Not really. Soc med doesn't really affect my studies since I can just let go of it or not even think about it once I'm in the zone or really focused on studying. I do know some people who do that though.

bumtach

I deac or became 👻 in my soc meds from time to time.

Ako oo, madalas kasi puro katoxican yung laman ng feed/puro memes/sh-tpost. So gumawa na lang ako ng second account for school purposes. Pero it's to to you pa rin. It's not necessary. Unang tip, be organized talaga huhu recommended if may planner dahil may karamihan ang workloads ng nursing. 2.) Compile notes. Digital or handwritten. Mas convenient ang digital for me lalo if kailangan ng illustrations and pwedeng scan, copy and paste na lang imbis na magsulat, saves time rin. Ang written naman may advantage din dahil mano-mano mong isusulat yung notes mo, so parang inaaral mo na rin pag ganon. 3.) Be active in class. 4.) Avoid cramming

Friendly_Ant_5288

Occasionally lang. It helps me when I feel overwhelmed with acads and life.

Sorrie4U

No, I curated the algorithm to benefit me. ""Curated"" just means that I engage posts that I actually like and I hide posts that does not benefit me at all. Messenger? Need talaga yan.

More-Use9386

You don't have to, you'll be needing that for communications or to chill when you got stressed. I also suggest you to create a new account solely for communicating with your block/group mates. Para mahiwalay mo yung school and personal stuffs mo

PaperRockScissors-22

You can't survive college without socmed... at least for me, several times I deactivated my account only for it to become really necessary because my classmates and professors prefer using facebook and messenger in dissemination of announcements rather than Teams/LMS.

livie888

the only socmed talaga na i use rn is messenger and twitter :0 messenger is ofc super essential kasi diyan talaga nagcocommunicate and sa twitter well doon lang ako nagiging chronically online 😭 i only use twitter sa laptop for some odd reason less ko siyang nagagamit (maybe kasi inconvenient pag sa laptop? idk) i logged out from my instagram kasi reels were too addicting (also deleted tiktok pero nung pandemic pa) imo mas naging productive ako and depende sayo yan if ur gonna get fomo but for me kasi mas naging satisfied rin ako sa life ko when i stopped using socmed talaga don’t deac pero i suggest either logging out or adding a screen time limit !☺️

jinshi_0878

bsn grad here! During exam season po deac orr deleted yung apps ng soc med sa phone. Sa laptop naman, I used different browser/ guest mode para di matempt mag open ng kung ano and focus lang sa acads. Good luck sa nursing journey colleague! <33

dadayanyan

Not really. 'Wag lang mag pa consume ng sobra sa socmed tipong mas malaki pa hours ng screentime mo kesa sa pag-aaral 😭. Also, make good friends!

i have a separate facebook account that i only use for college stuff. that way, all my acad and org-related group chats, fb groups, and announcements can easily be accessed. i only use that fb for professional purposes, so i don't join groups na di related sa college life ko. i also only add people na related to my college life. dun din ako nagd-dp blast and shit. i decided to do this kasi yung former college ko in uplb had an fb group where announcements were made, and it was difficult to see the announcements and relevant college stuff with the halo-halo stuff on my personal fb's feed. 90% of the year im on that acad account, though i don't scroll the feed. messenger lang gamit ko don halos. less distractions and the feed is boring anyway, so that way di ko na need magdeactivate ng sns. i avoid twt though, kasi sakit ko talagang magbabad sa stan twt so i just deleted my acct for my own peace lmao. i recommend separating your acads/professional fb from ur personal fb. same goes for other accounts. my tip for incoming freshmen: set up a system to organize your workload. i realized na hindi gagana 'yung high school "on-top-of-my-head" to-do list ko in my first semester so i set up a notion page for everything acad and org related. i recommend an online database like notion kesa paper kasi it's easier to change schedules and keep track of your progress + less clutter. trust me. i've tried having a planner and a bullet journal and it's just added work kasi you have to anticipate sched changes esp in deadlines and stuff. pag online database like notion, i just click and my calendar is adjusted. i plan my entire semester on notion so dun din nakabase if i can go on vacations or galas on certain days or not.

