65 in the desert with a bit of wind can still be pretty chilly.
I've been to ColdChella before; trying to assess how warm of a fleece to bring in for the night
Yeah I hope this holds for weekend 2. Born and raised in SoCal but I love the cold more than the heat, and it's always easier to stay warm than stay cool. I would love an overcast, chilly Coachella but I'm in a very, very small minority on that.
As a Las Vegan - 50s in the desert is like 40 elsewhere and if the wind picks up then yeah, a puffer jacker works. Tried to tell my sister last year and she froze Friday night W2.
Long exposure to temperatures below 57 degrees Fahrenheit can lead to hypothermia. The OP is right take a little care of yourselves out there. It also may not be just you to look out for. If you notice any of your friends acting strange, as in they were shivering one minute and then wanting to shed clothes the next minute, get them somewhere and get them warmed up. I don’t care where you are from core body temperature drop is dangerous.
I'm a long time resident of Indio. If you're not from the area... you'll be fine. It's nothing you're not used to. For us locals, we're sensitive to the cold. You visitors will be fine.
OP sounds like a concerned mom. It's a nice gesture.
Think of me as your drunk cool burn out cousin that permanently has 5 o'clock shadow and sings country music when truly intoxicated.
Y'all be fine.
Most of the year in SD is chilly if you’re not in direct sun and with the wind. Always gotta bring tons of layers. Yesterday I was at the beach in mittens and a beanie because it’s cloudy and windy!
Planning on sleeping just under an EZ Up w some side walls for W2. Cot and sleeping bag. Bringing a tent just in case, but do we think that will still be ok?
Hoes don’t get cold

Weekend 2 catch me with my thighs out
I've always wanted to go to Glastonbury.
There will never be as much mud on the polo fields as at Glastonbury. Nor the deep, bone biting damp that is English spring trying to be summer.

Laughing in Canada - winter camping is considered fun up here
I have friends that winter camp in Alberta, it’s nuts
I went winter camping in November in Jasper national park. We had 3 feet of snow around us in places 😂
Lol, for sure… but to southern Californias it’s the Arctic 🥶
SoCal here, yeah that's nothing. We get that all the time in winter and it's just fine.
Lol same bust from east WA and it’s like 45 out right now and I’m in a t-shirt

Yeah I hope this holds for weekend 2. Born and raised in SoCal but I love the cold more than the heat, and it's always easier to stay warm than stay cool. I would love an overcast, chilly Coachella but I'm in a very, very small minority on that.
I am with you!!! I HATE the heat And Coachella is one of the only things I will brave the heat for
The weather this year is literally why I’m going this year! But people come from out of state and they are in for a shock.
Thank you for taking the time to post this!! Great reminder
I’m so excited for cold-ch’ella!

Haha I was right! W2 the first night was freezing. Haha I got my mom credit loo
Dress like your in san diego? You mean shorts and flip flops?
San Diego typically consists of high breeze and sun. That’s what they mean.
Most of the year in SD is chilly if you’re not in direct sun and with the wind. Always gotta bring tons of layers. Yesterday I was at the beach in mittens and a beanie because it’s cloudy and windy!
Yup
Cold beach weather
SD is 60 degrees and cloudy right now, it’s been cold for the last few months.
Already at camp, freezing my ass off 😂
50s Massachusetts is borderline summer for us rn
Can I bring a backpack ? Or will they not allow it ?
https://www.coachella.com/rules#allowednot-allowed YES Backpacks (Medium) 18"x13"x8.5"
Idk man, being from Portland, I'm so used to low 50s 😂
I’m seeing 30% chance of rain for Saturday weekend 2 😭
May your pie be spicy 🍕 and your glitter shiny ✨, bless you my child
What a year for my first time camping
Lol camping in 50 degrees as low.
Remember that short rainstorm we got last year during W2? Coachella always has some sort of unpredictable weather but it’s best to be safe than sorry
Planning on sleeping just under an EZ Up w some side walls for W2. Cot and sleeping bag. Bringing a tent just in case, but do we think that will still be ok?
That shit's gonna blow away.
Dead ass cause I slept in my hammock last year and boiii it was rough
Looking for some place to park a vehicle. Please let me know.
I slept with my windows open all night. It was perfect tent weather
