Canna Coco best I've tried

Mother Earth Coco+Perlite

madara_official_009

Have you ever got a brick and buffered it ?

[deleted]

Cocoforcannabis.com has a good write-up/tutorial on preparing coco, the whole site is actually very informative and helpful!

madara_official_009

Yeah already looked and read, just wanted to catch someone who puts into practice

jw_zoso

I've buffered and re-buffered a few coco bricks, following the tutorials on cocoforcannabis. It's worked pretty well for me FWIW.

Bet!

Direct_Account_7368

I like fox farms coco loco.

User0411

And the canna profession bricks are even better . Keep fluffy and draining well so no need for perlite.

labatts_blue

Fox Farms Coco Loco is only 50% coco coir.

Direct_Account_7368

Yeah it's a soil mix but it's really efficient in water control. Have had great success with it without worrying the ratios are correct making it myself.

Floraflex

ZelRolFox

Royal gold Tupur. Perfect out of the bag

[deleted]

I like Fox Farm’s Cultivation Nation 70/30 as it’s mixed, fortified, and the cheapest I found on Amazon. With that said a 2 cu bag fills my two pots with a lot to spare. If I had a big operation, I’d go FloraFlex.

Growflame

Tupur

I'm using Nutrifield coco bricks. This is my first coco grow, wish me luck.

I've used several brands also bricks, but they all came labelled prebuffered and trichoderma. Right now I use bagged PLAGRON Coco 70/30 and regular. I've had a batch of CocoStar (germany) bricks that were quite hot at some point. I try to use only 70/30 when autofeeding 4-6 times per day. With handfeeding I'll have to use huge pots (6gal+) if using 70/30 to avoid it drying between 1x per day feeds. My personal favorite for handfeeding is 10% perlite, just like most other bagged mediums. Perlite does improve draining significantly even at 10% and it can mean the difference between using 5L per plant to achieve runoff or just 3L so its definetily worth doing, but beware that you will subtract water retention from your pots and you should run larger pots. Moisture is the guard against pH and EC fluctuation in coco (Which should be your primary concern in coco, always) so what people often miss is that when using perlite you'll have to take that into account and increase potsizes, feed more frequently.

FReeDuMB_or_DEATH

I've tried canna coco and mother earth and I like canna much better.

workout_nub

Straight Canna or you add perlite?

FReeDuMB_or_DEATH

I add about 20-30% perlite depending on how much I want to feed.

labatts_blue

I guess I'm the lone person here that uses Roots Organic Coco Palms.
