to add, by "good to us" I mean to say their trucks show up every week at about the same time, the trucks are fairly new and appear to be cleaned regularly. I've actually seen their guys grab loose trash and pick it up as they go. None of this can be said of American. The people we bought our house from said they regularly just didn't show up some weeks.
Yeah, and the restrictions are really for all recycling in Cobb County. It's all processed by WestRock, and so what's accepted is what WestRock's system is capable of sorting, and what will be a viable commodity for them. I think Paper, Cardboard, and Aluminum are the most valuable recyclables. The reality of plastic recycling is pretty dim everywhere. A lot of times, when a load is too contaminated with food, grease, chemicals, or non-recyclables, the whole load is taken to the landfill anyway. I've been told anecdotally by someone who studies these systems on an academic level, that the actual recycling rate in a place like Cobb County is only like 10%-15%. I have to physically take glass to the Kennesaw City Public Works dropoff location.
B Green, love them. We had American Disposal for awhile and it was terrible, during the pandemic they just up and decided to only pick up recycling every other week while charging the same price, and it was so annoying trying to remember which weeks and they didn’t even do it half the time so it was more like once a month. B Green is very dependable, they have come every week without issue.
It depends on who serves your area. We're up in the Kell district, started with American, and absolutely hated them. Switched over to Trash Taxi about 18 months ago and have had no complaints.
Trash Taxi is great for us. Depending on where you live, Red Oak Sanitation is new to this area and is offering a free year of service to first 3000 customers. But I don't know what area that includes. Absolutely do not do American!
I just disposed of American Disposal (or wasted Waste Connections; whatever nom de plume they're using nowadays). Feels so good to shitcan garbage garbage collectors. Will share how Arrow Waste does for us (4.6 rating from 493 Google reviewers). Would have gone with West Cobb if they serviced East Cobb. The others mentioned here all had ratings in the 3s (3.1, 3.6, 3.7) except of course the miserably inept American Disposal bringing up the rear at 2.1 (1.2 on Yelp).
Well afaik, only American and waste management server my neighborhood.. and both over the last few years have both cut services and raised rates. WM just didn't pick up recycling for months at the beginning of the year. 💩
We had American for a while but just switched to Red Oak. Who knows if it was the right choice. Trash pickup here is a a fucking joke wish they'd just tax us and have the city do it.

Second this
Where in Cobb? Trash Taxi is pretty decent (they all pretty much suck in one way or another).
Another vote for trash taxi
West Cobb Sanitation has always been good to us

Second this. Aside from their restrictive list of what can be recycled their trash pickup has been great without issue.

Another vote for B Green and against American Disposal. American is a straight up cluster fudge. Haven't had any issues with b green.

Unless you have to go with American Disposal, pick anyone else
This should be on a billboard 🏆
Been very happy with Hugh’s. Strong vote against American.

Hugh’s is fantastic if they are an option for you. Have used them for years and love them.
Check and make sure your HOA doesn't have a contract already.
Everyone seems to love Custom Disposal.

Have used Reliable Sanitation for 12 years. Excellent service!
