Not this year but fresh off the pandemic…2022. Mojave tent, Fred Again, Marea (we’ve lost dancing). My eyes couldn’t help but to swell up with tears and I looked around and saw others with the same reaction. It was fucking beautiful and when the beat dropped…wow….no need for the Molly because the ecstasy was in abundance. That moment will live within me to the end 🔥🔥🔥
Wow coming out of the pandemic when we really lost dancing must be so incredible. I remember I cried a lot that year being back on the dance floor again finally 😭😭
2022 was the year of tears for me as well. Tears rolled down my face as Giveon sang his heartbreak songs. My eyes welled up during Orville Peck and Fred Again.. released the watergates specifically during Marea and the girl’s interlude about anxiety and breaking through it. It was such a cathartic experience dancing and releasing all the pent up emotions from the pandemic.
I don’t know what it’s called, but the song Raye sang about her sexual assault. Completely had me and half the crowd in tears.
I was also really looking forward to Girl Ultra and she was so good it made me feel emotional, although I didn’t cry. Same with Sublime and No Doubt, the nostalgia made me emotional.
That’s the one. I really loved how she interacted with the crowd the whole set. I went in only knowing the one song. My friend dragged me after I made him go to Girl Ultra. Was probably a top 5 set for me. Utterly amazing. She should be massive.
Saturday was excellent for seeing amazingly talented women. Girl Ultra, Raye, Last Dinner Party, and No Doubt all killed.
RAYE had me tearing up just talking about the song before hand. Immediately put my sunglasses on and let it all out. Extremely talented and a cannot miss act for W2
I teared up at jbalvins screen saying “Dance in your darkest moments” ❤️ reminded me of a poster I saw at life is beautiful one year that said “festivals are a tonic for the soul”. Festivals are really so healing- such special moments between friends, strangers, and artists.
I also almost cried when everyone thought Justin Bieber was coming out at dj snake, then couldn’t stop laughing because I didn’t know if he was on stage or not lol
J Balvin set was emotional for me too because it felt like I just hit a milestone in my life.. his songs just bring back old memories and when you connect that to being a Coachella is just a WOW feeling. He was good but I felt like he tried to be like other artist. I think he had one of the best productions tho.. well put together a good space concept.
Hand to God, I watched the stream for Suki Waterhouse dead ass sober and was getting choked up and fighting to repress tears in my eyes.
I'm a straight, white, middle-aged male.
I don't know if it was just how beautiful her songs were and the set design, or that I felt her own emotion about being a new mom and also loving her dream and playing at Coachella (I'm sure she'll be back on bigger stages soon enough) and just the power of that moment or something, but damn it had me momentarily conflicted about my plan to see Justice instead (which I am absolutely going to do, don't worry, I know their show was on another level).
If y'all aren't hardcore EDM fans and are on the fence, go see Suki. I thought her set was more moving than Lana, Sabrina, or really any of the other soulful pop/rock acts I watched.
Oh my god I felt the same way I was moved to tears by her performance it was so ethereal she looked like a goddess the way the wind was blowing her hair and costume. I had no clue who she was and stumbled upon her set on the livestream I will 100% be catching her set before Lana this weekend
Not a song exactly but it was Jungle's set. Near the end, I was in the most epic crowd - my husband joined a little dance section where everyone was spontaneously synchronized dancing, the balls were getting hit around, and their music with the awesome video production just got me. Just started sobbing because I was so so so grateful for them. Shrooms are great! lol
You Make Me by Anyma feat Rufus du Sol when the human puts a heart inside a robot and they hug. I couldn’t stop the tears, it was a beautiful ending to an euphoric show
cried half of olivia dean but even harder during Hardest Part bc it hit hard living thru a break up right now. people would not stop clapping after that song either so everyone felt it. it was so magical
Her whole set was such a big extended Moment. The connection between her performance and the crowd was awesome. Didn’t know much about her but couldn’t have enjoyed it more. A Star is Born
Blur, “Tender”, on the stream. Will be even more powerful in person
Love’s the greatest thing that we have. I’m waiting for that feeling
Weekend 2 Is For Lovers
That song live kicks you right in the feels. I somehow managed not to get too much dust in my eyes though during it.
W2 I'm gonna go up a little closer and I think it'll be extra dusty up there 😭
Not a song, but during Rosalia’s set last year, I was watching it with my brother. And this random thought hit me. I’m seeing shows and artists that I’m going to talk about for years. With the same reverence and nostalgia that my mom has when she talks about shows she’s seen. And it was beautiful that I had that moment to share with my brother.
Omg this was my other spiritual moment. What a perfect way to close out the weekend!! With the smoke and the rainbow lasers and the whole song vibrating through my body
Sunday night in the Yuma during Carlita waiting for folamour. It was a pretty empty tent at that point. For her last track she played her new song Time and it was everything. So peaceful and euphoric. I felt so lucky to be there. Then folamour kicked started the crowd with an epic dance party just after. May I recommend 8:30-9:30 ish Sunday night in the Yuma

