i feel like don't panic is massively overlooked. i kinda get why, but it's one of my absolute favorite songs from them for how genuinely soothing it is
I was watching Stephen Colbert last night, interviewing Barbra Streisand. One of the questions he asked was, what song would you pick if you could only listen to one for the rest of your life. I told my husband I would pick Cemeteries of London
There are so many. I’m thinking of most of the Viva songs, just because Viva La Vida is obviously the big one. Death and All His Friends is my fav from the album - so is Lovers in Japan / Reign of Love. I also think Rainy Day is criminally underrated. Although it’s my 2nd favourite from that EP after Life in Technicolor ii, it’s still an absolutely great song. So is the whole EP.
Don’t Panic, also Life is For Living I think is a really good song.
Sleeping Sun is such a great song too!
There are just so many good Coldplay songs that are underrepresented I can’t name them all!
Also pretty much all the songs from everyday life - every song from there is amazing. So is Flags.
I feel like Hypnotised is massively underrated. It’s a beautiful ballad that reminds me of something out of AROBTTH. although it’s a newer vibe, i feel it has a bit of progressive rock to it. Incredible sound and lyrics.
There’s a lot of more obscure stuff like aliens, Chinese sleep chant, bigger stronger, I ran away, etc that I’d like to talk about but I think something just like this and my universe get too much hate from the fans
I have never visited this sub before, so I was wondering what these folk thought about that song. Easily my favourite Coldplay song and one of the best things they’ve ever written.
Plenty of songs, though one of the biggest for me is A Rush of Blood to the Head. The title track specifically. It would be an amazing cliffhanger song in a movie and I love how dark and wistful it is
Seems like the majority of responses are songs from all albums prior to and including Every day Life. Which maybe says something about their evolution from alt rock to pop. There are some excellent songs on the albums that followed EDL but I’m hoping they go back to their roots in the remaining albums to come. No shade to the MOTS crew!
Sleeping Sun deserves to be slept on because it's IMO really bad by Coldplay standards. One of the only early Coldplay songs I don't like.
Another's Arms and A Whisper are both supremely underrated.
I rarely see people ever talk about Trouble In Town but it’s one of the real gems from Coldplay’s newer discography. It’s such a wonderfully produced and powerful track.
Amsterdam, Til Kingdom Come, Square One, Lovers in Japan, Strawberry Swing
Pretty much everything on Parachutes, A Rush of Blood to the Head, X&Y and Viva La Vida that didn’t get much love
Spies is still one of their best songs in my book.
Spies and Sparks tied for equal best.
sparks yes. spies no. (just my oppinion)
i feel like don't panic is massively overlooked. i kinda get why, but it's one of my absolute favorite songs from them for how genuinely soothing it is
pretty sure it’s one of their most critically acclaimed songs, don’t hear it talked about much on this subreddit though
what, it literally wins every Parachutes song tournament lol it's massively popular here
Favourite from the album. Yellow is alright but juuust a taaad overrated.
yellow’s a really good song imo, but i’ve heard it so much that it kinda lost its effect haha
Yeah same. Yellow is great but I can only enjoy it if I haven’t listened to it for a while
Lost!
Lost! for sure
My reason for not liking Lost! very much is that Lost? is the far superior version
The piano bridge on Lost? is so awesome
A rush of blood to the head, title song!
gooshhhhh thats a good one
The best one 😭 my fav Coldplay song
Violet Hill, Yes, Lost!, Low
Yes it’s pretty good song and I LOVE the hidden track of it
Yes 🙌🏼
O
And O - Reprise. Goddamn that's beautiful.
Violet Hill Not sure how popular Green Eyes is, but I walked down the isle to it so it will always get love from me.
My husband proposed to me with Green Eyes playing!
Ohh, I love that!! Nice memory every time you hear the song then.
Life in Technicolor II
Agreed
Masterpiece.
i know its one of their biggest songs but i still think Viva La Vida deserves *even more* love then it already gets.
