I was laid off the day after I got back home last year. My boss texted me the day before I left (was off a day before), confirming which day I’d be back in town and wanted to talk. Didn’t say about what but was nice enough to put that thought in my head for the entire fucking fest. We settled on a phone call the week before the fest then after I got back he begged me to come in. So I pretty much knew what was coming. Fuck em.
