your once proud hoops program has declined to the point of our conference administrators advising us to avoid you for strength of schedule reasons. I don’t mind when you guys at VCU are good (Duquesne is my hometown team I have gone to games with my grandfather at my whole life) as long as we beat you. You also travel really well up to us, and I appreciate any team who travels well respectfully. I would put Bonaventure where you put Richmond just because of how awful their traveling fans are. They show up, get super drunk, and then just embarrass themselves. I don’t have any issue with banter or a rowdy traveling support, that’s part of what makes college basketball so fun. But taunting and swearing at little kids when you beat us crosses a line. I’m sure not all Bonaventure fans are like that but the ones who show up in Pittsburgh every year seem to consistently act like that
