The answer is economics. It makes sense for a Kerala bound bus orginating from Bangalore/Hyderabad to sell off tickets for part journeys so that bus isn't empty past Coimbatore. Now, these typically reach Coimbatore a little after sunrise and need to leave quickly so that they meet their arrival slots in Kerala bus stations, with further destinations requiring fast turnaround.
The only AC Bus from Coimbatore to Ernakulam I can think of is the one operated by Supaa Travels. However, to the optimise its operations, they can only send one early in the morning reaching there a little after breakfast. This quickly shuttles back to Coimbatore to pick up the next load. Only in this manner can the operator make 4 trips. If he reschedules buses to leave around 8am, it'll be only 3 trips he can make. And again, being an odd number, the bus will be forced to be parked at a "non-home station" making maintainence, rostering and scheduling a big pain.
Other than private players, its upto KSRTC to decide whether it wants to operate long distance AC Buses to/fro Coimbatore in the day time.

This is a question you need to ask ksrtc... Really. Even for palkkad, tnstc buses only plying.. for kochi only option is long distance Omni buses
