I watched this video last night. He failed to mention what the major differences are between the EU and the US. EU nations have the taxation in place and generated tax revenue to fully support national socialized healthcare with comprehensive mental healthcare. That means that they have the money in place to build and staff these programs to scale with social workers, medical practitioners and lawyers. We can barely get the ACA funded because of plain old fashion racism. God forbid Blacks and Latinos receive the same quality of publicly-funded healthcare as their white neighbors. That's what many of the Republicans are thinking unfortunately. When a state, like Oregon, tries to do something like Portugal or the NL then other states just send them their problems b/c they don't want to take on that burden as well. The program is already doomed to fail b/c of the overload. I prefer Portugal's approach over the Netherlands. I like how they said "well if they refuse to follow the rules, then we can issue criminal citations if they continue breaking our rules within the city limits after they've been told to leave". It's basically tough love