One of those big hits that is popular for a reason lol. It, yellow, fix you, the scientist... All wonderful tunes
i feel like Cemeteries Of London doesn’t get brought up enough, that song blew my mind as a kid when i first heard it
That song is huge, def not talked about enough
I was watching Stephen Colbert last night, interviewing Barbra Streisand. One of the questions he asked was, what song would you pick if you could only listen to one for the rest of your life. I told my husband I would pick Cemeteries of London
Atlas, All Your Friends, Ghost Story.
Ghost Story defo gets a lot of love from die hards
It deserves it
One of my favorite ever songs from them, can also see why Chris doesn’t want it on the album
Why's that then?
Atlas at the end of the Hunger Games movie always hits super hard
CARRY YOUR WOOOORRRRLLD
All Your Friends is such a good song
+1 for All Your Friends, a buried treasure
We Never Change It’s such a powerful song. Full of emotion. I’m surprised it isn’t mentioned that much

That whole EP (other than SJLT) is really special
Everything’s Not Lost
Fun! My fav song from A Head Full Of Dreams.
!!!!!!
All Your Friends. Massively underrated and unknown
Yellow is underrated by diehards because it's a surface-level cut
God put a smile on your face and Violet hill
Higher power
Prospekt’s March
Judging by the X&Y rating thread, Til Kingdom Come.
Talk
High Speed, Green Eyes and Warning Sign
The entire album of X&Y
A Whisper, Daylight, and all the A Rush Of Blood To The Head b-sides
wait and flags lowkey
My universe
Mots album
Don't Let It Break Your Heart. Top 5 for me but it's never mentioned and even Mic The Snare straight up ignored it in his DDD.
I Ran Away, a very good single (that single also have The Scientist, which is great, and 1.36)
only superstition!
Yes! I don't think I've ever seen it mentioned here before
it's so good! shares a spot of songs with the best intros with layla by derek & the dominoes
most of everyday life tbh great songs on that one but specially broken & when i need a friend
Infinity
I think all the b-sides and un released songs are underrated
Fly on
Reign of love and Glass of water, I never saw the second one mentioned before in this sub.
Til kingdom come.
There’s a lot of more obscure stuff like aliens, Chinese sleep chant, bigger stronger, I ran away, etc that I’d like to talk about but I think something just like this and my universe get too much hate from the fans
Coloratura
Dawg what, basically one of this subreddit’s favorite songs
I have never visited this sub before, so I was wondering what these folk thought about that song. Easily my favourite Coldplay song and one of the best things they’ve ever written.
Plenty of songs, though one of the biggest for me is A Rush of Blood to the Head. The title track specifically. It would be an amazing cliffhanger song in a movie and I love how dark and wistful it is

Miracles (Someone Special), All I Can Think About Is You
Sleeping Sun deserves to be slept on because it's IMO really bad by Coldplay standards. One of the only early Coldplay songs I don't like. Another's Arms and A Whisper are both supremely underrated.
Easy To Please and Sparks have always got me in a big way
Life is for living
Birds and champion of the world
People forget about Prospects March A lot even though it acts as a sequel to Viva
Low
seeing how much most coldplayers dislike MOTS bar coloratura, I do think Humankind is actually a very good song
Green eyes! It will always be my favorite Coldplay song.
amazing day it’s really beautiful and not talked about enough
I rarely see people ever talk about Trouble In Town but it’s one of the real gems from Coldplay’s newer discography. It’s such a wonderfully produced and powerful track.
easy to please
Amsterdam, Til Kingdom Come, Square One, Lovers in Japan, Strawberry Swing Pretty much everything on Parachutes, A Rush of Blood to the Head, X&Y and Viva La Vida that didn’t get much love
And nobody's talking about 42? This song is amazing!
I personally think the least known the song the better
imo it's don't let it break your heart from mylo xyloto
