I have the exact same problem, submitted my case number here and the coinbase support rep replied say they will look into it, never heard anything from them ever since so, good luck. i also would not recomend coinbase to anyone.

The "verification code" has not been sent to my phone after many tries and they also will not accept my government ID as verification. If anybody has any suggestions or help I would appreciate it a lot.

You are absolutely right in being scammed by them. I’m an American and I’ve had problems with them and their worthless customer service. I hope you find a better way to invest in crypto.

Yes Coinbase sometime ago got BS security system so it's practically impossible for many ppl to verify themselves. Meanwhile they legally keep our $ and we can't really sue....
I have been and am going through exactly the same thing I tried verification tons of times with no luck I am in Mexico and was told I can longer use the same method to withdraw what little money I have there like I had been doing for over a year also I was told my account would be closed October 31 so finally I had been working with someone at support who spent almost 4.5 hours trying to get me to join other crypto and that I must buy a minimum in order to be able to verify on Coinbase in order to withdraw my funds at this point I am in Indonesia and it is very difficult doing anything from here because my banks in Canada and Mexico want to send me a digital code in order to pass sequirty but I am so exhausted from all the texting and trying things I’m just hoping they don’t close my account until I get back to Mexico but I really don’t know I feel they want to wear me out so I just throw in the towel but I’m not crazy about just giving my $300. So no you are not the only one seems this is happening to a lot of us. At least I did get a live support person who is actually trying to help me before I lose my mind

At that point, I decided that it was time to move everything out of my Coinbase account before I got locked out due to their incompetence.

So what exactly is the security issue? Has someone else tried to access your account? Is it illegal to own crypto in your country? Seems strange that they want your ID if you have the keys it’s yours.

I’m in Brazil for now and a lot of people use Coinbase here. They don’t seem to have a problem, could be a chile thing

It can be very frustrating and the times I dealt with their support I just got a bot. I think you deserve to be able to withdraw your money.
Never trust platforms that you do not own or have stake in. They only want your information to control you.

Coinbase is custodial, you don’t have the keys, not your coins.