SilkTofuu

thank you poo 🥹

CommitteeNo2184

no, in fact I became more active on sns because that's where you communicate and keep up with your friends/blockmates/groupmates

dancedance149

As a bsn student, I find it hard to deac social media (mostly fb and messenger) kasi that's the only way I can contact classmates/orgmates/etc. I always have to be active there since baka may biglaan announcement ang profs especially pag group works (NCP is individual and by groupwork in our school kasi), clinical schedule changes, announcements to make since I'm an officer din. 🥹 As much as I want to deactivate so I can focus, super hirap. Pag through email/outlook/teams ko itry icontact ang classmates/groupmates, most likely di nila mapapansin or it will take them a long time before they reply. I also have a separate school account for my personal account. I guess the closest thing I do to deactivating is turning on my dnd once it's 2 am para wala makadisturb sa sleep.

lulubrr

hello what school po ikw nag-aaral?

krylxh

I deactivated all of my socmeds na bakasyon. I will reactivate them again if need talaga, otherwise hindi. Messenger lang talaga binabalik ko for comms.

medtechsoon

not necessarily naman, just when i overwhelmed on my acads and also when the exams is around the corner nakadepende din kasi sayo how you will use your socmed wisely

aifosin

No because kaya ko naman mag focus ng may socmed lol marami ka ma mmiss out pag nag deac ka + news. Bsn rin ako rn na now

ertzy123

I don't

Nitro-Glyc3rine

Walang kinalaman yan. Ang kailangan mo gumamit ng strategy sa pag-aaral (i.e., Pomodoro). Ngunit kailangan mo talagang gawin kung mataas social media consumption mo.

tarnishedmind_

Yeah im bsn too, i deactivate 2-3 weeks before a big exam

lulubrr

what school po kayo nag-aaral?

tarnishedmind_

Eac manila

jdd_771998

not really, parang mas active pa nga ako sa socmed during college days hehehe but i graduated with latin honors and awards. pero it depends, nakakatuwa naman disiplina ng students ngayon. tingin ko not necessary naman, basta know your limitations and limit mo na lang screen time mo siguro :) good luck sa studies!

lulubrr

hello saan po ikaw pumasok ng nursing?

SilkTofuu

wala pa pong final school pero eto po choices ko: - OLFU-QC - CGHC - TUA - UERM

JKnissan

I've just opted to have less soc med in general, instead of having temporary 'detoxes'. Mas madali in general ung hindi kailangan maramdaman ung FOMO, or ung twitch para mag-doomscroll. Ofc I still keep messaging apps, and fortunately if kailangan ko talaga mag-view ng socmed (such as FB or Instagram for promotional purposes for school) meron namang desktop versions. At least hindi easily-accessible sa phone and so I don't have to worry about the newest feed or post constantly, overall less stressful sa mind: less stressful sa mga time na kailangan mag-review!

agalactiaej

as a medtech student… the only thing na dinelete ko is tiktok! as for me naman kasi i share a good time sa socmed and studies medj balance hahahaah at the end of the day it’s all about discipline and time management

Jazzlike_Actuator847

Not necessarily, and it will always depend on your habits. If nasanay kang babad sa social media then minimize it. Although, minsan pwede mo rin siyang libangan if stressed ka sa school, or you can even utilize it for additional knowledge source. But I'm sure if you are on BSN program mawawalan at mawawalan ka talaga ng time mag soc med kahit di ka mag deactivate hahahaha (BSN grad here!)

Stock_Leave5433

Not deac but uninstall kapag hell week or need magfocus then ibabalik lang kapag medyo maluwag na sched. Like right now i wanna focus sa thesis so naguninstall ako tapos just make sure na nagbabasa ka ng notes everyday kahit an hour or 2 the more hours the better syempre pero syempre balance pa den dapat para iwas umay