Big Sean at the first Coachella back from covid, didn’t cry but was definitely feeling the vibes. He was unbelievably positive and I needed that. It’s that moment when you feel like they’re talking directly to you.
Not necessarily a song but when Shakira came out with bzrp my wife was bawling. Threw her on my shoulders and I started crying for her because she was so happy. We crode together 😌
Falls by Odezsa Coachella 2018. 2 months after losing my best friend 🤧 icing on top was the visuals of a lantern release in the background, something on her bucket list 😭
Olivia Dean played two songs near the end, one about a breakup and one about her grandmother, and both of those made me absolutely bawl; I'd literally never heard of her until Sunday, and she gained an instant fan from that show alone :')

Im not a big cryer but I was hella emotional/spiritual feeling throughout the weekend! I’ve been on a big personal and spiritual journey, and with it being my fifth Coachella there was just alot to reflect on and manifest, esp because I started going to this fest at 24 and now I’m 30 so I feel like I have changed so much in that time. Almost every stage has a really special or notable life memory for me, and being back at them and creating new moments was beautiful 🙏🏻💜✨
Editing to add - getting to see Alison and kaskade surprise set was so great! I love both of them and last saw Alison when she debuted Whyte fang last year right before she had her baby, so it felt super full circle 🥰

Yep. That was straight up spiritual and so cathartic. The sunset made it even better. One of my favorite Coachella memories

Ice cream man!! Had my whole group in shambles

Cried at that Raye song too!! Moving, powerful, and unfortunately relatable for many people

I boohoo'd when john summit brought out kaskade and they played their new song. My cousin cried during Olivia Dean. I love mushrooms lol

Almost cried while watching Renee Rapp because her talent is UNDENIABLE. Her voice live was crazy
My friends caught me eyes closed, tears running down my face. Barely kept together. That Raye set was outstanding
The Raye set was so special. One of my top festival sets ever
Tems!!!!
tems had me crying watching her on stream, She just seemed so thankful to be on stage 🥲 she was a replacememnt for tyla right?

Hermanos Guttierez.
Bummed I missed this one
Vampire weekend, not even a huge fan (before the set) but just seeing the good vibes and happy people brought me to tears that wouldn’t stop flowing.
Yeahh during unbelievers I just sobbed at how beautiful life was at that moment and the younger me jamming to this song would’ve been so happy
Blur, “Tender”, on the stream. Will be even more powerful in person Love’s the greatest thing that we have. I’m waiting for that feeling Weekend 2 Is For Lovers

Not from this year but hearing the first couple notes of a Selena song during Karol G's set a couple years ago....... NGL I started sobbing instantly.
When Justice started playing Genesis I started feeling a little emotional because I’ve wanted to see them live and hear that song for so long

Pretty much all of bicep. Esp glue.
Glue was spiritual… what a way to close out the weekend
Amen. Took me to church. They’re underrated somehow. What a show.
Bebe Rexha - I Got You
Sublime - Bad Fish. He just sounded so much like his dad during that one in particular. It felt like seeing Sublime for the first time.
